Naruto: The Epic Adventure! Christmas Edition Part One
CHAPTER 15: NARUTO AND THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT!


It was a cloudy day. Naruto and Hinata have been training with each other for the past week.

Hinata and Naruto held up hand signs.

"Shadow-Clone Jutsu!" They both said. And 5 of each popped up.

"Yay! Naruto-kun! I did it! I master the Shadow-Clone Jutsu!" All the Hinatas said as they hugged the Narutos.

"I'm proud of you Hinata! It took me 3 years to master that jutsu!" Naruto exclaimed as the clones poofed away. They kissed each other.

"Ahem! I hope I'm not interrupting anything." A familiar voice spoke out.

"Yes you kinda are!" Naruto said annoyed as he turned around to find Sasuke in the tree branch.

"Anyway I was sent by Tsunade to get you two." Sasuke explained. "We have a mission to do."

"Awesome! We have a mission together Hinata!" Naruto yelled.

"Lets go see what it is Naruto." Hinata said as the three dashed away to the Hokage office.

As always Naruto doesn't knock he just enters. "Hey Granny Tsunade I heard you have a mission for us!"

"Don't you ever knock!" Tsunade said angrily.

"Geez sorry Grandma." Naruto apologized.

"Anyway I do have a special mission for you along with Choji, Sakura, Shikamaru, Sasuke and Hinata." Tsunade said.

"What is it! Is it fighting more bad guys?" Naruto asked as he punches the air.

"No.......something more subtle." Tsunade said.

"Huh? Then what is it Granny?" Naruto asked with a look of confusion on his face.

"You are to go to the Leaf Village mall and dressed up for all the little kiddies and make them happy for Christmas." Tsunade said with a smile.

"What! What kind a mission is that!" Naruto was shocked.

"Aww....come on Naruto! It would be cute to see you and Sasuke in elf outfits." Sakura said with a smile on her face.

"You can't be serious Grandma!" Naruto said in complete disapproval of Christmas dress-up.

"Yes! In fact i am! You will do it or else!" Tsunade yelled.

"Or else what!" Naruto yelled back.

"Or else I will hurt you beyond belief!" Tsunade said with her fist in Naruto's face.

Naruto backed away. He knew that Tsunade meant business. "Ok fine! I'll do it."

"Good! Take the others with you and get ready in the next two hours. you will be doing this all day." Tsunade ordered.

"All day!" Naruto thought. This was going to be a long day.

Naruto, Sasuke, Shikamaru, Choji, Sakura and Hinata dashed to the Leaf Village Mall. They walked into the locker room in the back of the Mall.

"What a drag! I'm an elf." Shikamaru complained.

"You said it Shikamaru! I don't even like Christmas all that much." Naruto agreed.

"What! You don't like Christmas?" Sakura said.

"That's what I said." Naruto replied.

"How could you not like Christmas! It's the greatest time of the year! When Santa comes when you are sleeping and delievers presents to all the good little boys and girls." Sakura explained.

"Yeah yeah yeah. I know that story already! But I haven't recieved one christmas present my whole life! Where's the fat man when I need him?" Naruto said putting on his elf pants.

"What did you say Naruto!" Choji said annoyed that he said the word fat.

"Uhhh.....nothing Choji!" Naruto said to try to get Choji to calm down.

"That's what I thought you said." Choji continued putting on his Santa suit.

"Awww.......Naruto-kun we could spend Christmas Eve together under the mistletoe." Hinata said hugging Naruto's arm.

"Honestly I don't see what you guys see in Christmas so much." Naruto said.

"It's a holiday where we all celebrate and give each other gifts on Christmas Day and sing Christmas carols at the fireplace and wish everyone a Merry Christmas!" Sakura said.

"Whatever. Let's get this over with already." Naruto said putting on his green coat and green christmas hat. They all walked out to greet the little boys and girls.

The girls wore white shirts and green christmas jackets and christmas hats with kinda short skirts and black stiletto heels. The guys excluding Choji wore black shirts and green christmas jackets with red fur and fuzzy green shoes with bells at the ends with a green hat and tight green pants. They walked and greeted the little boys and girls screaming and jumping up and down.

"Look at them all!" Naruto thought as he looked at the huge sea of kids. Naruto and the others walked to the throne were Choji was to sit and waved at all the little children.

"Are you all ready for Santa!" Sakura yelled to the kids.

"Yeah!!!!!!!" The kids yelled so excited to see Santa in the flesh.

"Ok well here he is! Santa Claus!" Hinata yelled.

Choji stepped out of the door waving at all the little boys and girls. Choji totally looked like the real thing. With the red christmas hat and the red jacket and the red pants with the boots. He wore a scruffy white beard to cover his face and black mittens as well. "Ho Ho Ho!" Choji sat down in the throne as the kids formed a straight line towards him. A little girl with a red bow in her head sat on Choji's lap.

"What's your name little girl?" Choji said in a deep voice.

"Rena!" Said the little girl.

"Ho ho ho! what do you want for christmas Rena?" Choji asked.

"I want a pony Santa!" Rena asked with a smile on her face.

Naruto got annoyed. "This is stupid! She has to know she won't be getting a pony!" Naruto thought.

More and more kids came through and sat on Choji's lap and wishing for stupid things. Naruto and the others finally reached their breaktime before the afternoon shift. Naruto ate beef ramen as always. Hinata ate chicken noodle soup. Sasuke had an apple. Sakura had an orange. It was her favoriter fruit. Shikamaru slept during the break. And Choji ate barbecue but was careful not to get it on his suit.

Naruto finished his bowl at the cafeteria table in the back. "Man I can't believe those kids actually believe in Santa like that. This is by far the most easiest mission I have ever done."

"You don't believe in Santa Claus Naruto?" Hinata asked eating her soup.

"Of course I don't! What has he ever done for me!" Naruto complained.

"Awww......come on Naruto!" Sakura said. "Get into the christmas spirit! You better watch out! You better not cry! You better not pout I'm telling you why! Santa Claus is coming to town!" Sakura sang.

"He sees you when you're sleeping. He knows when you're awake. He knows if you're been bad or good, So be good for goodness sakes!" Hinata sang along.

"Come on Sasuke-kun! Sing with us!" Sakura pleaded.

"Fine." Sasuke said.

"Oh! Jingle Bells! Jingle Bells! Jingle all the way!" They all sang. "O what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh!"

Naruto didn't sing it just made him more annoyed than ever. He just got up and left to the alleyway in the back of the mall. Naruto sat on the dumpster. "It's a stupid holiday!" Naruto sulked. Naruto then heard a crying from down the alleyway. It was a little boy crying besides the dumpster. "Hey what's wrong with you?"

The little boy quickly stopped crying and wiped his face. "Nothing the matter with me. What's it to you."

Naruto made a mad face. "Hey kid! I was trying to nice here!"

"Whatever. I don't need your pity."

"What are you doing out here anyway?" Naruto asked.

"None of your business." The kid replied.

That only made Naruto more mad. He grabbed the little kid by the shirt. "What's your problem!"

The kid got mad as well. "It's this whole stupid holiday! I hate it! I hate it!"

Naruto put the kid down and sat down beside him. "Why do you hate it so much?"

"Cause......cause......." The boy began to cry again. "My parents died on christmas eve two years ago and i asked Santa to bring them back and he didn't....."

Naruto really felt bad. "Poor kid." He thought. He looked at the boy and saw himself as a boy crying all alone on christmas eve. He would look in windows and see families being with each other laughing by the fireplace and loving each other. Naruto bowed his head. He didn't have a family to give him presents or love him on christmas. Naruto put his hand on the kid's head and smiled. "Don't worry kid. I may not be able to bring back your parents back, but i can bring you to see Santa."

The kid's face lit up. "Really! The real Santa!"

Naruto chuckled. "Of course! I'm his right hand man!" Naruto sat up and put the kid on his shoulders as he walked to the front of the mall and walked inside. They walked to the throne where Sakura and the others just finished the day's work.

"Where have you been! You missed the whole..." Sakura stopped her fussing when she saw the little boy on his shoulders. "Huh? who's that?"

Naruto put the little boy down and patted his head. "Do you think Santa has enough time to talk to one more kid before he heads back to the North Pole?" Naruto smiled.

Everyone was shocked. Was Naruto in the christmas spirit?

"Uhhh.......sure." Sakura said. She took the boy's hand and led him to Santa.

The little boy jumped with joy as he jumped on Choji's lap."It's you! It's really you! Santa!

Santa! Santa!" The little boy hugged Choji.

"Ho Ho Ho! Why yes it is I Santa Claus! And what's your name little boy?" Choji asked.

"Mushi! My name is Mushi Ukai!" The boy said with a smile on his face.

"And what do you want for christmas Mushi?"

"I want to be a ninja just like my parents were!" The boy said.

"A ninja?" Choji said with a confused look. "I don't know if......."

"Wait Santa! If the kid wants to be a ninja we should let him but we should visit a very important friend of ours first. Naruto interrupted.

Choji and the others looked at Naruto. What's gotten into him?

Naruto grabbed the kid's hand and put him on his shoulders and dashed away. Hinata and the others followed him to the academy building. Naruto knocked on the door.

"Hey Iruka-sensei!" Naruto yelled.

Iruka came and opened the door. He was about to leave for the day. "Naruto? Why are you here?"

Naruto put the kid down. "I have a huge favor to ask you!"

"What is it Naruto?" Iruka was deeply confused.

"Can little Mushi join the academy? It would mean alot to him. Please?" Naruto said as the others came up behind him.

"Well......normally I don't allow students this far into the school year but if he wants to so bad. I guess so." Iruka patting the boy's head.

"Yes! Thanks Iruka-sensei! Did you hear that Mushi! If you work hard and do your best you will be a ninja in no time!" Naruto smiled.

"Really? Thank you Naruto!" Mushi hugged Naruto. "This is the greatest present anyone has ever given me!"

"Aww....gee kid. Stop it you're getting me all sensitive." A tear drops from Naruto's face.

"Don't forget your first day at the academy begins tomorrow. Don't be late." Iruka told Mushi.

"Yes sir!" Mushi saluted Iruka. "I gotta go home now so i can get ready!" Mushi ran off with a smile on his face.

Hinata hugged Naruto's arm. "That was a nice thing you did for that boy Naruto-kun."

"Well it is Christmas time." Naruto chuckled.

"What made you change your mind about Christmas?" Sakura asked.

"I realized that Christmas is about making people happy and being with the people you love not getting presents. I guess I forgot that a long time ago." Naruto explained.

"Wow. That was deep Naruto. Who would have known you would come up with that all by yourself." Shikamaru said.

"Ahh......shut up." Naruto said back.

"Anyway let's go back and change clothes we gotta report back to Lady Tsunade." Sakura said.

The gang walked down the street and then something strange happened. It started snowing.

"Is it snowing?" Naruto said as a snowflake hit his nose. Suddenly it started to snow a little harder. Naruto looked at all the christmas lights all over the Leaf Village. Hinata hugged his arm even more.

"Merry Christmas Naruto-kun." She said as she kissed his cheek.

"Merry Christmas to you too Hinata." He kissed her back.

The gang all walked down the street as the snow fell on them and Christmas cheer was in the air. "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year." Naruto thought.
