   Sunfest
I recently attended the first day of London Ontario’s local Sunfest and must say, it was surprisingly quite good. I mean not that I was expecting it to be bad, it just the genre played just usually isn’t my cup of tea and I liked the bands quite a bit. There was this one Arabic band that was really good, made you feel like you were in the middle-east if you got really lost in it. They had a sitar too like George Harrison. There was also an electric double bass which I thought interesting enough to warrant mentioning, but in a different less remarkable band. But then Leigh had to go home as she’s fast tracking in summer school and had to study. So it was a little miserable after that. It started raining so I felt very cold and alone. But the next band was quite good. It was some sort of “fusion” as my aunt called it so it had all sorts of influences. There was a bag pipe and an accordion and one of those turn-tables as I believe they’re called. It was sort of like what Bjork would sound like if she did electronica and incorporated bag pipes and the harmonica. The main singer danced sort of like me, so to say, not very well. But there were lots of people dancing in the crowd which was quite amusing, Even more so, watching their dates slowly inch away form them. There were lots of lovers about most of which looked awkward and somewhat gaping or perhaps that’s just how I perceived them. I’m warning you boys and girls, boys are all the same; don’t fall for their dirty tricks.
