Hyphean Apocalypse: Chapter 2: The Race
-Who are you? - asked Frost the little water sorceress.
-You should tell me who you are first! Haven't you got any manners? -answered Aqua angrily.
-Fine... I'm Frost, and I came from the icy desert. – said Frost, sighing.
-Well, that's much better. I'm Aqua, the queen of water.
-But aren't you a bit too small for a queen?
-Watch your language if you don't want me to drown you!!! –replied Aqua furiously. Frost sweated a little. Then, he looked around and decided to go on with exploring.
-Ok, Aqua, nice to meet you, but I must go now...
-Wait! – interrupted Aqua. –Don't leave me alone here!
-Well, if you want to come with me, you're welcome. But don't expect me to treat you like a queen, ok?
-Grrr... now you crossed the line! – shouted Aqua, and hopped into the water. Then she summoned another wane and aimed it at Frost. But Frost's staff shone, and he fired an ice beam making a new ice path. Before the wave was able to hit him, he created a new iceboard and slid away.
-Let's have a little race, shall we? – shouted Frost to Aqua. She was now very angry at Frost. But still, she accepted the challenge. She dived into the water, and in the next second, she dived out in front of Frost.
-You'll never defeat me! – she told him.
-We'll see about that!
Frost used his staff to gain speed by hitting the ice below him. The race started. Frost managed somehow to get Aqua. But she was actually just warming up. When she saw Frost, she summoned another wave, this time, below her. The wave gave her additional speed, and it looked like Frost will never win the race now. But he was smart: he jumped off the icy path, and landed on the wave, using its power to gain as much speed as Aqua did. He was surfing like he did it all his life. Aqua summoned more and more waves, but Frost just used them and followed Aqua like that. The race continued like that until near end. They saw a mountain in front of them.
-Looks like I won, you'll never catch me! – shouted Aqua proudly. Frost thought he lost for a moment. But then an idea occured to him. He took his staff and formed žthe path in front of him so that it goes upwards, allowing him to jump over it. He then used his staff and fired an ice beam just in front of Aqua, making an iceberg. She was swimming too fast and she couldn't stop herself. So she summoned a wave in front of her to avoid it. But the wave made her stop and pushed her backwards. Frost flew above her, and landed on the bottom of the mountain. He won.
-HEY, THAT'S NOT FAIR!!! – shouted Aqua, angrily.
-Why? I didn't attack you! – answered Frost, with a wide smile on his face for winning. He had so much fun like he never did in his whole life.
-Fine, you win. But you won't get away so easily next time, understand?! – said Aqua and swam towards the bottom of teh mountain. – So what now? - she asked him.
- I don't know... I'm just wandering around. Hey! Let's climb up and see if tehre are any other sorcerers!
-Are you crazy? I never went out of the area! I could die!!!
-Come on, nothing can happen to us. There's two of us, right?
-If anything happens to me... – mumbled Aqua – I'll drown you! Understand?!
-Ok! – laughed Frost, finding it funny that a small girl is shouting at him.
He aimed at the mountain with his staff, making stairs of ice. Aqua wanted to stay away from the ice, so she made something else for herself. She used the water from the sea and made a river that was flowing upwards to the top of the mountain. Frost was amazed by the powers of the young girl. She controlled the water just like he controlled the ice. He jumped up the icy stairs, while Aqua swam through the river she made.
