   countries2
English, blah, my shotty arm hurts.

I did a bit of work on Byely, an island I'm assigned to. I think I'm having trouble with it because while I have a Byelite noble as a character, he's not part of the royal family. With Zephyr the whole country is based around the von Bavol. This makes it really easy to do all the history and the laws and penalties are pretty easy, but I can't do that with Byely. And then it's an island country so it's going to work slightly differently anyway. I'm probably overthinking all this.

So, what I got on Byely is that it's a monarchy with a royal family and twelve noble families. Byely's also loosely based on parts of Russian culture, just like Hogosha is loosely based on parts of Japanese culture, and Aziz is based loosely on Persain parts of culture. Zephyr's fictional but has a Slavic Greek hint.

The twleve noble families of Byely are split into three groups. Two serve the royal family directly as advisors, four are the military leaders, and the other six govern Byely directly. These twelve all have numeral last names and the royal family has a color last name, but it's not Byely. It used to be Byely decades ago.

Byely's going to be the least of my troubles when it comes to country developement. I'm pretty sure my biggest problem will be Amerique (probably spelled wrong). We have Amerique because it's not easy to always place a character in with a country. And to be honest you're going to have people so mutt that you don't really know what they are. These are the Ameriquans (spelled wrong probably). I've got two Epic characters that are Ameriquan, Aurora and Borealis. They're mutts and they were born in Amerique like their parents. I've got a backstory character, Juneau, who's Ameriquan but was born in Roux and lived there for many years. Kaspar, Phyre, and Swift are all Ameriquan only because I don't have my map. They all look a little off and I don't want to start complicating our human breeds so they'll probably stay Ameriquan but grow up in different countries. Yeah, this country will be hard because the name is pretty much the only thing it has in common with my country, to my knowledge so far. They can't really have much government since it's just the home of all the mutts. It'll be hard.

The only two of my mutts that I know a bit of heritage for is Juneau and Swift. It's weird since they're not important to the actual story. Juneau's got red eyes so she'd have some Blackwooder in her. Swift is all tan, eyes, shin, hair, everything. The skin would probably mean he's either part Rixarian or a really tiny part Ch'hoyain (spelled wrong). I guess technically he could be part Zephyrian but the country hasn't been around long enough for mutts. You'd be able to tell if they had Zephyrian probably.

So, other then working on bits of countries and looking up falconry, I worked a little on the del Ignis family. They're a Zephyrian family in charge of the battle stuff, even though the von Bavol always lead battles as the leaders of Zephyr. This is a fiery and aggressive family. They're pretty cool. The first four del Ignis to set foot in Zephyr came after six of the seven founding families came together and had been together nearly a year. They were Mordechai, Valkyrie (his wife), Uzi (son), and Lluvia (daughter). They had a couple more kids later but I didn't bother. Uzi had a few kids with his oldest son being Rian. The del Ignis never questioned the von Bavol at any time and are the only family to do so. Presently, the von Bavol and the du Drake have some friction but you can see that in the history. It's just worse now. But, yeah, the del Ignis are like immune to battle. Duscha marries into that family. I figured a del Ignis son would be the only one able to deal with her. She's a little bit scary.

I'm supposed to be sleeping so I can get you early to get my brother on the bus. I guess this is it. I think it's hilarious I go on and on about this totally fake world and it's people like I was doing a sick form of a documentary. Oh well, you can't make a character alive unless you talk about them like they are.
