Sindalla's Ending
This is the contest winning entry i wrote for Sindalla. It's longer than the original entry, about as long as the first episode of the Key to Eden. Anyway, i hope you guys like it.
-"Who's there?" Sindalla said, trembling as she watched the curtains move inward as if someone had entered the room through the window. Suddenly, a dark figure stood over her. The figure was draped in dark robes and chains hung from his hands and feet. The figure frightened Sindalla, so much that she tried to call out to Kain. But the fear muffled her voice to a small murmur. The figure moved closer. "Who are you?" Sindalla said meekly. "What do you want from me?" The figure moved away and shed his robes. Sindalla was shocked at what she saw. "Raziel?"
"It is me, the ghost of Raziel," it said. "My love," Sindalla said teary eyed, "what are you doing here? Why are you in chains." "This is my punishment," he replied. "Your punishment?" Sindalla said confused. "But why? You were a good man." "No, I wasn't," Raziel said sadly. "I was an evil man, to everyone.....to you." "Raziel..." she said depressed.
"Do you remeber our 1st anniversary?" Raziel said. "And how I missed it because I was pillaging a nearby village? And when I hit you when you asked where I was?" "Yes... I do remember," she answered. "That was one of the many times I hurt you," Raziel explained. "My punishment is to undo every wrong I've have committed to the human race. You are the first on my list." "What do you want me to do?" Sindalla asked.
"Do you remember my friend, Terra Zero?" he asked. "Yes," she answered. "He was there to comfort me when ever I hurt." "Whenever I hurt you," Raziel responded. "Terra Zero always tried to make me treat you better. And I never listened. He knew from my behavior that I would meet my end soon, so he swore to protect you if I died." "Really?" Sindalla said. "Yes," he answered. "I want you to go to him. Let him treat you like I never could." "But, Raziel," she asked, "what if I fall in love with him?" "Believe it or not," he replied, "that is my intention." "Okay," she said. "Farewell, Sindalla," he said. "I will always love you..." His voice trailed off as he dissappeared through the window.
"You're really going to do this?" Kain asked concerned. "I have to," Sindalla replied. "It's Raziel's dying wish." "You still don't have to do it," he said. "Well... maybe I think me and Terra Zero could be in love...maybe," she replied. "Well, I support you, sis," Kain replied. "If this is what you wanna do, I'm all for it." "Thanks, Kain," she said. "I'm glad you approve." The next morning, Sindalla set out to find Terra Zero.
Sindalla had traveled long and far when she reached Raziel's hometown. She started down the road, until a massive dragon flew overhead. The dragon lunged at Sindalla, hoping to pick her off in one fell swoop. She was weak from her journey and very distraught at the thought of not finishing her quest. She prepared herself for the worst.
As the dragon closed in, a mysterious figure jump onto the dragon's back. He force the dragon to fly out of Sindalla's way, and the slit it's throat. He then redirected to corpse to a nearby lake. The figure then landed in front of Sindalla. "It's you," she said. "Terra Zero." "You had me worried Sindalla," he replied cheerfully. "You must be tired. I'll get you something to eat."
Terra Zero protected Sindalla from that moment on. Sindalla realized what Raziel was trying to say. Sindalla never forgot that night: when her 1st love lead her to the love of her life.
Again, I hope you guys like it as much as Sindalla did. I'll post the next episode of the Key to Eden Thursday at the most.
-Terra Zero
