Time Is Money
"No, I do not want you to be sad Mr. Andersen",said Theo. "I am regestered to begin classes next semester at the university in Welko City. After the summer break I am moving there. It is two hours by train, and I wont be able to come home very often."
Theo stood and bowed to the old man, picking up his books he said, "I have to go now, my biology teacher said she had an important announcement this morning and I don't want to miss it."
"Of course you don't", said the old man. "Theo you are a man now. A college man. You don't have to be so formal. You can call me Parker. My friends call me Parker."
"Yes sir, Parker I mean. I will"
"And we will see each other often. I know we will", the old man said with that grin that always made Theo feel he was kidding. Then something different happened. The old man reached into his coat and pulled out a folded paper. "My number and e-mail, I will be out of town until sunday, but I have a feeling when I get back you will want to see me. Send a message, or call AFTER sunday."
When the old man stood up he held his pinky out with his right hand, fist closed and pointed it right at Theos chest, just like Theos father would do when he was giving him instructions. "Now don't lose that number, okay", and again there was the old mans grin.
