I'm still alive
| |
I haven't died, or fallen off the face of earth, or eaten by sharks, or swallowed by Disney, or been stuck in a phone booth, or anything similar to that. I just have been really lazy. Forgive me my friends :(
Pretty been doing three things. Either at school, at work, or at friends. How odd that "here" is not one of those. I'm usually not here unless it's Thursday during the day, which I won't be tomorrow, or like at 2 in the morning. And then I'm usually doing homework lol. Or am just too tired from work to do anything buy sit here and stare.
Lets go over the last week shall we? Good. I've rekindled my love for the band Days of the New. Tony probably knows who they are, he probably doesn't like them all too much though :p So I've listened to them alot. Their first album. I don't have any of their newer ones.
I played football, the actual physical activity, on Saturday and I was sore for 3 days straight! It was horrid, but I'll be playing again this Saturday lol.
I cleaned my room, so all my clothes are folded and in their places in drawrs, my floor has nothing on it, and stuff like that. Unlike that one recent picture of me some of you have lol.
My mum had surgery yesterday and she calls me on my cell FROM THE OTHER ROOM to ask me something lol. I thought it was so funny. (She couldn't get up or yell really loud so thats why) but still, funny. Then I preceeded to get her food and drink. I guess thats what children are for.
Tomorrow I am taking appart all my legos.... whoo... so I'll be busy. I better go to bed, seeing as how it's 4:10am....
Oh yeah, i downloaded MOON CHILD, the latest Gackt movie. It's all good except it doesn't have subtitles. So I'll be watching it and basing it solely on visual plot and not anything else lol. But who cares, it's Gackt and I already know the basic premisis of the movie, so it'll be good. I honestly don't feel like paying $80 for the damn DVD, the Japanese economy is so bad.

Dum Dum
| | It's 3:30, well it was, and I just not got home from work lol. We sat outside talkin for about an hour and a half. Talked about babies to cars, and then back around again.
Anyway... I just found my CD with globe's song Try this shoot. I love this song. I think it was the first globe song they did in that trancy style. It's really good, and if you haven't heard it, go get it or something. It's Japanese, the RIAA can't get you lol.
Oh yeah and I wanted to see what you all thought of my new banner: click here. So yeah... it's also at OB, but respond here dammit.

Drix
| | I have an odd question:
Was Drix someone before? He seems to be insanely popular and very fast too. I was just wondering if he was someone before and I missed the name change?
There's this really hot boy at the bank right... and ofcourse, as with every boy, I'm afraid to ask them THE QUESTION.... you know the one. My gaydar goes wacko when I see him, but I'm always afraid to ask the "are you gay?" question... not only does it OUT me, which I don't particularly liek to do to complete strangers, but it may make them uncomfortable or might even offend them lol. There's also this uber cute guy in one of my classes.... he's short ::melts::, cute, skinnier than me.... I actually kinda talked to him the other day, he lied to me though... I asked him if he had his paper and he said "I turned mine in already" and then when we were leaving I overheard him tell the teacher he didn't have his paper.... It's so cute when people lie like that though. But why would he lie to me?... seems so odd.... oh well. I dunno what to do.... usually have girls do this stuff for me.

Some Numbers / Stuff
| | Top 100 Japanese Music Artists: Numbers 62-66
09/30 - 62. Chage&Aska
09/29 - 63. Dragon Ash Ah the first punk turned rap band. Probably the most famous Japanese rap group. Because they used to do punk music, they have a strong rock influence in their music, which makes it rather tolerable for a rap group. I don't listen to them much, but they aren't bad, and their videos are rather funny, especially the one for I Love Hip-Hop.
09/28 - 64. Hi-standard
09/27 - 65. GLAY I don't like GLAY, except for their song Yuuwaku, but I think they deserve better than 65. I think it's Teru's fault they got so low... I mean, he just sucks. They should have kept his ass on drums, they might have gotten higher... Although it's pretty obvious that some pop singer will be #1. Most likely a female. Influential rock bands aren't doing so far as of yet.
09/26 - 66. Masayoshi Yamazaki
Anyway, I'm lazy. Haven't updated this nor have I checked much in a while... Although the weekends tend to be busy for me, so hopefully soon I should check some of this out again.
As far as those who wanted to help me on the Otaku Top 100... I'd figure I do 25 at a time... so I dunno how to go about this except to have you all make a list of 100-76 and e-mail it to me and I'll do the same and put them in order as best I can. If anyone has a different idea, tell me lol. I'm all out... and I still dunno how I can put this on OB without it being spam.

Top 100 Otaku Members.
| | Top 100 Otaku Members
Well with 4,000 members and my other top 100 band, I figured I could do a top 100 Otaku Member. Ofcourse 100 is too much for my lazy ass, so I'd need alot of help, or I'm gonna do like top 25 or something much easier for me. So if you wanna par-take in the quest to find the top 100 Otaku members, please inquire within lol (ie: comment or IM me or something) I would need help with the 100-26 members... figured I could do 25-1, so as to not give an unfair advantage to whomever may be helping me or anyone else. So Jimmy, you're helping me whether you like it or not lol. And anyone else.
I wouldlike to include this on OB, maybe, perhaps... somehow... not sure how... any suggestions are appreciated. Maybe it can be like Otaku Idol or something... or maybe the top 10 or 25 could be voted upon, although I think I already know what they'd be. So what the hell can I do?

Numbers 67 and 68 / Business
| | Top 100 Japanese Music Artists: Number 67 and 68
09/25 - 67. Akiko Wada
09/24 - 68. Moon Riders
I've been really busy as of late. Like I was working the past 3 nights.... and when I wasn't working at work, I was working at home doing homework or cleaning up my old room. So I haven't really had to to update this or comment on anyone elses... which sucks cause I like to read everyone elses. I'm about to go out now, so I probably won't even get to that till later.
I'm listening to traditional Japanese music right now. You know, the instrumental stuff with the shakuhachi and stuff. It's really soothing. I love the way this music sounds. I could honesty listen to this allllll day. And be totally relaxed and stress free.
I just finished my crappy History paper. Supposedly 500 words, I did about 800. So hurrah... blah... I really odn't like my classes. Well I do, I just don't like the World History teacher... she has no idea how to teach... it's so horrid. Everyone's gonna fail because she doesn't know jack shit about teaching. Take her last quiz for example... One girl said that she thought B or C could have been right answers, so being the genious my teacher is, she says "pick the one you think is the best".... UHH HELLO! STUPID FUCKING BITCH! This is HISTORY, not Whats your opinion class. History is based on facts fuck shit... not opinions... If it was what I thought was right it would have been right... She's so vague on her questions too.... "The Zhou dynasty... a) formed in 2000 BCE, b) Was near the Yangzi river, c) Is a Chinese dynasty, or d) Had several rullers".... EVERYONE OF THOSE IS RIGHT! How the FUCK am I supposed to pick the right answer... I'm gonna fail that class because of this shit.

Number 69 / Simpsons Quote
| | Top 100 Japanese Music Artists: Number 69
09/23 - 69. Smap SMAPU!!!!!!! I love Smap and so should you! They are liek the original Japanese boy band, just not... and Shingo is odd. Dressed in his 60's "mom" uniform singing OHAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!! Shingo Mama no Oha Rock! Anyway yeah... Smap is pretty cool.
Finally changed my SImpsons quote lol. It's been like 2 weeks. I picked a good one I think. Those prank phone calls to Moe are always funny.
Umm I have a paper due Friday, but it shouldn't take all that long to write... so I'm gonna finish doing some work on me room right now.

Video Game Review
| | I've decided to do a video game review. Seeing as how I don't play alot of video games, and if I do, they usually aren't new, this is a rarity, so take it and like it you dirty little bastards lol :p j/k
Game: WWE Raw 2
Make: THQ
Genere: Wrsetling/Fighting
Platform: XBox
Pros: 45 Characters to choose from
Tons of match types to play in. Hell in the cell, TLC, Cage, Street, Hardcore, etc.
Up to 4 players
Import your own entrance music
Lots of neat features for the story line mode.
Tons of weapons.
Character detail is amazing.
Many options to choose from while creating your own wrestler.
Cons: Tag Team matches suck.
Takes forever to create your own wrestler, unless you don't care what he does. Took me about 3-4 hours.
Sometimes the features in the story mode don't work as well as you think they would.
Friends and Enemies aren't always friends or enemies, the games doesn't do a very good job at keeping it that way.
Too much attention to detail, not alot to game play.
Overall: The game itself is ok. I've played it a few times, but nothing forever. I much prefer the earlier THQ wrsetling games for the N64, WCW vs. NWO for example... the game play was tons better, plus they had a hell of alot more wrestlers... they payed attention to the gameplay in those games as opposed to the detail, where in this case they did the opposite. Other than that the game is pretty good. But as with anything, it could deffinantly be better.
Rating: 4 penises.
In other news.
Spider-Man 2 is due out in July 2004 (blesch.... the first one sucked)...
Resident Evil: Apacalypse is due out in 2004 as well. Looks prettygood, but who knows.
Alien: Director's Cut some out in theaters again on Halloween... I'd like to see that again.
Camp, an indies film, is out. It has gay issues in it and is supposed to be pretty good. It's a "comedy" about "drama"... Most indie films are good.
Kill Bill Vol. I premieres October 10th. It's a Terentino film so it's probbaly gonna be weird as fuck. But it looks pretty good.
Kill Bill Volume II comes out in February... who knows...
And a movie called Homeroom, about a school shooting and what goes on after it. It's a drama, looks really good.
So yeah, off to work I go.

Number 70 and 71 / Missing
| | Top 100 Japanese Music Artists: Number 70 and 71
09/22 - 70. Tomoyasu Hotei Another guy that worked with Boowy. I wonder where Boowy will actually place.
09/21 - 71. Tokyo Ska Paradaise Orchestra There ya go all you ska fans. A Japanese ska band on the top 100. Hurrah.
Haven't updated in two days. No one missed me. I moved into my new room. Everything is clean. Lots of coolness. Umm... yeah thats it. I'm tired.
