Survey of Japanese Music
Why do female singers use BOKU?!?!
That's a sign of disrepect for a female to use boku in japanese conversation. Only your 96 year old grandmother is supposed to get away with that. (I experienced this with a song from Inuyasha-Owarinai Yume).
Now Pizzicato Five, they know what they're doing. (I) is using the correct form. It's a funky retro Japanaese song with a french influence.
Malice Mizer is very interesting. They are supposedly J-Rock, but it's got a bunch of stuff like classical rhythms, sound effects, and come on, how could the voice of Gackt be scary?
And there's nothing like getting out of a mood by listening to the Hellsing OST. It starts off really jazzy but then it turns weird. It's quite amusing but still has a good beat. Go Ishii Yasushi!
And no one can beat Cowboy Bebop OST. Between the Jazz, Rock, and Instrumental it rocks my socks! A lot of good stuff appears in the movie! :-P
That's all for now.
Merry Christmas!
