   Advent Children / Camp Raphayada
Wow, thanks so much for all the votes and comments on my latest fanart! I really appreciate it ^_^ And Shinkiro, I'd be more than happy to draw a picture of Axel for ya. It'll probably be a while before I have time to, but I will do it!

I finally got to see Advent Children! As expected, the animation was just fantastic. I actually haven't played FF VII (yes, feel free to throw large objects at me for that one), but I knew enough about it and the characters to still get a lot out of the movie. I just love all of the characters, especially Sephiroth and Vincent ^.^ I thought Reno and Rude were hilarious. I'll have to watch it again soon so I can see the Japanese version.

And now, speaking of Japan, I'd like to tell you a little about the Missions trip! I don't know many details about it myself yet, so this will be pretty general. We'll be flying into Nagoya, Japan, on July 25, and then heading up to an area around Seki where Camp Raphayada is located. It is a Christian camp for Japanese children that is run by the Melton's, a missionary family that is supported by our church. Our group will help finish construction and preparation of the camp for the first five days, and then work with the staff the next week when the camp is in session. We will also be attending and helping with some church services and youth groups while we are there. There's another meeting about the trip tomorrow, so hopefully I'll learn some more of the details then. I still can't believe I'm really going! I can't wait ^__^

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

   Good News!
I just submitted my Leon fanart this morning, so take a look at it if you get a chance. I really like how this one turned out ^^ Any and all comments are appreciated! I also changed my site layout to a “Namine’s Room” theme, but for some reason I can’t get my avatar to change ¬_¬ Sorry that it really doesn’t match right now. I’ll change it as soon as it starts working.

I watched “The Place Promised in our Early Days” and really enjoyed it. It’s hard to explain exactly what it’s about, but it’s a very touching story. The animation is beautiful as well. I would recommend it if you ever get a chance to see it.

Now for the really good news! I’M GOING TO JAPAN THIS SUMMER!! Sorry, I’m just a bit excited ^^; The big meeting to decide whether or not our church would be able to take the Missions trip was last night, and, after much deliberation, it went through! My dad was there and he said it was one of the toughest meetings he’s ever been to, but everyone really pushed to find a way to make it all work. As of right now, I’ll be going with five other people (my dad is one of them) at the end of July. The downside is I’ll be the only girl going, but I think I’ll survive ^^; Thanks so much to those who were praying about this, it means a lot to me ^_^ I’ll have to give you the details on the trip sometime, maybe in my next post. Don’t want this one to get too long.

Have a great weekend! ^_^

   Happy (late) Easter!
Ohayo! How was everyone's Easter? Mine was really nice. After church, I went to my grandparent's house for lunch and stayed there pretty much the whole day with my relatives. I got The Chronicles of Narnia DVD from my parents, along with a bunch of Easter candy, which I preceded to eat far too much of ^^; All in all, a very nice day.

I saw Pom Poko for the first time last night, but I wasn't too thrilled with it. It was okay, just not my kind of movie I guess. On the other hand, I saw My Neighbor Totoro last week and loved it. It was so cute ^.^ I'm also borrowing a movie called A Place Promised in our Early Days. I've never heard of it before, but it looks like it'll be good. Anyone else ever seen it?

In other news, I bought the last volume of Fushigi Yuugi when I was in Erie on Friday. It was an excellent end to an excellent series ^_^ Hard to believe I started reading it four years ago. They really need to start releasing manga faster ^^;

I'm thinking of changing my site theme sometime this week, though I'm not sure what it'll be yet. Probably something related to Kingdom Hearts. I'm also working on a fanart of Leon, so keep an eye out for that.

Thanks for visiting!

   Spring Break!
As of today, I'm on spring break through all of next week! These last couple weeks of school have been really stressful, so it feels great to have some time off. My apologies for not updating last weekend. I had a cold and wasn't really feeling up to it. I'm still a little sick, but feeling much better.

I had my last high school chorus concert on Tuesday night. I couldn't sing very well because of my cold, but it was still pretty fun. We sang Elton John's "Club at the End of the Street" as a sort of senior farewell song. I played my guitar for it along with two other guys, while another student played the piano and one played the saxophone. My chorus teacher introduced all of the seniors too and said what their college plans were. It was really nice ^_^

As predicted, I started playing Kingdom Hearts 2, and I love it! It's so much fun! I'm not all that far yet, just to the Beast's Castle, but I should have lots of time to play it this week. If you're thinking about getting this game, go for it. You won't be disappointed!

I'd better get going 'cause I'm leaving with my parents for Erie soon to go shopping. Have a great weekend!

Thanks so much for all the visits! I just had to use a Kingdom Hearts 2 picture now that it's been released ^_^ I bought it today, but I'm not sure when I'm going to start playing it. I'd really like to finish Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance first, but I've got a ways to go and I'm not sure how long I can make myself wait ^^; I've heard KH2 is excellent. I'm dying to play it! Just watch, I'll probably start it tonight lol.

Remember the Missions trip to Japan I mentioned a few weeks ago? Well, there's good news and bad news about that. The good news is that I was accepted and picked to be a member of the Mission Japan team! The bad news is that my church has to raise a certain amount of money before we can go and we are miles away from that right now. So I could be going to Japan this summer, but at the moment it isn't looking very likely. If you could pray for our church, it would be greatly appreciated ^_^

Have a great weekend!

   Musicals
I went to see my school's musical, the Adventures of Tom Sawyer, last night. It was great, everyone did such a good job. I love watching my classmates on stage. I'm rather sad that it will be the last one I get to see at my school before heading off to college. I went to see the musical at my cousin's school last weekend too. They did the Sound of Music. His school is huge, so there's a lot of talent there. It was very good.

This week had been an interesting one for me. My parents went on a business trip to France, so I've had the house to myself all week. It's actually been pretty fun. My parents called here on Friday and it sounds like they've had a great time. They got to go in the Eiffel Tower and see the Mona Lisa at the Louvre. They also said while they were waiting at a subway station, there was a tv on that was playing GTO in French. That's awesome XD Kinda funny though, my parents have seen an anime that I haven't now ^^; They'll be home tomorrow. I can't wait to see all the pictures they've taken.

I'd better be off to work on homework. I've got about a million projects right now and they're driving me crazy >.< Hope you have a great day!

   Whisper of the Heart
I bought Whisper of the Heart last weekend and finally got a chance to watch it last night. It was such an adorable movie ^_^ I found I could relate to it a lot too as it deals with people trying to figure out what direction they should take with their lives and what career is best for them. It was really cute and inspirational, I would recommend it.

I just saw the last episode of Fullmetal Alchemist, and I'll probably be spaced out all day from thinking about it lol. I thought it was an excellent ending. It's got me wanting to see the movie really bad.

   New Look
Ohayo! I've been so obsessed with Howl's Moving Castle lately that I decided to make myself a new avatar (gasp!) and banner for my site. Yes, it's the first time I've changed my avatar since I made my site here. Guess I was rather attached to the old one ^^;

I saw the Last Samurai for the first time last night. It was excellent! I love watching movies that deal with Japan, and I found myself thinking about Rurouni Kenshin the whole time. This is a huge "maybe", but I might be going to Japan this summer. My church is taking 7 people to Japan for a missions trip to work at a camp run by a family of missionaries. I'm applying to go, but that doesn't mean I'll be accepted. I hope I am though, it would be an amazing experience.

Have a great weekend!

   Howl's Moving Castle
Wow, thanks so much for the all the feedback on my last fanart! It's been a while such I've had such a great response ^_^ I really appreciate it!

The youth rally went great last weekend. It was so much fun ^^ I also went to see the movie Eight Below. It was really good, I would recommend it. There are some really sad parts though. I'll admit it, I cried more than once ^^;

Speaking of movies, I saw Howl's Moving Castle for the first time last night. It was so good! I thinks it's one of my favorite movies. It has the lovable characters and imaginative plot that you can only get from a Miyazaki film. It was really funny too. I love the part when Howl is throwing his little "tantrum" about his hair changing color XD Calcifer was great too. I just borrowed the movie from the library, but I'm definitely going to buy it. It's excellent!

   Another One
My break from school has been going well. It's given me some drawing time, so I finally got to work on the request I got for the Yu-Gi-Oh GX fanart. I like how it turned out, it was a lot of fun to draw. I just submitted it here so take a look if you have time. Also, thanks so much for the comments and votes on my last picture. I really appreciate it!

I've also been spending a lot of time playing Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance this week. I just love this game ^_^ I'm on the 4th section of chapter 17 right now. I think there are 29 chapters in all. Here's a picture of one of my favorite characters, Reyson.

Isn't he great? ^__^

My church is having our big annual youth rally tomorrow night. I'm so excited! I asked to help out with it this year so I get to be a photographer. Also, the praise band I'm in is playing like we did last year. I'm not nervous yet, but I probably will be by tomorrow ^^;

Thanks for visiting! Have a great weekend!
