The Key to Eden: Episode 4
Okay, before i go into my story i just gotta say this first. HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!! Well technically it isn't Valentines day, but i won't be on a computer then, so might as well get it out. and here's my gift to you guys!
This episode marks the turning point in The Key to Eden. A catalyst if u will. From here on out, the bulk of the story will be revealed. Backstories will begin to take shape, and relationships will begin to unfold. The quest begins here.
Correction: Last night i realized that i made a mistake on the second episode. Rhea was supposed to introduce herself to Ryujin, but it must've slipped my mind. So in this episode assume that he knows her name.
Episode 4: Premonition
Meanwhile, as Rhea slept peacefully, Ryujin Toshinomori stood atop Mt. Shin, a large mountain that overlooked most of civilized Teragenine, and gazed at the sky. Teragenine's 2 moons shone brilliantly in the star-filled sky, and entranced the mysterious swordsman.
"Never have I seen such a beautiful night," thought Ryujin. "But I have a feeling that these nights will become even more rare, as time moves on. I have had to fend off against many more Demagen than ever before, some of likes I've never encountered before. Why are the Demagen becoming more and more hostile? Is something about to happen?Something that will change the face of Teragenine forever? And if so, what is it?"
As Ryujin pondered these very serious questions, Rhea was experiencing her own prophetic revalation, in the form of a dream. This dream disturbed Rhea's tranquil slumber, bringing images to her head of a nature never before seen. The first image was the eye's of a man, one eye purple, one eye gold. The eys were filled with tears, and were losing their lively glow.
The next image was that of a man talking to Rhea's mother. The man was wearing a Teragenine Spectrum's uniform, meaning that he had completed his training. The man embraced her mother, who seemed to be crying. Inside the house, there was a baby girl, no older than 1 year, sleeping in a crib inside the house. The man then left.
The next image pictured the same man fighting hundreds of thousands of Demagen. Wielding a sword, the cut throught as many monsters as he could. However, he was soon overcome, and the Demagen swarmed him and attack unrelentingly until the man fell dead.
As Rhea, struggled with this dream, Ryujin walked through a vast meadow, still pondering some important questions. "Then ther's that girl," he said to himself. "Rhea, i think her name was. What is it about her? She is only the 2nd person the bring about the pain of my curse." "Ryujin stared at his left arm, which was covered in horrible burns and blisters. "Damn," he cursed. "This wound is taking longer to heal than I thought. A burn of this degree should have heal in 2 hours, but 12 have gone by. What gives this girl the power to change the effects of the cirsed placed on me those many decades ago? Why is she different?"
The next scene of Rhea's dream was more horrifying than any other. She saw a large group of Demagen surrounding a Spectrum, which was guarded by about 20,000 warriors, many of which were still in their teens. The warriors succesfully fended of the group of monsters, but suffered many casualties in the process. There force was reduced to no more than 5,000, when a 2nd wave of Demagen attacked. The monsters mutilated and massacred the remaining troops. They then began to attack the barrier around the Spectrum; it was soon broken. The monster proceded to annihilate the spectrum and everything in it.
As Ryujin continued his walk, he sat down by a large tree. "Maybe my wound will heal in an hour, when the sun rises," he thought. Then he fell asleep. In that hour, he was woken by a rustling sound in the trees. He quickly began to check his surroundings. Seeing nothing, he proceded to go back to sleep, when he was attacked by a Baskerville, a Demagen that resembled a horribly mutilated hound. Before the Baskerville could connect with it's attack, Ryujin unsheathed his sword and slashed the montrous mutt.
Before he could celebrate the monster's defeat, a large group of Baskerville surrounded him. "Well," Ryujin said as he prepared to wield his might blade, "I could use a little morning excersise." He then pulled his sword, slightly, which caused it glow. At this sight, the Baskerville lunged at Ryujin. He then jumped into the air and unsheathed his blade, which was now glowing brilliantly. "Meteor Crush!!"he yelled as he drove his glowing blade at the force of a comet into the pack of monsters.
"What is going on?" He said himself. He then ran for higher ground to observed the situation. He looked into the rising sun and was petrified by what he saw. An enormous legion of Demagen flooded over the horizon. "Where are they headed?" he said paniced. Then he understood: the monsters were headed straight foe Shoryuzen Specttum! "Oh no," he thought. "The girl, her and everyone else will be massacred!!" He then rushed off to defend the Spectrum, but his progress was impeded by another group of Demagen. "I'll never make it," said Ryujin solemnly. He then began to cut his way though the horde of Demagen.
The final image in Rhea's dream haunted her. She was in this scene. She was crying her eyes out, as she watched helplessly as Ryujin was brutally tortured by a female demon with bladed tentacles. Ryujin was hanging from a cross, mumbling the same words over and over. "This is my fate? This my fate..." he cried. The words pierced Ryujins heart like a knife.
Rhea finnaly woke up. "That dreams was too eerie." she said to herself. "I wonder what it meant...."She then looked at her alarm clock. "Oh no!" she screamed. "I'm late again!!"
Little did she know, this day would be the catalyst which would change her life, and her destiny, forever.
I hope you like it. Spread the word.
