I felt like posting but I don't really have anything to post about. I clipped my cat's nails yesterday...I guess that's something. She's very good about it since I've had her since she was a week old and had to keep her claws trimmed when she was little. She just sits there and growls but when you let her go she wants to play. She's a very odd animal. The reason I kept her nails trimmed was because I was working at the humane shelter raising orphan and abandonned sick and dying kittens. So, I'd get a bunch of dying two week old kittens and I'd have to feed them around the clock. The ones that made it (which was a lot for me since I was the best) I would give baths and trim their claws because at the shelter they'd cut their claws so that little kids could hold them without them getting scratched. It's better then declawing and the furnature stays intact. Declawing is actually when the vet removes the toe up to the first joint. That's like a human cutting off the tip of thier finger to the first joint. I worked in the vet clinic the shelter had too. I got to wear those cloth surgen masks and everything.

Yeah, enough about that. I'm going to try to explain the below clippet a little. When I was thinking about the whole litte Wizard of Oz song, I was trying to think who had a mother. Zhek, Kaspar, Ah-nee and the other von Bavol, Aurora and Borealis, and Caleb. I think those are my only characters with living mothers. Zhek loves his mother and Koji loves her too. She's a stand up lady. Ah-nee was a bit of a mama's boy and Ratri's awesome. Aurora and Borealis had a great relationship with their mother. And Kaspar still is a bit of a mama's boy. I was completely lost but then I remembered Caleb had a mother too.

Caleb from birth was a great disappointment to both of his parents, which is why they named him Caleb. They adored his little brother who's name starts with a 'K' and means 'hero'. I think it's Hawaiian but I can't remember it right now. I confuse it with his dog's name. So, Caleb was walking on Rixari with his brother and they got jumped by thugs. That's why Caleb has a scar on either is chest, side, or back because they stabbed him. When he woke up his brother wasn't there. so the whole island blamed him and banished him. Needless to say, he has a pretty bad relationship with his mother.

And Inay, Inay de la Requiem. He's a renegade from Rixari. He's half Riaxarian, the only half Rixarian, and was despised for it. He was supposed to be the high-priest of the living fire god, who was supposed to be Caleb. When Caleb came out normal he got some of the blame. Then when his little sister, Strawberry, was born, it became clear he was only half Rixarian. He ran away and tried to get into the demon half of the world. I think he just got lost. He's convinced he's insane because he doesn't think like the Rixarians. He devoted most of his life to killing Caleb for being born normal. They obviously become...well, not friends. They sort of just start traveling together since Inay was always a step behind him. Inay's name translated out means 'god of the requiem'. Unlike Caleb, who is traveling under a different surname, Inay is very proud of his name even though he hates Rixari and Rixarians. We had a lot of fun picking out names.

And then there's Flair Albright. She's not my character. Maybe Sam (The Echo Effect) can put some info up later. She's basically the reason Inay hasn't killed Caleb. She's sun crazy so she saw Caleb and started following him spouting out all this stuff about the sun being great. Caleb hates the idea of the sun as a body but he's also very kind and polite, so he's just trying to brush her off gently. It never works. So, that's our trio. They're a lot of fun even though we don't work with them much. I've got to start working on the dog. Dogs rock.
