I DOUBT THAT YOU DOUBT WHAT I DOUBT
Hey there guys! Do you smell what The Mask is cookin?
Well tis week was fine. Yesterday, I met some old faces while going to school and while going home from school. I also met some of my former teachers in high school last Saturday after watching the play "Doubt". (And yes, takeshi takumi. The play's name was, in fact, "Doubt".)
Speaking of "Doubt", the play was really good. For an infrequent stage play viewer (with "Doubt" being the first non-school sponsored stage play he has ever seen), I have to say that I was impressed by the story, the acting, their use of minimalism (not having many props but still managing to tell the story), the "humor breaks", and, most especially, the accent. The actors were Filipinos, so when I heard them talk in a Brooklyn accent, I was like, "Whoa!"
In Religious Education class, we had this presentation on the story "Life As A Hero's Journey". The other groups had a crazy cheerleader performance (where, ironically, the straight guy was doing most, if not all, of the damn cheerleading instead of his female companions) and a rap performance (which was amusing, especially since it was one of our resident smart guy that did the rapping). For our group, we had an original song presentation. I think ours was the best of all the performances, because we did it well and we really got a huge pop (applause) from our class. Our teacher even gave us a very high 1.1 grade. Maybe it was because of the use of cute Nursery Rhyme tunes combined with original lyrics created by you-know-who.
I'm already in Chapter 18 in "Have A Nice Day!", the old Mick Foley book I bought a week ago. I gotta say I really enjoyed reading the novel. Enjoyed it so much that I didn't give a damn if was a heel these days. Reading it also makes me wish he would start updating "Foley is Blog", which had never been updated for exactly one month already.
My anime article progress is 0%. I'm so busy with college that I can't have time to make one. It's also because of my busy college life that I can't get to watch a lot anime anymore these days. Either that, or there's just no anime that interests me these days.

TODAY'S SPECIAL
Rememeber our little song performance in Religious Education class. Well that's gonna be TODAY'S SPECIAL. It's Christian-related, okay. And I'm only gonna show 2 out of the 5 jingles so as not to make this post damn long. Well here goes.
SONG # 1
(Tune: Jack and Jill)
There's a reason why we're here
And living in this planet
The reason is for us to know
The reason why we have life
La la la la la la la (4x)
The reason why we have life
SONG # 2
(Tune: Old McDonald)
Trials will be in our way
E-I-E-I-O
For the Lord God wants us to grow
E-I-E-I-O
So we must endure, so we must endure
Here's a test, there's a test
Everywhere a test-test
Trials will be in our way
E-I-E-I-O
I think I know what you're thinking right now. "What the hell is a test-test?!"
By the way, today's subject was taken from a line that Cherie Gil said in the post-presentation open forum of "Doubt". Dunno if these were the actual words but I guess it's close enough.
Anyway, that's all I can say. HAVE A NICE DAY!
