Our power's out...
Dang. Our power was out when I woke up this morning, so I wasn't able to do my homework on the computer (I'm typing this at school!). I still have a free period to do it, though.
My brother's - The Oracle's - birthday is today. Whoohoo! He got his presents on Saturday, though. Guitar Hero II and Tales of the Abyss. We can play 2-player on both! I was excited that we didn't need a multitap for TotA. There is one word that describes why Guitar Hero II is awesome, but my brother said not to tell anyone what it is.
I seem to find myself always getting behind in my classes. Maybe I should do my homework earlier...
The karaoke night went awesomely! Everyone loved DDR and no one was super good at it, so it was more fun. It's better to play with people that are all at relatively the same skill level. I also sang two songs. I sang "I'll Make a Man out of You" (from Mulan) with my friend Cyan and I sang "Kiss the Girl" (from the Little Mermaid) with a Korean girl named Simone who used to be in my band class. It was very fun.
Please check out my art, people. I feel sad that so far only Doodle has done so... My art is lonely...
Anyhow, see you later. I've been trying to cut down on the length of my posts, but it's not working. I just have too much to say...
See ya laters.

Today is My Friday!
Yesterday was the birthday of the only TM squad member without an otaku account. He's now 18! I got him a philosophy book as a present.
In America, the elections just finished. Not for president, just for congress and state stuff. I don't want to get into a political debate, so I'm not revealing my party -I'm undecided anyway.
Tonight, our school is having a karaoke/DDR night for all the international students to meet American students. I'm bringing DDR. This should be fun.
Another 3 day weekend that I can get absolutely no use out of! Oh well. It beats school! See you all later, I hope.

Am I obsessed? YES!
Lessee... over the weekend I watched the Nightmare Before Christmas twice. Once with my friend Cyan, and once in theaters with Doodle. I also watched Advent Children, Whisper of the Heart, The Little Mermaid, and part of Cinderella before I fell asleep.
I had SAT's. Those were much easier than I expected. I was there for three or four hours, though, and that was really boring.
I spent the night at a friend's house, saw Nightmare in 3D, took SAT's, and... I had an eventful weekend.
BTW, please check my new art and comment on it! That would make me happy! I probably won't have new art for a while now because I'm working on my writings more lately.
See ya later, people! Be nice until then!

This is Halloween
Mwa ha ha! I just had to post on Halloween! This'll have to be a quickie, though!
New art up! It's a Halloween piece! I like how you can now write comments of unlimited length to describe your art. It's very unrestricting.
I have SAT's this weekend, so hope that all goes well... I have to hurry and finish this post! House is on! And Criminal Intent! Why did the TV have to switch the times?!
Have a Happy Halloween, and may you receive all tricks and no treats! Scratch that. Reverse it. See ya!

Everything looks beautiful when you're young and pretty.
Sorry, my media player's on New York City right now. Check it. They Might Be Giants rock my socks more than any band!
Anyhow... I hit my head on a pole on Friday, which in retrospect seems kinda funny. It hurt something awful, though. I was backing out of a door, and there is this pole right behind it, and I just WHUMP! hit the back of my head on the pole and fell to the ground. I started crying in front of my guy friends, which really isn't cool...
I got a new Japanese dictionary! Yay! Actually, it's a kanji dictionary, so I can translate stuff much better now! I've been having loads of fun with character names! I'm re-obsessed! I also took a test on Anime Lyrics (where I got an account) to determine whether I can submit lyrics, which is totally stupid since I have official printouts of the Japanese lyrics to the CD I want to submit... Whew. Take a breather, TM.
Halloween is in two days! Yay! I need to dig out the Nightmare Before Christmas CD and watch the movie about fifty-million times between now and Chrismtas. It's also the perfect time for deathnote. Anyhow, I'll be back to haunt you on Halloween - hopefully.
Hope my head gets better, pwease. It huwts pwetty badwy...

Tough Days...
I've had a really rough week... One of my friends was a real jerk to me, but I don't want to talk to him about it because he'll think it was no big deal...
I got into an argument with another one of my friends over how manga should be read. He thinks it should be flipped so it all reads left to right like American comics because he says it's easier for everyone that way. I totally disagree and think it violates a manga artist's original intentions. What do you guys think?
I got a new book on Friday. It's called "Fragile Things" and it's by Neil Gaiman (he rocks!). 'Tis a collection of short fiction stories, and they are quite good and inspiring. I also translated half of the Japanese songs on Puffy AmiYumi's Splurge CD. I'm thinking about getting an account on animelyrics.com and posting them. I thought they were pretty good translations...
Anyway, please respond to the anime argument. I want to know how many of you agree with me and if anyone agrees with my friend. See ya later, and hope I'm feeling less bitter... Ciao!

We Took the Deal!
The Banquet was super-fun! I'm so glad Doodle was able to come! There was an auction, and our table put all our Bond bucks (it was James Bond-themed) together to buy The Little Mermaid DVD and The Little Mermaid treasure box (it was kinda a joke). Then, the auctioneer got a call just like on Deal or No Deal and he asked if we wanted to trade our prize in for the Mystery Prize! It was super exciting, and it took us a long time to decide. We took the deal and ended up winning a basket of candy, popcorn, and three war movies. Our table somehow split them, but we were the first exciting table of the night!
Later, there was a huge box of homemade brownies, and we pooled our money with the table next to us to win that. It was the most expensive item at the whole event!
We also played much video games at the after party. It was the BEST banquet I've ever been to! Plus, I sent in my application for art school on Friday! Yay!
I got a new Puffy AmiYumi CD yesterday! It's called Splurge. I know a lot of people think they're annoying, but I like their music... BTW, thanks for the ASYLUM character, Doodle! It's the coolest thing ever! I'm obsessed! Ya ha ha!
Anyhow, I got nothin' else to say. I'll post back at a later date once I have stuff to talk about.

7 Days...
Actually, it's just one. Tomorrow Doodle comes! Oh, excitement!
Tales of the Abyss came out yesterday. I want to get it for the Gamecube because it's probably 4-player whereas the PS2 one is not.
Today was Fake Injury Day of Spirit Week. I bandaged my leg and wore a brace on my wrist. Yeah...
I see an awful lot of people that remind me of John Flansburgh... I've only seen a couple that remind me of John Linnell... It's not pathetic to know what the TMBG guys look like because their music videos are cool.
Tomorrow will be my second attempt at a J-MASU (Japanese Media Appreciation Society with a u to make it a Japanese verb) meeting. I'm bringing in some manga and an art book, so I hope it's more successful. I need to actually plan things to do... I suppose I'm not a very good president...

I'm Kira
Lucky me! I'm dressed like Light Yagami today!
Do you guys like DeathNote? I think it's great!
You should all read the manga, it's great!
Know what I did last weekend? I'll tell you later.
Shinigami are so cool! Ryuk is my favorite so far.
Love that groovy song... What was it called again?
Apples? No, that can't be right...
If you didn't get my message, you obviously haven't read the coolest manga ever. Now to tell you about the cool thing that happened to me... I saw Henry Selick (director of Nightmare Before Christmas, James and the Giant Peach, Moongirl, and the future film Coraline) speak last Wednesday. I had no school on Thursday and Friday, so my dad let my brother and I go! It was exciting!
This week is spirit week, and today is Cops and Robbers Day! I'm technically both. Light Yagami robs people of life with the DeathNote, and he also works on the Police Force. The Oracle is L. This week's days have been Pirate Day, Made-Up Superhero Day, Cops and Robbers Day, and the rest of the week will be Fake Injury Day and Purple and Gold Day in honor of our school colors.
Doodle's coming to visit on Friday! She's spending the night and coming to my school's Fall Banquet, which is themed after James Bond! How exciting! Anyway, I've talked enough abut school and shinigami, so have fun the rest of this week!
Ja ne! Watch out for Kira!

Improv is an art...
I went to the Oregon Improv Festival on Saturday. It was really fun. They put you in a group with five or six people you don't know, give you an inspiration, and expect you to construct an improv skit within the hour. My group's scene was at a wedding, and we were all crazy relatives. It wasn't very good, though... I think it was a little chaotic... I got to be the creepy goth girl, though... That was fun...
We didn't make it to the finals, but I didn't want to, anyway. We watched a lot of funny skits!
My friends... or should I say friend... is ignoring me again... It sucks. I don't want to be annoying, but when I try to start normal conversations I get completely ignored. When I butt in to give my opinion or ask people to talk to me, they get angry at me and accuse me of being whiny. There's no talking to those people... I'm not trying to be whiny, I just really need to talk to one of my friends about something, and I can't if they're never listening...
My brother and I bought Dragon Quest VIII, but I can't play it because I left my memory card at Doodle's house! Maybe she can come to the banquet and I can get it back from her then...
