Not Single
Today Polaris has to announce that he is no longer avalable... ie: not single.
This poem is for his girlfriend, wherever and whoever she is ;-) Polaris is not saying, and nor is she. So here's the poem:
With All My Heart
I can take you to places you’ve never been
I can help you cross your former boundaries
I can protect you from all vice and all sin
I can be more than all the sanctuaries
I love you with all my heart
I swear it on all my years
No force can pull us apart
No force can drive us into tears
We know their minds have their own obscene view
That see us as only their own object
Together we will discover something new
That the heart sees us as its treasured subject
I love you with all my heart
I swear it on all my days
No force can pull us apart
No force can deny what life portrays
In this world, I encountered no compromise
I’ve felt all the staggering pain
I’ve heard all the heart-throbbing lies
I wish to prevent our seeing this again
I love you with all my heart
I swear it on all my hours
No force can pull us apart
No force can destroy what is ours
Why I always saw you dancing there
Why I wasn’t meant for heaven above
Why the sun is constantly caught in your hair
Why I once feared any ideas of love
I love you with all my heart
I swear it on every second
No force can pull us apart
No force can change what fate beckoned
I Love You With All My Heart
I Swear It on all my Life
No Force Can Pull us Apart
No Force Can Mock Juliet’s Knife
Polaris.

Darkness Surrounds
An older poem Polaris had written a while back:
Darkness Surrounds
The world is changed
The peoples lose faith
So this night ranged
As a corrupt Wraith
There is no sight
Of the Golden Times
Where there is light
And the bell that chimes
Darkness Surrounds
As we have no clue
What scorched these grounds
Why death remains true
Yet beyond loss
A faint glow exists
We fail to cross
As the hope resists
Look in thy heart
Look to thy prowess
If thou shan’t start
Then fall to darkness
Follow the light
Thus find the way
Evade the blight
And thou should not sway
Polaris

A Happy Mid-Week Day
It is 4:04pm, and Polaris is quite happy, very happy in fact. It shall be stated why, but first Polaris has to lay down a lingering thought:
In a previous post, it was described that you are either Polaris's greatest friend, or his greatest enemy. Well, in the case of the latter, two situations branch from it: either you get rid of him, or he gets rid of you.
This is what Polaris beleives, there is no middle-ground; you are either in his territory or out of it. You therefore either claim this territory for yourself by getting rid of Polaris and never seeing him again.
Or, in the other case, Polaris gets rid of you. This usually happens to enemies, or friends who express hostility. But Polaris is not content with merely forcing the person out of his territory, oh no. He causes as much pain as possible, as much chaos as possible, his allies aid him, and then Polaris deals the finishing blow to the very heart.
With that out of the way, in comes the joy.
It may please you to know that just a night before, Polaris approached his father, with whom he was engaged in a violent feaud, and made amends. This is the nature of Polaris; peacemaking and optimistic provided the second party is accepting. And his father ws accepting, and they are in the best of terms once again, much to the releif of the rest of the family and his friends.
Polaris's new PC, the specifications of which were stated in an even earlier post, will be in his possession at 9:00am on Friday, which causes Polaris much glee and joy at last after 5 days of horror.
Also, in university life, Polaris is getting more and more involved. Applying as a student assistant is now a prioroty for Polaris; assisting a teacher and getting more in touch with the universtiy seemed to be its own reward. But that was not all; Polaris was shocked and pleased to discover that being a student assistant subtracts a substantial amount from the tuition fees he needs to pay per semister. Even more jovial was Polaris when his father offered to give him the amount subtracted!
Polaris is, at last and after a long and dreadful week... Happy

Enemies Never Last
It is 2:54pm, Polaris is tired and his back aches. Lesson of the day: Never sit on a wooden chair for 3 hours straight reading and drinking coffee, it's not good for your back.
Another thing that's probably not good for your health is being on Polaris's bad side. It takes a whole lot to get on the bad side of someone like Polaris, who is kind, trustworthy, optimistic, and cares about his friends individually. Polaris is the kind of person who relies on perfection and balance. Hence one of his ideas is "Your'e either my perfect friend or my perfect enemy within 3 days of meeting me. It is very difficult, though not impossible, to shift from one status to the other"
Polaris's friends last very long; he loves all his friends individually and cares for them, helps them long, has a good laugh with them, discuss problems, the whole package. Polaris's enemies, however, do not last long, in any way. They are either converted to a friend, or... well... if I told you I'd have to kill you XD... hah... joke. Let's just say, it's not nice to be hated by Polaris.
And why would you want to be hated by Polaris? You'll have to work really hard to reach the status of "enemy", and frankly, there's no cause for it. So just stick together, and let's all be happy alright?
Polaris looks up at the TV; some show about leopards... Polaris likes cats, of any kind really. Kittens in particular are a weakness to him, he loves them, and would rip apart anyone who hurts a kitten and feed their entrails to the fish, then kill and cook the fish, then send them on a rocket to the moon, then blow up the moon, then gather se subsequent space dust and burn it, then take the ashes and put it in a box, then put that box in another box, and mail the box to the mole-people, who eat ash for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, again and again and again...
... Polaris laughs; he never went on like that before, quite embarrassing. At any rate, looking at his fat book, Polaris realises he has 4 more Shakespeare poems to analyze.
Quote of the day: "Mistakes are a way to learn, but they are also a way to die."
It's 3:09pm, and Polaris grabs his pencil and gets back to analyzing.

Three Days
Polaris sits alone in his still dark room. The shutters are still closed, preventing sunlight from entering, the door closed, but the TV is on. Polaris was still in bed, it's been a restless night and he was very tired, in fact, the past three days have been restless.
Polaris's father has never been the type to sit down and reason with anyone, nor even listen to reason. Polaris thus does what he says, no matter how unreasonable it may be, be it a specific time of the day to chat, or a constant nagging to do better in university. All of a sudden, as Polaris was doing research online, all hell broke loose.
Polaris's father wrongly accused him of playing, and led to a long speech of how 82% on a midterm exam was not enough, how Polaris is going to live in the streets and get eaten by people, all that kind of nonsense in a shouting tone. Polaris shouted back with all his raging heart for the first time, and the two of them thundered on. Eventually, Polaris had his dad's hands on his throat, choking him. And thus Polaris hit his father for the first time ever.
The whole episode continued, and it was not something Polaris was used to. Now after two days, there is only silence; Polaris and his father are nor speaking to each other, not even looking at each other. Polaris doesn't mind it, on the contrary, he likes it.
It's 11:25am and Polaris is still tired. Quite depressed and easily angered now, he needs some reassurance.

Tuesday's A Bit Too Far
Polaris could really be better, and for about an entire week he will continue to feel so.
I's 12:20pm and Polaris had just returned from his last university class of the day, having received his midterm result: a shining glorious 88%. Earlier this morning the technician came along and took Polaris's computer in order to remove the only needed component, a brand new GeForce 7600GS, and install it onto the new one.
What Polaris didn't know, and was mad as hell to find out, was that it's going to take till next Tuesday! Turns out the technician is fresh out of Core 2 Duo CPUs and the next shipment isn't till Monday, which completely and TOTALLY SUCKS. Now Polaris has to sit computerless and gameless all weekend... one might as well steal Polaris's soul.

The Night
It's 11:17pm, and Polaris might just die of boredom. There he sits, both feet on the chair, eyes half-closed, listening to the TV behind him and giant robots clashed with prehestoric alien beasts. Polaris had just finished from a frantic and fantastic session of Unreal Tournament 2004, a 3 year-old videogame that still rocks till this very day, especially with the new mods he downloaded.
Living in Beirut is pretty dull; nothing ever changes, people go on with their lives like any other day, ignoring each other, smelling bad, the usual. The only time someone stops to talk to Polaris would be to take cheap statistics or surveys about the political situation. The conversation always goes like this:
Person: "Hello sir, can I talk to you for a second?"
Me: "Of course you can, you got a tongue don't you?"
Person: "...yes sir, but I'd like to talk to you about the political status of the country-"
Me: "Sure go ahead and talk, but I ain't gonna listen to it."
At which point the person usually buggers off and Polaris keeps walking. Sure that may be a bit rude, to say such things, but so is a smelly obnixious person who forces someone to take a survey.
Polaris scratches the itch he has on his right arm and cracks his knuckles. He'd just finished with a drawing he'd been working on... well, not exactly finished, still needs some shading and final touches. Polaris would appreciate opinions though.
Actually, this is a character from a book Polaris has been desperately trying to find time to write. At any rate, Polaris sighs and checks the time. 11:27pm. Still not much to do, still boredom seeps in... at least until Polaris remembers the incident where he was doing some rennovation along with some friends from a University extracurricular club. They were digging a bit of ground to level it, and one of Polaris's friends, a female about his age, lifted the shovel above and accidentally hit the Rev. (the guy in charge) on the head.
The laughter shared by all the participants! The Rev. was ok and unhurt apart from a bump, but the girl felt so awful. We called her "Rev. Killer" from there on in.
