I don't know why but just recently, like two days ago, I just feel like writing backstory. I think it has something to do with my oral report on the Onodaga this Friday that I haven't started on. I seem to want to write when I have school. I don't really enjoy writing either. It's just a way to put off class work until the last second. Which isn't the case with my Anthropology work. I did that yesterday. It was weird, I've never done homework since starting college, let alone on a weekend. If I keep doing work on Sundays then I'll be done with college really soon. Which is great because I should've been done already.

Well, the backstories I have right now are Caleb's and Zhek's. Zhek's is going to be pretty easy. I started it when he leaves for Hogosha. Most of it he'll be possessed so he'll just be fading in and out. Never done that from that point of veiw. I've written Luke (Mirror Image) in the daze possession type deal but you always saw that from someone else's eyes.

My cat just tried eatting my History work. I don't know what's up with her lately. Now she's carrying my headphones in her mouth. Great. Now she's trying to attack the keyboard while chewing the laptop wire. I need to rent a terrier or a ferret for her to play with for an hour. My dogs can't play with her anymore. Two of them are old and she's too rough, and the other can switch from play to kill in a heartbeat. She's a little scared of the cat too. Yesterday my old dog, Milleficent, was downstairs with me. She's getting clingy since she's eleven now. She was laying there and the cat came over and laid down with her. It looked like the cat was licking her ear so my first thought was 'aawww', but then the cat started jumping on her ear and batting it around. The poor old dog just whined for me to get the cat away. She's not even a kitten, she's almost five. And this is unbelievebly off topic from backstories.

So, I'm at the point in Caleb's background when he's put on a raft and kicked out to sea. I started his when he was fourteen, turning fifteen since all the really early stuff would be in Inay's backstory. Caleb should really thank Inay. Without him he'd never know the exact day his birthday was. I came up with Inay's hair style at last too. We carved out rough ideas of hair, eye, and skin colors on SC3 to see the closest thing to what our characters would look like. They've got bad hair in there. Inay's still got nearly shoulder length brown hair but it doesn't look stupid like it was in the rough image. And Caleb's isn't as long. He had short hair until he was banished. You know, if Rixarians weren't cruel and nuts they'd be pretty. They just see to...radiate. Really creepy when they're mad though. Our eyes shine when we get angry but because of the skin, hair, and eye colors the Rixarians have, their eyes look like they're glowing. Inay might look scarier because his eyes are a goldish orange color and then his skin is a litle lighter and he's got dark hair. Natural shadows and reflections from his skin and hair, added with anger and eye color would make them look blazing. Caleb would probably look more like he was glowing all together in the right light.

And I was connecting characters early this morning. Just having Charisma (Sam's character) as Zhek's tutor, or just piano tutor, connects him to Devote (Sam's character) and her to Aurelius, Koji, Nayeli, and the von Bavol. And Haruki and Kuri on a much lesser note. And connecting her with the von Bavol also connects her to Eliak (Sam's character), Porqe (Meg's character), Adellenine, Wheeler (Sam's character), The Hawkers, the twins, the Cartels (Bobby's characters)...and that's all I can think of right now. My food's finally done so I don't have to pretend I've got things to talk about anymore.
