Review of anime Ah! My Goddess Season 1
Review Time. Today lets look at the anime Ah! My Goddess Season 1

Genre: Comedy/romance/action

Value: 4/5

Rating: 13+

STORY.

Keiichi is a young man who tends to have a lot of bad luck. Dispite this he is always cheerful and willing to help others. Because of this unbalance he is granted a wish by the Goddess help line who send a goddess called Belldandy to fulfil this wish. Not really sure what to think of this Keiichi wishes for Belldandy to remain by his side forever. Keichi is shocked however when his wish is granted and he suddenly finds himself living with Belldandy. As time goes on both Keichi and Belldandy start to feel for each other. Dispite his feelings Keiichi just can't tell Belldandy how he feels about her and everytime he gets close to her something interupts them. Add to this mix Belldandy's older sister, Urd, who's meddling tries to get Keiichi to declare his love to Belldandy. Also add Belldandy's younger sister, Skuld, who wants Keiichi out of her sisters live so that she comes home to heaven. And finally a demon who is out for revenge and you have a recipy to really complicate Keiichi's live.

CHARACTERS.

Keiichi. A young man who gets a wish from the Goddess help line. Because of his short height and not to great looks he has trouble getting women to notice him. He is very kind and gentle and very shy where women are concerned. He is a very good mechanic who loves tinkering and fixing machines.

Belldandy. She is a Goddess who is send to grant Keiichi's wish. She is very kind and very gentle. She may be the sweetest person on the planet and she cares deeply for Keiichi.

Urd. She is Belldandy's older sister. She loves to meddle in Keiichi's affairs and will use any means to get them together. She loves her sisters deeply but her meddling often gets her into trouble. She has a weakness that whenever she hears enka music she falls asleep.

Skuld. She is Belldandy's younger sister. She loves Belldandy very much and would nothing more than to have her back in Heaven. She travels to Earth with the intention of breaking them up. She is a genius mechanic who can build pretty much anything she wants.

Marrler. She is a demon who was once imprisond by Belldandy and Urd for beaking the rules. She is accidentily released and is out for revenge.

Megumi. She is Keiichi's younger sister. She decided to go to the same university as Keiichi. Like Keiichi she is very good with machines and she often visits Keiichi and Belldandy.

Den/Dai. They are Keiichi's seniors in the auto club.

Mishima. She is the queen of the campus. Beautiful, proud, cruel, rich and cold she leaves a trail of broken hearts. When Belldandy appears she loses her place to her and vows to take Belldandy down.

Toshiyuki. If Mishima is the queen than he is the king. He appears kind and gentle but he is anything but. He targets Belldandy but as she only has eyes for Keiichi he gets nowhere with her.

ART & MUSIC.

Both the art (5/5) and music (5/5) are excellent.

VOICE ACTING

The Japanese acting was great as usual (5/5). I didn't see the English dub so i have no idea how good or bad it was. If i saw it correctly than the voice actress who did Belldandy in the OVA all those years ago is once again playing her in this series. In fact all the acting was very similar to that of the OVA.

Personal note. For those who liked the OVA series this is a must have. Basically this is in large part a retelling of the OVA story but with some differences. Some are small while others are big. The storyline is in large part the same especially the first couple of episodes but after a while things do go in a different direction. In the OVA series there was a bug problem that caused all the problems. Here this is much less the case and the main focus is on the relationship between Keiichi and Belldandy. As the series spans 26 episodes they were able to do a lot more with the romance between Keiichi and Belldandy. Also they were able to put in some more characters like Mishima and Marrler and the excisting characters get to be worked out more. All in all a great series and right now they are working on a second season.

If you have any questions please let me know. Also tips and comments about how i can make this sort of blog better are more than welcome.

Review of anime A.D.Police
Review Time. Today lets look at the anime A.D. Police

Genre: Action

Value: 2/5

Rating: 13+

STORY.

Genom city is a huge city with millions of people and machines. In a place this big there is also a lot of crime. To help solve these and to protect the people a elite unit was created. This unit is the AD police and it's officers are the very best. They have their work cut out for them though as the boomer incidents are getting more and more frequent. Can the stop whoever is responsible for these rogue boomers?

CHRACTERS.

Sasaki. The typical hard assed cop who works for the AD police. He has a history for doing things his own way and this usually results in the deaths or injuries of his partners.

Paul. Sasaki's former partner who was hosptalizes after a incident with a roque boomer. He and Sasaki are good friends and his hopitalisation hits Sasaki hard.

Hans. He is Sasaki's new partner. Although they don't head of on a good start they actually become good partners. Because of a accident he has a small fragment in his brain.

Boomers. These are humanlike robots that are used throughout the city as workers.

ART & MUSIC.

Both the art (4/5) and music (4/5) are excellent.

VOICE ACTING

The Japanese acting was great as usual (5/5). I didn't watch the English dub so i don't know how good or bad it is..

Personal note. The reason i bought this is because i'm a huge fan of Bubblegum Crisis and the AD police feature greatly in that show. Although this AD police appears to be the same from that series everything else is different. This is a series purely about the AD police and i didn't like it. Mainly because i hated the main character Sasaki and the few attempts at humor fail miserably. My dislike for him really ruined any fun watching this.

Genre: Comedy/action

Sasshi and Arumi live in Abenobashi. This shopping arcade was once thriving but has long sinds lost it's appeal. After her grandfather has had a accident Arumi's parents decide to leave for another city. Sasschi is devastated to hear this and would do anything to keep this from happening. Then strange things start to happen and the two find themselfs traveling to many different worlds. But no matter what sort of world they travel to they are always in Abenobashi. Each Abenobashi they visit is different, some are prehistoric while others are science fiction. They learn that in order to return to their own world they must defeat the goblin of that reality. Can they manage to find their way home?

CHRACTERS.

Sasschi. A young boy who has grown up in Abenobashi. He is Arumi's best friend sinds he can remember. His main purpose seems to be to take all the psysical punishments that the differend Abenobashi's can dish out.

Arumi. A young girl who has grown up in Abenobashi. She is Sasshi's best friend sinds her early childhood. She is very driven to return to their Abenobashi and will do anything to get there.

Mune Mune. This woman is in every Abenobashi and she is constantly searching for a mysterious man called Eutus. She sometimes helps them but she is mostly in the way. But as she likes to press Sasshi into her very impressive bosom he doesn't seem to mind running into her.

Eutus. This mysterious man is also in every Abenobashi. He seems to know a lot about what is happening and tends to give some helpfull advice from time to time.

ART & MUSIC.

Both the art (5/5) and music (5/5) are excellent.

VOICE ACTING

The Japanese acting is as usual excellent (5/5). I didn't watch the English dub so i don't know how good or bad it was.

Personal note. I really loved this anime. The humor is excellent, some of it is pure slapstick but not all the humor is like that. Each world is very well worked out and often a parody of the genre. There is a rpg world, a chinese kung fu world, a sci fi world and many others. The only bad point i could discover was that it contained only 13 episodes. This is easely one of my favorite anime's

Review of anime 3x3 eyes
Review Time. Today lets look at the anime 3x3 Eyes

Value. 4/5

Genre. Action

Rating. 13 years and older.

STORY.

The series is made up of two seperate stories that feature the same main characters.

Story 1: Pai, a young girl, travels to Tokyo searching for Yakumo because of a promise to his father. When she finds him she tells him that she is the last of a race called the Sanjiyan and that she wants to become human. Yakumo's father was helping her when he died and passed the task on to his son. Yakumo flatly refuses but when a strange creature appears in Tokyo he finds himself helping her stop it. During this he becomes mortally wounded and in order to save him Pai makes him her immortal servant, a mu. Despite this he is still reluctant to help her but events teach him otherwise. Against his will he is drawn into a supernatural world for which he is unprepared but it is something that he must face.

Story 2: It is now severall years after the events of story 1. Yakumo is traveling around the world searching for Pai who has disappeard. During his travels he has learned much about the psychic world and is now much stronger than he used to be, both physically and spiritually. When he finally finds her he is shocked to learn that she has lost her memory and her powers appear to be sealed. Yakumo isn't the only one to find her as Pai's ever present enemies are still after her. Running from their enemies they continue to search for the was to make Pai human and while doing so they'll learn more about the Sanjiyan and how they came to their end.

CHRACTERS.

Pai. She is the last remaining Sanjiyan and dispite her youthful appearance she is over 300 years old. You could say that there are 2 personalities in her. There is the "normal" Pai who is sweet, innocent, kind and naive. Then there is the Sanjiyan Pai who appears to be very cold, cruel and distand. Both have the same goals and want to become fully human.

Yakumo. A young man who is trying to make a living in Tokyo. His meeting with Pai is accidental and although he isn't to keen on helping her he soon finds himself no choice. As time goes by he learns more and more about the supernateral and tries his best to become strong enough to not only protect himself but also the people he cares for.

Professor Fujii. Yakumo's father who left for Tibet 4 years ago searching for the legendary Sanjiyanunkara. He actually finds one and promises to help her become human but before he can do this he falls ill and dies.

Sanjiyanunkara. There beings look just like humans only with three eyes. They are repuded to be immortal and have enormous psychic powers.

Wu. These are the servants/guardians of the Sanjiyan and are created by the Sanjiyan by taking the soul of their servant into their own bodies. This grands the servant the power of immortality and the ability to instantly recover from injuries. When the Sanjiyan dies so does the Wu.

Kwai Yan Wang. He was the ruler of the Sanjiyan and Pai's fiancée. He was a naive and kind who slowly turned into a force of pure evil trying to take over the world. He is also known as Shiva (a destuctive god in Hindu legend)

Benares. He is Kwai Yan Wang's Wu and a extremely powerful demon lord. He is very vicious and cruel and wil stop at nothing to free his master.

ART & MUSIC.

Both the art (5/5) and music (5/5) are excellent. I must say that i have a very bad copy and the quality of the picture was very bad and dark sometimes.

VOICE ACTING

The Japanese acting is excellent as usual (5/5). I didn't watch the English dub so i don't know how good or bad it was.

Personal note. This was one of the fist anime's i watched and i was ver glad that i found it in the stores. It is a very good story and also very bloody. Unfortunately for Yakumo the fact that he can't die means that he has to absorb a lot of damage in his fights. So when he is fighting expect to see enough blood flowing to fill a river.

If you have any questions please let me know. Also tips and comments about how i can make this sort of blog better are more than welcome.
