#29 Hoobastank Album(s) I Own: Hoobastank (The 7 Series)
Now usually you would never see a hugely mainstream relatively new band such as Hoobastank on here, but i must admit they have alot of talent. Although I've yet to hear more than one song fromt heir second album, their first was really good. Running Away may have been overplayed, but still a really good song. They have a big potential but I fear because they are so mainstream that they will soon fall out of popularity and therefor never be heard of again.
Its about time I posted in this again to continue my countdown. I've been somewhat busy with some stuff here at home and what not.
June is gay month and gay days was yesterday at Disney, i however did not go. I never do. But this is a big month. I have the state bowling tournament on the 26-27 and my parents have their anniversary on the 16th where they will leave me all alone for 3 days. Yay, and JJ is coming over to during that time, NO PURPLE! and he's also goign with us to the tournament so I'm really happy.
I bought some goalie stuff for hockey the other day. We started playing again and it's really fun. SO yeah thats it i guess.
Oh yeah I want to post a picture of JJ, but i don't have a web host or anything.

Whee Roller Coaster Time!
| |
I will be forgoing the Top 50 for this post to bring you another top chart, but this one much more interesting and maybe even useful to some of you. I went to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure yesterday, apart from the sunburn and blistered feet, it was great. The new Revenge of the Mummy ride premiered on the 21st and I got to ride it yesterday as well (more to come on that) and I finally got to ride The Incredible Hulk. Due to this, I'm now making a list of the best and worst coasters of the central florida area. I will also list the best and worst theme parks, simulated rides, shows, etc as well. Maybe some of you are coming down for a summer vacation and you don't know what theme park to go to, if any, and maybe this may help you in deciding.
Roller Coasters
There are 13 big coasters in the central florida area (at the moment. Several new coasters are in the planning or being built). This list does not include "family" roller coasters, which are usually small, don't invert, and don't goes terribly fast. Click name to see picture.
13. Python
Location: Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
Type: Steel/Sit Down
Height: 70'
Speed: 50 mph
Duration: 1:10
Number of Invertions: 2
Year Created: 1977
My Thoughts: This is probably the shortest coaster in central florida. It is also one of the oldest. The invertions cosist of two corkscrews back to back (seen in the picture) after the drop which gives a small, fast rush. There's no playing around with this coaster.
12. Big Thunder Mountain
Location: Walt Disney World - The Magic Kingdom
Type: Steel/Sit Down
Speed: 36 mph
Length: 2780'
Number of Invertions: 0
Year Created: 1980
My Thoughts: I dunno if you can really consider this a big coaster, but it's not a family one. No invertions, just lots of humps and dips. It's a Disney coaster, you can't expect much.
11. Space Mountain
Location: Walt Disney World - The Magic Kingdom
Type: Steel/Sit Down
Height: 90'
Speed: 27 mph
Duration: 2:35
Number of Invertions: 0
Year Created: 1975
My Thoughts: It's the oldest and slowest coaster but still a great coaster. Why? Because it's in the dark. The theming for the ride is great. In the loading station, if you look up, you can actually see the other trains along the track. Well you actually see their glow in the dark sides which make them look like shooting stars. Just don't put your hands in the air, you might hit something.
10. Scorpion
Location: Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
Type: Steel/Sit Down
Height: 65'
Speed: 50 mph
Duration: 2:15
Number of Invertions: 1
Year Created: 1981
My Thoughts: Even though th Scorpion only has one invertion, thats really not the best part of the ride. The track in confided into a small space and the ride has about 3 horizontal loops which provide alot of G-Force. It's not long and not super great, but it's a classic.
09. Gwazi
Location: Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
Type: Wooden
Height: 90'
Speed: 50 mph
Duration: 2:30
Number of Invertions: 0
Year Created: 1999
My Thoughts: This is the only wooden coaster in the central florida area and it's absolutely great. This one is unique because it runs two trains at once. the theming is Lion vs. Tiger. Normally I would classify this as two coasters, but both tracks are pretty much the same so thers really no difference except they go up on oppsite sides of the coaster. It's a great ride with wild drops that will lift you out of your seat.
08. Rock-n-Roller Coaster
Location: Walt Disney World - MGM Studios
Type: Steel/Sit Down
Height: 80'
Speed: 57 mph
Duration: 1:22
Number of Invertions: 3
Year Created: 1999
My Thoughts: This is one of the first coasters to incorporate an acceleration technique which launches the coaster to 57 mph in 2.3 seconds. It goes straight into a 80 foot loop. There are 2 more invertions in this coaster which also takes place int he dark. Another uniquity to this coaster is that it revolves around the theming of the band Aerosmith, which plays 1 of 4 random songs while on the ride. It's an awesome ride, and a must do for any amusement park goer. You won't realize that you're even upside down.
07. Dueling Dragons - Ice Dragon
Location: Universal Studios Islands of Adventure
Type: Steel/Inverted
Height: 125'
Speed: 55 mph
Duration: 2:25
Number of Invertions: 5
Year Created: 1999
My Thoughts: The whole concept of this coaster is absolutely amazing and the theming is even better (consists of dragons who have been dueling over many years and people are riding on the back of the dragons). This coaster is another double coaster, but this one has two distinct tracks, unlike Gwazi, so I seperated them into two different coasters. Ice is the weakers as far as thrill goes but it contains some of the best invertions on any coaster, including a Zero-G Roll (Heartline Spin) or what is refered to as a Camel-back in sit down coasters. This coaster is inverted, which mean your feet hang; my favorite type of coaster. If you like invertions and turns, you may favor Ice more than Fire.
06. Revenge of The Mummy
Location: Universal Studios
Type: Steel/Sit Down
Height: 125'
Speed: 40 mph
Duration: 4:00
Number of Invertions: 0
Year Created: 2004
My Thoughts: The newest coaster on the list. This coaster premiered just 6 days ago and I got to ride it the other day. It's not a typical coaster. It's more like a simulation/coaster. First it moves you along slowly showing specific scenes relating to the Mummy and his curse and then the roller coaster part is a symbolism of the Mummy's wrath. It's a great coaster in the dark again and even has a little surprise ending.
05. The Incredible Hulk
Location: Universal Studios Islands of Adventure
Type: Steel/Sit Down
Height: 110'
Speed: 67 mph
Duration: 2:15
Number of Invertions: 7
Year Created: 1999
My Thoughts: One of the most famous coasters in central florida. The Hulk is a new type of coaster which deals with the generic roller coaster ideas with a new twist. This one also launches you instead of dropping you like a traditional coaster would. You got from 0-67 moh in a few seconds and into a inverted roll right off the bat an then into several other invertions till you hit the bg roll which is absolutely huge. The coaster is longer than it seems. Besides giving me a headache, it was very very good.
04. Kumba
Location: Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
Type: Steel/Sit Down
Height: 143'
Speed: 60 mph
Duration: 2:54
Number of Invertions: 7
Year Created: 1993
My Thoughts: A revolutionary coaster in it's day, Kumba is one of the tallest and fastest coaster in central florida. Also one of the longest. It also tends to be very loud, hence it's name, which means "roar." It gives me a bad headache sometimes, but thats a different story. Kumba is really tall and drops really fast and has several invertions which jerk you around alot. It's long so I like it alot but apart from the jerky ride and noise, it's a great coaster.
03. Dueling Dragons - Fire Dragon
Location: Universal Studios Islands of Adventure
Type: Steel/Inverted
Height: 125'
Speed: 60 mph
Duration: 2:25
Number of Invertions: 5
Year Created: 1999
My Thoughts: Fire Dragon is the better of the two on Dueling Dragons. It has a bigger drop, longer track, faster moving and the same amount of invertions which jerk you around alot in the back. The initial drop is the best part of the coast, something Ice lacks. Overall a great overall coaster and the best part of Dueling Dragons by far.
02. Kraken
Location: Sea World Orlando
Type: Steel/Floorless
Height: 149'
Speed: 65 mph
Duration: 3:39
Number of Invertions: 7
Year Created: 200
My Thoughts: The only coaster Sea World has, cause when you think Sea World, you think awesome coaster! Well they did good. This is unlike the inverted coaster from which the track is above you, this coaster is floorless, which means the track is below you but your feet still hang. Its not long enough by my standards, even though the duration is great, thats because it's tall and takes a while to get up to the top. It does a great job of interacting with it's surroundings, going into the ground and above things and below itself in cetain areas. It's got a nice smooth ride and overall is a great ride.
01. Montu
Location: Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
Type: Steel/Sit Down
Height: 150'
Speed: 60 mph
Duration: 3:00
Number of Invertions: 7
Year Created: 1996
My Thoughts: The best coaster in central florida by far. If you go to Busch Gardens you can't miss this coaster. It is right in front of the parking lot so everyone sees it coming in and deservingly so too. It's the longest "ride" coaster on the list. When it seems like it's over it isn't. The coaster also interacts well with the area dipping into the ground where people are and twirling above them. Kinda like showing itself off. At night this coaster is the best, closely followed by Kumba which is nearly pitch black at night. Smooth, quiet, no headaches from this one. The free fall point is one of it's best features. Awesome caoster for all to enjoy.

05. Sea Wolrd Orlando

Simulated Rides
These are rides which simulate a "rea" experience by hydrolics and a screen or a fake environment and a track.
10. Pirates of the Carribean (Magic Kingdom - Walt Disney World)
09. Earthquake (Universal Studios)
08. Dinosaur (Animal Kingdom - Walt Disney World)
07. Twister (Universal Studios)
06. Wild Arctic (Sea World Orlando)

#30 Bush Album(s) I Own: Sixteen Stone, Razorblade Suitcase
Yay for hot Gwen Stafani's husband! Anyway, this group is pretty much the only "Bush" I'll ever like. What cn I say about this english rock band that makes them so great? Their uniquite style of music/lyrics/vocals which you can spot a mile away. Something about songs like Everything Zen, Little Things, and Glycerine that just catch you and make you say "Wow." But nothing comes close to the reaction you get when you hear Machinehead. Un-fucking-believable! One of the greatest rock songs ever written. ALl of these songs are off Sixteen Stone ofcourse. Thier best album to date. Razorblade Suitcasehas some of their more famous songs like Swallowed and Mouth. Notice any sort of connections between the two? I always wondered why they were so popular. Anyway, Bush... when I think of Bush I usually get sick, but the rock band just makes me happy. Do yourself a huge favor and go listen to Machinehead if anything. I bet even Tori likes Bush. heh.
I'm going to go get my b/f and we're going to go to Jacon, Orlando's finest anime convention, or something like that. I usually go every year, except last. So yeah, hopefully that'll be fun.

#31 Sevendust Album(s) I Own: Sevendust, Home
Probably one of the best rock groups of my time. Probably one of the most unique as well. Alot of diversity in their band, not only in music, but in their lives and the way they live them. Plus you know a Sevendust song when you hear it. Their self titled album was their first album, followed by Home later. Since then they've released two or three more albums, all full of goodness for your ears. Their music ranges from a strong sense of hard core rock down to a calming sense of pop-rock almost. Mixed together, it sounds absolutely wonderful, no wonder they are so insanely popular.
I realize that alot of people use their MyO for like... umm... I dunno. Whatever they use it for I don't. I never know what to talk about here, in fact I had to come up with this list of Top 50 just so I'd have something to write here or else I'm sure it'd become a dormant blog like my LJ so ultimately did. I have nothing to talk about you know. Unless it's ranting which doesn't quite work out as well because the person i rant to usually never reads it here. Like I notice James talked about E3, and Jimmy was saying some funy stuff about Japan, and Tori was saying how she hates her Nanna... I didn't go to E3, nor do I know wht happened there, I don't know enough abotu Japan to make some funny list, and I hate my grandmother isn't telling me not to get pregnant. Hell she still thinks i like girls!
Oh yeah, I bought move's single collection called Rewind which comes with 2 CD's and a DVD. Now all I need to get is their new original album and Gackt's two new albums and I'll be all caught up. But god damn that economy in Japan. I can't afford this shit anymore. I collect three artists albums and I can't even do that cause every god damn CD there is $30! I buy so much things used now because it's just easier than spending fucking $15 or more on a CD. Thats the most ridiculous thing ever. How much can it cost to create a stupid round plastic thing with a few papers you call a booklet? Not $15 thats for sure. There is a reason you can find brand new items for almost half their retail price online. Here I go complaining again.
I want to do something. I was originally supposed to go to Universal today for the new Mummy Ride, but thats not till Tuesday so I think I'm going to play hockey today. But thats not till later. Oh wow, I just realized I haven't eaten yet... I've got something to do. Off I go *zooms off*

#32 AC/DC Album(s) I Own: Back in Black
One of the greatest rock bands to ever step foot on the earth. AC/DC is a band which anyone over the age of 20 has a strong appreciation of. Back in Black was their first album after their lead singer died and probably one of, if not, the best album they've ever had. AC/DC has such a distinctive sound that once you hear a song, you'll never forget it. They are always so energetic and full of spirit and their music shows it too. AC/DC is a true rock band. You won't find many quite like them.
Um I watched my boyfriend and one of our friends play D&D today. It was weird, and I, being the funny person I am, had to make jokes every 5 seconds. I think it got annoying but it was kinda fun for me.
I think my A drive has about had it. I just put a disk in to read and it just sat there making some weird "rahhh rahhh rahhhhhh" noise like it was trying to read the disk, but it couldn't. Or maybe just cause it's old and all old things, including people, suck.
Hunny, if you're reading this. I tried your disk in the other computer and it would read it but not copy anything. Or show me the picture you put on there. So I'd love to see the wallpaper, but the disk you gave me being a fucking cunt. So I dunno what to tell you. I fucking hate 3 1/2" floppies. Nothing is more annoying than these fucking things. No computer can read them right it seems.
Going to Jacon on Sunday with JJ. I wish everyone else could go, but they are going on Saturday and unfortunantly, I work. Just like I do in 8 hours from now (because I decided I would for a few hours to get more hours), so I better sleep.
I FUCKING HATE FLOPPIES!

#33 Ian van Dahl Album(s) I Own: Ace
Ian van Dahl is a trance "group." Basically it's a woman, the singer, and 2 producers who create trance/dance music. You've probably heard Castles In The Sky somewhere. It's probably their most famous hit. They have one album, Ace, which has two versions. The original, and the special edition which came with a second CD full of remixes. Their two singles, Castles in the Sky and Will I? are pretty famous int he club and mix scene. They've had big radio play too. Anyway, nothing terribly special about this group, but they do create good music. Tons of remixes and tons of play in mixes of even more famous DJs.
Going to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure next Tuesday. I'm gonna ride Revenge of the Mummy! DOn't you wish you could be me lol. Don't answer that. Anyway, there was someone in the Bush/Kerry thread that said I should be president. I could imagine that, but then I'd probably either never even be considered with my ideals, not even get close to winning, or if by some chance I did ever become president, i'd be assisinated in the first few days. That would certainly be a bad day for many many people.
Why does the side color of the default page for MyO keep changing to even more gay colors? lol.
Today, well yesterday, was my 5 month annivesary with my JJ. Longest relationship I've had. And we're not completely bored or irratated with each other yet lol. I love him so much. :)

#34 Daniel Beddingfield Album(s) I Own: Gotta Get Thru This
Daniel Beddingfield is a British artist who first became famous in America with his title track for his album Gotta Get Thru This. Since then he's had a few hits from this album including James Dean (I Wanna Know) and If You're Not The One. He's was insaely popular in England and now here as well. His first American preformance was in Orlando a year and half ago, although I did not go, I wish I did. He's got a great voice and a great feel for music, whether it be something fast, slow, acoustic, or dance, he can do it. Great artist.
You'll never guess what I did yesterday. I bought Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, even though I haven't beaten Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic yet. But thats not the surprising part. I bought a Nintendo Gamecube! What the fuck is wrong with me? Well nothing considering it was $40 so I kindajumped all over it, with the help of my boyfriend who is in love with Gamesquare. Plus I really like Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (This doesn't mean I like all FF games, let me assure you that) and they don't have that for Xbox lol. So yeah, I did all that yesterday....
SO yeah, my boyfriend and this other guy are like fighting with each other, but not physically. It's just they hate each other and they can't do anything with any of their mutual friends because they can't stand to be around each other. Not to mention this jackass is totally jealous that JJ has a boyfriend, and this other guy is just a total slut. So I think it's immature to do this, but I dunno what to say anout it. I'd like to go kick the other kids ass for being a prick about it all (apparently he talks behind JJ's back and other people's back as well) but then I could kinda be arrested for Assualt and Battery and well can't have that happening. This other guy is really ugly too.... anyway. So yeah...

#35 The Crystal Method Album(s) I Own: Vegas
The Crystal Method is a DJ group who not only creat great original music, but are very famous for creating remixes. In fact their latest album was a huge remix album of many popular bands including POD, Garbage, etc. Vegas is probably their best album to date. Some of the songs have been used in movie soundtracks, video games, whatnot. They create trance music, hip hop beats, electronic dance, whatever a DJ can make, they can and have done it. They are a unique DJ group.
I have seen the video of that guy who was beheaded. And I dunno what I think. Well what I think aboutthe whole incident is posted at OB, along with that other jackass who posted his stupid shit. But about the actual video. It almost looks fake, or well I guess you want to make it look fake to take away from the reality of it all. Its difficult to watch. If for some reason, you feel the need or curiosity to watch it, the full video can be found at www.ogrish.com, but I warn you that this is someone getting their head cut off. It's no pretty, it's not happy, it's not enlightening. Don't watch if you are like a kid or anything, you'll probably be tramatized for life or something, but kids shouldn't be visiting myOtaku anyway.

Psycho le FUCKING Cemu!
| |
Psycho le Cemu is coming to the US! WHAAA What the fuck? Theya re going to PMX (Pacific Media Expo) in Anaheim and then to A-Kon is fucking Dallas, TEXAS! Why the fuck would anyone, let alone a Japanese band, want to go to fucking Texas. No offense Texans, but your state sucks ass.
I dunno if this is good or bad. PlC is a great band, don't get me wrong. But they are fuckign weird, even for Japanese standards, makes me wonder how they will be precieved here. Not that I worry about them at the cons because lets face it, con-nies are fucking weird too. It just seems weird that a huge band in Japan is coming here. Duel Jewel was the first, but they weren't huge and they aren't anymore. No one remembers them. But yeah, I wanna go, but i certainly am not going to TEXAS to see them. I would go to Anaheim, but.... yeah...
How come this information was never passed to me Jimmy? I'ms ure you knew about it...

#36 DJ Icey Album(s) I Own: Essential Mix
DJ Icey started out as a local Orlando resident DJ, but then progressed to huge fame not only in the US club scene, but the world club scene as well. His first original album Mixed contains some of the most midely played music, including The One. It was an album consisting of break beats, which were insanely popular during the early 90s. His unique style of blending break beats and techno beats creates a really nice sound. His newest album, Different Day, takes a new twist in his style with certain songs. Some are more relaxed, slower, and more calming. Some contain alot of trance characteristics. He got rid of alot of his break beat style, but gained alot of new talent in creating music which appeals to alot more people. Every great artist has change, he's certainly no excetion. Great music and great mixes.
JJ and I got into a fight the other day because of something I shouldn't have said which I won't go into. But we're ok now. I'm stupid and said something stupid, but oh well. Its past us now, eventhough I know I will never hear the end of it, but I deserve that lol.
I read the first two volumes of .hack//LEGEND OF THE TWILIGHT manga and watched the first 8 episodes of the anime series as well. It's a great series. I heard it's better than .hack//SIGN, but I've only seen the first 5 of those, but I will see the rest later on. So far it's a great anime/manga. Deffinitely worth getting into.
