Jokes: I became a fool out of myself
Yesterday, my mother had ordered for a gas cylinder. In India, we use gas cylinders to provide gas for the cooking-range and when a small fire is added with the gas at the cooking range hole, it turns hot and the cooking vessel with the food is kept on the hole and is ready to cook. I was on the terrace of my house searching for my mother when the supplier of gas cylinder came. His appearance looked a little fishy to me. Many thefts have happened in the area I lived. We couldn’t believe anything. Maybe the shopkeepers that we know will be thieves. I believed only my close neighbours and relatives. He was scared to enter my house compound as he heard my dog barking. I came down and hid near the stairs. I thought that my mother wasn’t present inside my house. I thought that he might try to steal anything. I was ready to fight against him if he does anything suspicious. I saw the door of my house opened. I went in to see what he was doing inside. I checked the living room first, then the dining room and the kitchen. In the kitchen, my mother was asking him for the bill. He smiled at me. He was a nice young man. I thought, ‘I felt such a fool by being aware about the thefts in my society’.
