I'm sick of these muthuhfuckin' snakes on this muthuhfuckin' page
08/21/2006
12.19 AM
I started college last Wednesday. To put it bluntly, I love it. Two classes a day, except for Thursdays: I have a lab after lunch. I've finally given my mind somewhat of a challenge, and it feels good to accomplish my academic goals. I've already met quite a few cool people, and acquired a friend or two. My favorite part of it all is that my classes don't start until later in the morning: 10am on M,W,F, and 8:30am T,TR.
I say all these good thing only after 3 days of classes, but I am honestly loving my experience thus far. The only thing I'm not enjoying is my Math Professor, after only 2 classes I can already tell he can't teach worth a shit. But thankfully, math is my strong point, and I'm sure I can figure out everything he throws at me (especially since I took this same course in high school XD).
As far as my other professors, they're all cool. My favorite of them has got to be my Microeconomics teacher. Now he's a character.
In other news, last weekend I bought a Xbox 360. It is absoutely amazing. I love that thing. I bought that game Dead Rising along with it. Killing zombies seems to be my forte. I couldn't even start ranting if I wanted to, I need to get to sleep.
And in other, other news, I'm addicted to Steely Dan. They're my second favorite band, right behind, you guessed it, The Beatuhls.
And in other, other, other news; I saw Snakes On A Plane Friday. Amazing. Truly, amazing. When I got in my car afterwards with my friends, I thought a snake was gonna jump out of nowhere; there were just that many muthuhfuckin' snakes on that muthuhfuckin' plane.
Aaaaaand my headache finally went away, so I think I'm going to take advantage of this moment and hop in bed. Later folks.
Later,
Josh

Steely Dan is amazing
08/05/2006
12.53 AM
The Steely Dan concert was absolutely mindblowing. My only regret is that I didn't pick up a t-shirt.
If you've never heard any of the Dan, I highly suggest you pick up an album. Any will do, but I suggest their '77 "Album of the Year" award winner, Aja. It's great.
Catch'ya later.

Uhh, I don't have a lot to say, nor do I feel like saying a lot.
I'm leaving for my friend's house in South Carolina in a few minutes here. We're gonna head down to Atlanta and catch a Steely Dan concert on Monday. Awesome. Later.

My Way
07/22/2006
12:11 AM
Shit guys, it's been a while since my last post. Uhh.... my bad? XD
Just got back from seeing Clerks II, which is a great movie. I've only seen a handfull of films that recieved an ovation in the theater, and Clerks II was one of them. Hahaha, it was so f'king hilarious. You've got my reccomendation folks.
Yeahhh, soooo, not a whole lot's been going on. Just a lot of working on the weekdays and chillin' on the weekends.
Just a bit of news: I just got accepted into the college I wanted to go to, and I spent a few hours today getting my financial aid together and doing all the little things on campus to get my ass in for good. That acceptance and financial aid awards letters sure took a whole lot of weight off of my shoulders. Therefore, I'm in a pretty good mood at the moment folks.
Nw, I'm going to sleep, I'll be back... next month?
Testicles. That is all.

Josh

Every Planet We Reach Is Dead
06/30/2006
12.31 PM
Good news, the swelling's gone down about 95%. It's hardly noticeable, but somewhat visible. I went to the doctor yesterday, and he said that since the swelling went down this fast that it's mostly likely just an infection and not the mumps. We won't know for sure until next week when we get my test results back from the state health department. Pssh, no fuckin mumps here.
Anyways, back to work. Enjoy the music. It's one of the few good songs from Demon Days without some horrible rapping. But I still like it.

Josh

I'm the man to beat
06/27/2006
9.18 AM
Shit. I woke up at about 6 this morning, and the left side of my jaw was swollen like fucking crazy. It was bothering me yesterday, but I just took some Ibuprofen and thought no more about it. Well, now it's kind of noticeable. At least I have a good sense of humor about it, I look fucking horrible XD
I'm heading to the doctor in a few after my shower. Hopefully this is just an occasion where he gives me some drugs and I get the hell out of there. No needles involved. Or the word hospital *shudders* Ugh. Can't stand that place. I'll update you all later. Hopefully this won't be like the last time I went to the doctor with a bad problem and he rushed me off to the hospital XD
I put up a cool live track from the Los Lonely Boys. It's my favorite track on their concert DVD. Henry (guitarist) plays a pretty good harmonica. Haha, these guys are one of the few new bands that actually play music. Enough of my asshole opinion XD
Off to the doctor.
[Update 12:51 PM]
Saw the doctor. He says either I have a bacterial infection in one of my glands, or I have the mumps.
Let's see.. I had blood drawn, I pissed in a cup, and I talked with a lady from the Health Dept. about where I've been recently. It seems there's an outbreak in the Midwest. Whee, I get to go back Thursday! -__-

New Genious
06/26/2006
1.51 PM
No work today and tomorrow, hell yes. And to top it off, my best bud's supposed to be back in town 'til the 3rd! Sweet
Dudes, I saw Nacho Libre on Friday. I went in thinking it was going to be bad, according to reviews and word of mouth, but boy was I wrong. Haha, it was a great fucking movie. I laughed throughout the entire thing, it was just my kind of comedy. That's one movie I actually wouldn't mind buying the DVD to and watching again and again. I suggest it to you all, totally.
I put up an old Gorillaz song for today. I've been listening to their old, self-titled album a lot lately, and this is probably my favorite song from it. Quite a change from Aretha Franklin XD I love it all.
Later cats,
Josh

T.G.I.F.
06/23/2006
12.44 AM
Thank God it's Friday. That's about all I have to say.
Today's song is from the lovely Aretha Franklin (she has one of the most beautiful singing voices), and features my favorite guitarist of all time, Duane Allman. This song doesn't really showcase his talent, but it's still a favorite of mine.
Have a good one, y'all.
Later,
Josh
