No more vacation....lol
Greetings my fellow Otaku people! I hope you all are doing well: from reading many of your posts last night, most of you are doing all right. That's good. ^_^

Well, I'm actually back for good, that is, vacation-wise (at least, I think so...nothing has come up yet). New York was so cool to visit. A 3-day weekend was not enough to visit everywhere, so that just means I have to go back sometime soon! ^^ Heck, half the time we wasted by getting lost, making wrong turns, nearly getting hit by traffic, etc. lol

Higlights from my trip:
1.) Visited Ground Zero and even went into the World Trade Center (there are 6 more WTC buildings coming)
2.) Went on top of the Empire State Building (it was soooo cold up there!)
3.) Rode on the subways (it wasn't as creepy as I thought...Hollywood...lol)
4.) Visited Time Square (but only for a short time)
5.) Took time in Chinatown and Little Italy (ate pizza at Lombardi's)
6.) Saw this dude in only his whity-tighties with a white cowboy hat, singing with a white guitar: a red, white, and blue half-naked cowboy (bizzare...O_o)

So those are just a few of the cool/strange things I encountered during my trip. ^_^

Other than that, nothing new is happening. School is the same as well as work. Thus ends my mediocre life. I'll try to get some pics up in the not-too-distant future. Well, that's a wrap: take care everyone. I'll try to get around to your sites later. (n_n)

Hey everyone! Man, it seems I was able to get to a lot of people's sites tonight. I'm pretty happy about that, since I get to see how you all are doing!

Oh yeah, thanks so much for your, uh, answers concerning my Q. yesterday. *laughs and blushes* You all had some pretty, how should I say this nicely, interesting pieces of advice. I especially appreciate the one about "banging myself in the head with a frying pan." That was good...although I most definitely won't be doing that! lol

Oh, and I also noticed how some of you all made mention, in some way or another, of my getting paid for my work. Don't get me wrong: I really enjoy my job, despite its tedious moments. Heck, I'm just a lowly intern. But I must say, the pay is very nice ($13.00/hr), plus I had a bonus too. *grins*

So to be brief, nothing much really happened today. I went to work, stared a monitor for nearly 6-7 hours doing more meticulous work, and went home to do homework and pack for NY (although I have yet to do either of the latter two...lol). I hope your days were much more eventful than mine. lol

*sighs* Well, I must be off to procrastina- I mean to do my homework and finish...er...start packing for another trip. I'm going to miss you all, and so I hope you all have a great weekend! Take care and I'll be back soon.

Ahhhh... It feels good putting up another post. I truly missed the Otaku.

Well, nothing much happened today. College has been going well. I'm only taking 11 credit hours this semester, since I'm working part-time as well.
Speaking of work, did I mention that I still work at that coal corporation that I started in the summer. Well, I am. I'm still considered an intern, which is fine by me. However, being an intern means you can get the most tedious and lowly of jobs. For instance, yesterday I spent ..*counts on fingers*... nearly 10 hours copying and binding these training manuals. Under normal conditions, I wouldn't have skipped lunch..well yes I would...and stay overtime. But the lady needed them by Wednesday, so what could I do? It didn't bother me much. ^_^ But man, talk about tedious and tiring. lol
Oh, and ya know what? That Abercrombie and Fitch model I had told you about (look around in My Archives) - well... I can't stop thinking about him!!! *smacks head* lol He's a real nice fellow (and not too old too...heehee) and likes to joke around and stuff.
*begins to blush* GOSH! Question of the Day (for Me): What can I do to get him off my mind?!? (O_O)

Okay then, enough of my girlish whatever-you-call-its... How have you all been? Thanks so much for your advice about New York. I'm really going to look forward going there. I hope I can pick up some anime or something. I'm also sure I'll be picked on for liking anime by my fellow compadres (friends...in Spanish). Oh well, right? Well, you all take care. I'll try to visit some sites while I'm on. To those I don't make it to, I do apologize in advance. TTFN

   Yay, I'm back!!
Well, I'm back from Arizona! Omygosh...it was so nice there. Compared to Maryland's weather, AZ's weather was hot yet dry, just as people say it is. I had a great time there: it was a much needed vacation...although some folks at work are makin' fun of me (all in good fun though). lol

Well, I guess I'll be getting more jokes when they hear I'm going to NYC too. Ahh...yes, I'm looking forward to that time as well. I've never been to New York, so I can't wait to go on this "excursion" this upcoming Friday. (I'll only be there from Friday to Sunday.)

Hey, speaking of NY, I heard from my last post that there were some of you all who had already been there. Do you all have any suggestions as to what I should (or should not) do there? I look forward to hear what you all have to say. Thanks so much and take care! (n_n)

Greetings and deepest salutations, my fellow Otaku people! So much has happened over the past month or so. I ask for your forgiveness once again for not being around for so long. (T_T) I truly don't deserve buddies like I have here. *nods and hugs* I hope you all have been doing well for the past month or so.

If you all don't mind, I'll recap on some "highlights":

1. Well, I'm continuing my internship at that coal company: I was drafted at the last minute by another department to give them a helping hand. It's ok, but I do miss the other department I initially started out with.
2. My grandfather had a brief season in the hospital: he suffers congestive heart disease (It's when your body doesn't give rid of fluids as it should: thus those fluids build up, and you begin to "drown," in a sense, in your bodily fluids).
3. I also started college, but I'm only doing 11 credits. I'm enjoying my classes, which makes things a whole lot better than they could have been.
4. I'll be going to Arizona tomorrow up through next Sunday. Additionally, I might be going to NYC that following week. Yes, I know: that means I'll be gone again...sorry.

So, those are only several "highlights," if you will, of my life this past month or so since I've been on. I truly hope you all have had a much more eventful life. Take care my good buddies!

Forgive me everyon! I hope you all are doing quite well. I do apologize for not coming by your sites in such a long time. (T_T) Things have been quite busy lately: nevertheless, I do hope to drop by soon.

Take care my fellow O members!

   YAY!
Whoohoo! That presentation thing is OVER!!! Omgosh...I am so relieved. I still feel the terrifying thrill when I remember those long minutes of my part. *shivers* Fortunately, it did go well for all of us. I stuttered somewhat, but heck - it's done! *laughs like a mad man* Ok, ok...calm down, Sarah.

I was really happy to hear that the people that were with us (like 14 people when there was originally supposed to be 7) thought we did a great job, considering we had no BI or IT background. I guessed we convinced the crowd! *smiles* They, or should I say, the VP would like us to come back next year. I very well might...as long as I don't have to present any more... ^_^

After the presentation, we three interns headed off to the Cheesecake Factory to make some reservations of some sort. We got there at 4:30, and it wasn't until around 6 that everyone got there and was seated. Oh well - the food was really good. We ordered a ton of appetizers, had our entree, and enjoyed dessert (I had the Goblet of Strawberries for dessert! lol Cheesecake is too rich for me.)

Overall, it was a really nice time. We got to know one of the Big People some more, a side of him I thought we'd never see (it could have been all the drinks he imbibed). *heh* Oh yeah - that Big Guy person told us that he had won $104,000 on that Wheel of Fortune game show. We're going to watch the video today at work (as a "going-away" present, I guess, for the other 2 interns: I'm staying 1 more week and they're going to work me like a dog!).

Ok, real quick: this was a riddle of sorts that the Big Guy asked us. It goes like this (see if you can solve it):

You have 9 balls, 8 of which weigh the same. Given a measuring scale, what is the least number of tries you can use in order to find the "odd" ball? And how so?

Tricky tricky... *rubs hands together* Remind me, and I'll tell ya tomorrow! Later and take care!

   Presentation
EGAD! Tomorrow's our big presentation! *gasps* Jeepers....I feel so ...I dunno... unprepared! *laughs nervously* I think I'm so anxious, I've got my stomach acting up on me. I feel queezy (sp?). Keep me in your prayers! O_O

Heh. The funny thing is is that they had originally had 7 people (the VP and 6 other members). Today, they invited 7 more people...including "Mister Dreamy" guy I made mention of yesterday... *smacks head*

Speaking of that guy...yeah, he's really nice. Heh. He's the one who gave me that inside scoop about that fark.com website. In fact, I heard that he used to be an Abercrombie & Fitch model.... *grins*

*snaps back into reality* I don't want to look like a dork tomorrow! *smacks face* NO! I need to stop giving into fear and anxiety! I'm just going to do my best tomorrow, and whatever happens will happen! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Well, I was able to visit people's sites today. A lot happens in the course of one week! You all are really great people: the "cream of the crop" to me! Take care and have a great rest of the night (and tomorrow!). Later!

Warning: Long post - don't read it all if you don't want too.
Ok...Yeah...I haven't been around since *looks at site* last Tuesday... *double takes* Whoa! I haven't been around for a long time. In a way, maybe that's a good thing... I don't want this Otaku to become my LIFE...if that makes any sense to anyone out there.

However, I do apologize for not being around in such a long time. Things have been more hectic than usual around here. First of all, when the other girls at work were gone, people still kept me fairly busy. In fact, it was a pretty interesting week last week... *blushes* Let's just say there is a nice fellow there...heehee
So work - yes! - work has been all right. Our big presentation is Thursday, and we're going to do a dry run before one of the Big People. lol What fun that will be... At least they're going to take us out to the Cheesecake Factory! (What should I get?)

Also last week, a friend of mine got into a terrible car accident. Although the car was totalled, my friend and her child weren't even scratched! Praise God!! She tried to get out of the way from this sheet metal that fell out of a truck. *shakes head* That would've been messy either way, but at least she's all right, though a bit sore.

Random Question:
Speaking of driving, for all of those that drive, what would say about yourself? Are you a considerate driver?
Something that erks (sp?) me is how disrespectful drivers can be. I always wave a "Thank You" whether or not people are considerate to me (and wave back). *sighs*

Well, you all take care. I hope to catch up (again) with you all. See ya! ^_^

Oh yeah, I'm also going to Arizon in September for a whole week! *whoohoo!* And I also bought a 120 pack of Prismacolor pencils with a bonus pack. *sighs* Now I owe my dad half a paycheck...lol All righty - now I'll say Sayonara!

Hey everyone! How have you all been? I stayed up until midnight last night (today?) catching up on people. Just when you think you've gotten most people, hours later more update. ^_^

Work this week has been interesting. Since the other girls aren't here this week, I thought things would be boring. Fortunately, people have been keeping me busy by giving me tedious work. I mean, extremely tedious work: all of these numbers and names have conglomerated into one big, fat blob of BLAH in my head!
It's not that bad though. I've gotten to meet some more folks who are really nice. One guy even gave me a site to go to when I have down time, fark.com. It's a site with interesting and sometimes very funny/strange news articles. LordSesshomaru, a friend of mine, uses some of these articles in his "Daily Post," so you all should visit him, if you haven't already. ^_^

Oops! It's time to go to lunch at the Marriot Hotel! *2 hours later*

Omygosh...I wasn't expecting to be that long... O_O Guess I'll just have to work a bit longer today. *sighs* It was good food though! *yummy*

Before you all leave, I just have a quick quesiton:

Would you make a great ninja? Why or why not?

Me: No, my joints pop everywhere and I'm too clumsy...lol

Take care every one, and I hope to see ya around. ^_^
