There and Back Again...again
Well, I'm already back from fall break. It was so nice to be home for a few days! It felt very odd though, like something out of the Twilight Zone. It felt so normal to be home that I could hardly believe I had been gone for so long.
Saturday night I went with a group from my church to play laser tag. It's been a while since I played - it's so much fun! Then afterward we got pizza and watched a video of Taylor Mason. He's a hilarious comedian/ventriloquist. Sunday was the Mission Japan presentation at my church where the Japan team (myself included) showed pictures and talked about our trip. I was so glad that I could be home for that. I miss everyone I met in Japan so much. I really hope I have a chance to go again someday.
Thank you Night shade2, dragonnova, and GundamFan24/7 for the comments on Vincent! I'm planning on switching to a Vincent theme pretty soon. I thought it would be appropriate for Halloween ^_^
Goodbye for now!

Going Home Soon
Thanks so much to InweTheGreat, chocobogirl, FinalCross31, blackwings, and David Richardson for the comments on my Vincent fanart, and to those who voted as well. I really appreciate it! ^_^
The museum trip was really nice last weekend. They had a big exibit of Japanese artwork, complete with a samurai sword display. I chose a painting of the zodiac animals to write my paper on. Probably because it reminded me of Fruits Basket, haha.
It's been so cold here this week! And really windy too. It's a bit nicer today though, so hopefully it will improve a bit before winter comes to stay. I'm really excited for Wednesday because fall break will start and I'll get to go home for a few days! As much as I love it here, it will still be really nice to go home for a while. I can't believe I haven't been there in two months!
Guess I'd better do some homework now. Have an awesome week!

New Art *Gasp!*
It's homecoming weekend here at the University! Most of the events are for alumni, but there are some other things going on too. Yesterday the Engineer majors did their annual cardboard canoe race. Each team has to make a canoe entirely out of cardboard and packaging tape, and then they have to get across the lake (which is more like a really big pond) with three people in it. It was really fun to watch, especially for the canoes that sank XD
I also went to see a play that the Theatre department put on last night, Agatha Christie's "The Moustrap." It was excellent! I've always loved murder mysteries. There was plenty of comedy in it too, and the actors all did a great job. Now I'll get freaked out everytime someone starts whistling "Three Blind Mice," hehe.
I got to go to a mall with my friend and her family last weekend and bought DNAngel volume 11. As always, it was great. I just love that series! It also happened to be that friend's birthday yesterday, and I drew her a picture of Vincent. I just submitted it, so it should be up for viewing any time now. He was so much fun to draw ^^ If you get a chance to see it, let me know what you think!
I'd better go before this gets too long. And I have to get ready to go to an art museum for one of my classes. Have a great day!

Been a while...
Sorry I waited so long in between posts again. I really need to quit doing that ^^;
My tests all went really well last week. I haven't got any grades back yet, but I should find out how I did soon. My One Voice choir sang in chapel yesterday, and that went really well too. I thought I'd be really nervous, singing in front of 3,000 people and all, but because the choir is so big it didn't bother me at all. It was really fun!
I found a great website with some really funny fan comics, so I thought I'd share one with you.
Hehe, I love it XD
I'm almost done with one of my fanarts, so expect to see that next weekend. I've still got a ways to go on the request, so thanks sheaumiX19 for your patience. I did start coloring it, so hopefully it won't be too much longer. I've gotta head off to chapel now, and then Intro to Art class. Thanks for visiting!

New Theme
Thanks to InweTheGreat for the theme suggestions! I decided to try Shaman King...how's it look? I tried to set a background image, but either I or Photobucket was being stupid (probably me...) and it didn't work quite right *sigh* Oh well. I rather like how it turned out anyway.
A girl in my dorm unit had a birthday on Thursday and we threw her a surprise party. It was so much fun! There's a big rock in front of the student center that University students are allowed to paint whenever they want, so several of the girls from my unit painted it for her birthday, and we all waited for her there until she came out of work. She was so surprised ^^
Gotta love class cancellations. My Intro to Art class was cancelled yesterday, and my Composition class is cancelled on Monday because the professor can't be there. Also, all morning classes are cancelled on Wednesday for the Day of Prayer, and since all my classes are in the morning on Wednesdays, I get the day off! I can't slack too much this weekend, though. I've got three tests next week to get ready for. But no complaints from me - I'm loving the time off. Maybe I'll get something accomplished on the fanart pieces I'm working on.
Guess that's all for now. Have a great weekend!

Time for a Change?
Ohayo! How's everyone doing? I got to watch six more episodes of Saiyuki since my last update (5 of which were in a row). I. Love. It. The characters are all wonderful, and I love the way they interact with each other. So funny XD I've always been a big fan of Hakkai, and I am even more now that I've actually seen the anime. I can't wait to see more of it! Many thanks to my awesome friend L-chan for letting me watch it with her ^_^
It was quite rainy here yesterday, and as much as I love the rain, walking to class in it can be rather annoying. Other than that, things are still going really well. I'm taking sword fighting lessons from one of my friends. I am not in any way athletic, but I've been able to keep up with it, and it's really fun! I also joined one of the choirs here, called One Voice. Our instructor is so funny, and an incredible singer! Practice is a blast ^_^
I was noticing that I've had the same site theme for a while now, and although I rather like it, I was wondering if I should change it soon. What do you think? I'm open to specific suggestions as well.
I've gotta head off soon for chapel, then to my Intro to Art class. Thanks for visiting, and have a great day!

Anime Friends
Thanks so much for all the visits! You guys rock! ^__^
Everything's still going really well at CU. I've only been here for two weeks now, but I've already met so many people that like anime! I'm already pretty close friends with two of them. Last night I watched episode one of Saiyuki with one of these girls, and then the other came over and we all watched Advent Children (which we're all obsessed with). It was so much fun!
I was so happy to finally be able to see Saiyuki. I love the main characters and had known a lot about them, even though I hadn't seen the show. Anyway, I really like it so far ^^
Thanks for visiting! Have a great day!

Classes
Ohayo! Things are still going good at college. I've had all of my classes but one (which will be on Monday), and so far I've liked all of them. The professors are all really nice too. I've already got plenty of homework to deal with though ^^;
In my Drawing I class, we were given an assignment of drawing two different pictures upside-down. I did the first one, and it was not easy. The second will probably be even harder. Still, it's kind of a fun challenge to try.
Night shade 2 - I'm not really sure what career I want to have yet. My major is graphic design, so something with computer graphics and artwork.
I started playing Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories a few days ago. Yes, after I finished KH2. So much for going in order, hehe ^^; So far I like it, but the card system takes some getting used to. Hm, I don't think I ever mentioned finishing KH2. Anyway, the ending was great ^^
Guess I'd better get going. Thanks for stopping by!

I'm Alive!
I have survived the first few days of college! Classes don't start until Wednesday, but it's already been really busy. There are sessions, meetings, orientations, and other things to that effect going on. The weather's been nice though, and the campus is beautiful. My roommate and I are getting along really well - she's so nice! So things have been busy, but going well so far.
There was a "Parent's Weekend" thing going on, so my parents stayed out here until yesterday afternoon. It was really hard to see them go. I'm hoping I'll be able to get home in October, but if not it won't be until Thanksgiving. I really hope I don't get too homesick >.< There's a scanner in my dorm room, but it's not working as of yet, so I'm not sure how submitting artwork's going to go. Hopefully I'll figure something out.
Thanks to everyone who wished me good luck! ^_^ I was so relieved that I was able to get on here. I got nervous last night because I couldn't get into my backroom, but it's working now. Guess that's it for the moment. Thanks for visiting!

Last Day
I can't believe it, but this is my last day at home for a while. I'm leaving tomorrow morning to go to college. I'm really excited, but extremely nervous at the same time. I've been writing to my roommate and she's super nice, so I'm not very worried about that anymore. It's just going to be so different! I know I'm gonna be really homesick. My college is about 6 hours away, so I can't come home very often. I've been there twice and absolutely loved it both times, so hopefully I'll adjust quickly.
Of course this means I probably won't be on here for a while as I'm getting everything set up. There's even a chance that I won't be able to get on here at all, but I really hope not. That would be terrible! But if I disappear for a few months, that's why ^^; I expect I'll be back much sooner, probably in less than a week, but I apologize for not being able to visit anyone for a little while. I got a fanart request from sheaumiX19, and there's also a Fire Emblem picture I've been wanting to draw, so whenever I find some free time and a scanner, those will be my next projects.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope I'll be back to see ya soon! ^_^
