Lol. I think that your talking about Fruits Basket.

Fushigi Yuugi is about a girl who gets sucked into a book called "The Universe of the Four Gods" and ends up in ancient China. There she accepts the role of the Priestess of Suzaku. She has to gather up 7 constellation beings (the lucky thing is that they're all men. And most of them are kawaii!)

Anyways, her best friends ends up getting sucked into the book too but she was working for the bad guys. She believed that she had been betrayed by her best friend because she didn't hear her best friend's cries for help when she was ABOUT to be defiled.

It's such a good anime! Go to www.youtube.com and search for Fushigi Yugi or Fushigi Yuugi episodes. You'll get to watch free anime episodes there. If you already know then that's great!
