My Own Violent Poetry
'Tis midnight
your horrors take flight.
You get off your bed
and on the floor you lie
you know that tonight you die.
Your eyes are closed
for you already know
it is coming to get you.
Suddenly you open your eyes
they go wide with surprise,
though you already knew
what you would see.
The door is ajar
you see light from afar
you close your eyes
you think it's all lies,
but you know its as true
as the sky is blue.
The door starts to creak
you release a silent shriek.
Your eyes fly open
you are really hoping
that this is only a dream.
The clock then strikes one,
you let out a scream,
