I'm so glad this nightmare is over!!!!
Yes, the worst nightmare...
VOTING.
I'm so happy that I don't have to look, listen, or read any ads for a candidate for 4 more years.
Since I'm not recognized in the very precint I just voted in, I'm not eligible to vote in local campaigns anymore...so that's one headache less than usual. Even if I could, why would I? I don't know anything about anyone around here lol.
Yes, it is so very sad. I'll get over it though.
I only spent 30-45 minutes in line...that's fast compared to people in Florida and so forth.
There really was a huge shortage of volunteers. I would have volunteered if I didn't have to vote. But those people were confusing me as well as the rest of the voters, so I doubt I would have been any better. I know volunteers take a class or two about the voting setup, etc...but the ones where I went seemed like someone kidnapped them from their homes and shoved them in front of the voting machines.
I was so thankful to be done that I went shopping afterwards. LOL Nothing like my hard earned dollars at work.
I have to say...I hated all of the presidential ads.. Didn't those two have something better to do than to waste much needed money? Oh wait..I guess not.
My favorite ad is the one for our Senate. Citizens for a strong Senate paid for it... it showed a couple holding a picture of one of the runners for the senate and asking if anyone has seen him since he missed so many votes in congress (300 many). It was the funniest one I have ever seen.
I plan on not reading the newspaper or watching the news for a couple of days.
I am consoling myself to the fact that if a certain person wins, they are only allowed 2 terms as prez.
I finally looked up Super milk-chan on AdultSwim.com. The show still seems weird to me lol..but whatever. I need to see it to know it.
I don't plan on watching 24 showings of the same Harvey Birdman episode..but I will record one of them, since I have to work tomorrow.
That's about it...just a long, voting rage/road rage filled day.
My nephew's still in the hospital.
And the one silver lining is still thoughts of Richard Cox.
Maybe someone should write to him to get him to write to me to get me to stop drooling over him. *dreamy sigh*
Take care everyone...
Ciao,
Pat-rice (that's what they called me way back in the 2nd grade)
