YYH fanfic, Part 3: Leilani's Secret
well, I was goin' to wait until next week to post this, but I'll do it now ^_^ (Oh, and I need help, if anyone remembers any comments made by Kurama or even anyone else in the group during the last two fights, its been a while since i saw them so I can't remember my reactions *from the edited version* Thanx or if anyone knows how to post pics saved in microsoft word)
Yuske glared at Koto as he remarked at the unfairness and vowed that his team would not loose again. He supported the near dead Kurama off the stage and let him down in Leilani’s arms. She laid him out and went through a transformation of her own. Her purple hair grew into long flowing light pink locks. Silver sparkled through the eyes that were once blue. Her lynx-like ears and tail gracefully emerged. She gazed down at the exhausted Kurama while he could scarce believe his eyes.
*my fanart of Leilani&Angel depicts these two forms, i'm working on another for this scence specifically*
“What are you?” he questioned hoarsely.
“An angel,” Leilani replied.
“That’s ironic,” Kurama smirked, “an angel helping a demon.”
“Shhh. Rest now while I heal you,” she uttered as her hand hovered over his body in search of the gashes that covered him. She sprinkled blue crushed petals over the cuts and sealed it with her finger sealing his skin back together.
In the meantime, Bui proceeded onto the stage and Hiei seized the opportunity while Koenma was teasing Kuwabara about dying in the match. Juri announced the giant against the shrimp. Kurama wanted to know what was going on. He attempted to sit up but Leilani gently pressed him back down.
“Hold on, I’m almost done,” she was concentrating her energies on his last scratch on his shoulder, “there you go.” Upon finishing, her hand moved over his face, hovering over his lips. Kurama quickly grasped her hand and while sitting up inspected it then looked over the rest of her body.
“You’ve got blood all over you,” he observed.
“That can be easily fixed,” she stated, drawing a purple rose from behind her head and holding it in front of him to examine.
“I’ve never seen roses produced in the colors you have before.”
“Special trait.” Leilani pressed the roses stem into Kurama’s hand, causing a thorn to pierce his index finger. She then guided the finger over his blood stains on her outfit and arm, absorbing the blood and leaving Leilani spotless.
A blow from the stage stole Kurama’s attention. He looked up and backed towards his team members while taking in Bui’s and Hiei’s fight. Leilani also chose to stand by Team Urameshi. They had barely started throwing punches at each other. It wasn’t long before Bui shed his armor and Hiei eventually released his flaming dragon. Soon, after the destruction of the ring, the match went to Hiei.
Returning to his group Hiei told them that they better win and fainted.
“Oh look, he’s hibernating,” oozed Leilani, “Quick, who has a marker?”
“There are other matters at hand right now,” warned Bob
“Oh, right.” Leilani began to walk away.
“Hey,” Kuwabara shouted at her, “Where do you think you’re goin’?”
“To rejuvenate Bui, don’t think that I came just to help your team. I’m here to be fair, not to pick sides.”

Pharaoh's Future; Chapter 1: Reunion
Well, I decided to put off the next part of my YYH fanfic. I hope all of you don't mind. This is one goes with Yu-Gi-Oh! and I've done extensive research on the whole series so by the time I've completed it and posted everything, all mysteries will be solved and it can logically fit into the anime series. Please don't read if you are waiting for the rest of the series to come out in Eng first, it will give some of the mysteries of the series away. This is a 2-part Fanfic 'Pharaoh's Past' & 'Pharaoh's Future' I thought chp.1 of Future would be a nice intro for my post here.
**Note: Background knowledge of the Yu-Gi-Oh! series is needed for everything to make sense. Don’t read if you do not know the whole series unless you don’t mind spoilers. I got my information from the summaries on www.janime.net**
Yami Yugi passed through the portal where his friends and family from his Egyptian past were waiting for him. Even Seto, Isis, and Shimon were among his former priest even though their souls were previously in Kaiba, Ishizu, and Yugi’s grandpa. Mahado and Mana were also there in person, despite their previous uniting with their ka. He noticed that he had regained the form from 5,000 years ago. His father, the former Pharaoh Akunumkanon, was the first to embrace him.
“Welcome back, my son,” Akunumkanon stated lovingly.
Atemu hugged all his friends and then his father informed him that there was someone who wanted to see him. He led Atemu to a room while the young Pharaoh wondered what this was about. Akunumkanon had Atemu wait out side as he stood in the doorway and conversed with the person inside.
“The ceremonial battle was today,” he started off.
“Oh, that was today, I missed it?” sincerely replied a female’s voice, “I must have been caught up in my work again, how did it turn out? Did he win?”
“Well, I think it went better this time…” He trailed off while bringing Atemu into the room where he saw a young red head at a desk full of piles of papers surrounding a computer. She looked up from her work and upon seeing him, her heart visibly skipped a beat as her face lit up and then changed to a look of distress.
“Did Shadi win then?” she asked Akunumkanon while glancing between her two visitors as she rose from her chair.
“Well no, he didn’t even pose a threat, little Yugi won against Atemu in the final battle,” Akunumkanon explained.
The young woman walked around her desk and speed up her walk towards Atemu, “Of course, I wasn’t there to improve his deck, so must of used his regular strategies which Yugi prepared for!” Upon reaching him, she tightly embraced him, adding to his confusion. She added, “So since his former powers weren’t returned to him, Shadi couldn’t challenge the Pharaoh. This worked out so much better than I could have planned it!” She loosened her grip and looked at him and moved her face closer to his for a kiss.
Atemu drew back in bewilderment, “Uh, do I know you?”
The girl pulled back and lowered her hands from his shoulders to his elbows. Her face expressed horror and sadness.
“What do you mean? Of course you know her!” gasped Akunumkanon, “Why, she’s your fiancée!” *The word ‘fiancée’ is replaced with ‘wife’ as far as the manga is concerned, but this version is edited for the anime. The reason is that Pharaoh is younger in the anime series because due to clues that he was born before the creation of the millennium items in the manga and after their creation in the anime.*
“My what?!” Atemu exclaimed, “I have a fiancée?”
“Well, yes,” said the girl shyly lowering her hands enough this time to grab his and pressed them eagerly, “Don’t you remember me?”
“I haven’t the faintest.”
“Hasn’t your memory returned?” She clenched his hands as if trying to squeeze the memory out of him.
“Yes, it has,” he replied cautiously
“And you still don’t remember me?” she pleaded.
Atemu searched her face for some clue, some hint to who she could be. There was no mention of any such close relationship when he was retrieving his memory. Her pale white skin, her big green eyes, her smooth red hair. She was so different from any of the Egyptians from his past that he thought she would stick out enough for him to remember her. He bit his lip and slightly shook his head. Tears formed in her eyes as she let go of his hands.
“That’s enough Atemu,” Akunumkanon reproached, “You can stop joking now.”
“But father, I really don’t recognize her at all.”
“I’ve waited so long,” the girl muttered to herself.
“I’m sorry,” replied Atemu.
The girl started crying and started to leave. Akunumkanon held her by her shoulders and looked sadly into her face. He drew her into a hug and caressed her hair. She let him for a while then pushed away and ran through the door. Akunumkanon turned sorrowfully and looked at his son who looked down disappointedly.
“I tried,” Atemu sighed.
“I know,” His father comforted his father, “Hopefully it will come back later.”
“I thought my memory was completely restored.”
“Maybe you should go see her and get to know her again.”
“I guess.”
“But first there’s some business to attend to for your arrival, just the standard stuff that everyone goes through,” he put his arm around his son’s shoulders and led him out.

My YYH fanfic Part 2: Let the Fighting Begin!
I was going to wait for tomorrow to add this, but oh well, I'm gonna add it now, enjoy! ^^
*ps, 'dragonballs' refers to all three series (the 's' at the end makes it plural) I'm not mispelling DBZ or anything*
“WHAT!?” Leilani shrieked, “That’s not right! A feat like that would cause a contestant to disqualify.”
“Leilani…” Bob tried to calm her down.
“Well it does in Dragon Balls!”
“This isn’t Dragon Balls!”
“It’s anime, they’re all the same.”
“No there not!”
“Sure, they all have wonderful deep, complex plotlines that they stretch out into hundreds of episodes with all the pointless fight scenes!”
“Hey! What’s this little do-hickie?” intercepted Kuwabara pointing to Bob.
“My portable assistant secretary” stated Leilani.
“If you don’t mind, some of us are trying to watch the fight,” Hiei expressed, extremely annoyed.
Everyone’s attention returned to on stage where Karasu seemed to have the upper hand in the battle. Leilani was sickened by how graphic the fighters wounds were, she had never been in a cartoon where violence was accented so much. Kuwabara threatened Suzuka if the potion he gave Kurama didn’t work. Suddenly Kurama changed into Yoko Kurama and Koto remarked about his foxy form.
“Oh look, he has a fox tail. Don’t tell me that he turns into a gigantic fox bent on destroying the world when he sees a full moon” Leilani expressed sarcastically.
“For crying out loud,” contended Bob, “This is not Dragonballs!”
“Yeah it is, he just changed into a new form that holds more energy.”
“He doesn’t turn into a giant world destroying fox like a saiyan!”
“Fine, but you know I’m allergic to fox tails. So I can’t continue this mission.”
“Allergic? Since when?”
“Everyone in my family is allergic to something and my allergy is fox tails.”
“I thought you were allergic to onions.”
“Oh, yeah,” she chuckled, “It’s my sister who has the fox tail allergy…drat!”
“Nice try to escape the gore,” bemused Bob.
“Anyway,” Leilani regained focus, “he’s actually cuter like that…although I’m more of a feline person. I’m not sure I like his attitude though.”
“Well, you know what you have to do.”
Yoko Kurama fought on while everyone watched closely. Leilani, even closer still.
Kurama knocked Karasu’s mask off. In response, Karasu powered up and his black hair turned golden blond.
“Look, see,” Leilani pointed, “he just turned super saiyan! Just like DBZ!”
“For the last time, this is not DBZ!” Bob screamed.
“You better keep the DBZ stuff down, people are starting to stare.”
There was moment where everyone thought that Karasu had been devoured by Yoko’s plant, but he survived and eventually Kurama appeared once again in his human form. Everyone was attentive while it looked like Karasu would win. All of a sudden, Kurama called an attack and the seeds he planted in Karasu sprouted. Kurama had annihilated him. Kuwabara rejoiced while Hiei noticed that Team Tuguro didn’t look as disappointed as they should. Yuske went to help Kurama and Leilani prepared to make her move. Jury announced the winner of the match to be Karasu, which shocked everyone. Yuske yelled at Jury, but Kurama just sat in defeat.
“Duh he lost,” Leilani stated towards Team Urameshi’s flabbergasted response, “I told you that you get disqualified for killing your opponent.”
Koto received a tape and played it showing how Karasu remained alive until after the 10 second count. Just then Leilani popped on stage and requested the tape to be played again. This time she stopped it at 6 seconds.
“Now in my experience, when the knocked down contestant starts moving, the judge stops counting. Note that here at 6 seconds Kurama is on his hands and knees, he is obviously not knocked out, therefore the count should have discontinued. Furthermore, the purpose of a count is to keep the action going. Since at 6 seconds Kurama is clearly preparing an attack, any further counting is annulled. Kurama is the victor of this round, I rest my case.”
“That doesn’t make sense…I made my final call, and I’ll stand by it!” exclaimed Jury.
“Fine…but if Team Urameshi scores 2 more wins, they better be the winners or I’ll report your biasness to my superiors,” vindicated Leilani coolly as she started to strut offstage, “plus you will be held for any deaths that occur from this tournament after two points for Urameshi.”
“Well there you have it. For the first time ever we have a winner who is dead and a loser…that is not!” announced Koto while Leilani whispered to Yuske, “Leave Kurama with me when you get him off the stage…I’ll tend to his wounds.”

Oh the irony!
We really feel the love in our apartment...in fact we rarely have fights. It's kind of backwards really. We fight over who GETS to do the dishes (ie, 'but its my turn' 'but I didn't do them last night' etc.) even tho we don't want to do them. Then my one roommate has nightmares about eating sugar (she's hypoglycimic and can't have any)
BTW I just reached 100 visits to my site! Thank you to all who's made that possible for me ^___^

Thought of the Day
My roommate just brought up a good point, she asked about all the online quizes that I've been taking.
You would think after all our test and stuff at school, why would you take on-line quizes?
It sounds ironic, but I tried to explain how the ones I take here are different. What do you think?
