Hi all! I hope your day has gone well. Mine sure did. ^_^
Today, we celebrated my friend's birthday, who has just turned 18, so that's pretty special. We celebrated his birthday at this park area where we played basketball and tennis. But man, could the weather be any hotter? Crikey! lol
Tonight, I and a bunch of other buddies will be going over to a friend's house and watching Benchwarmers. Have any you all seen it? I've heard that it's a pretty good movie. ^_^
Well, that's pretty much it. I hope you all have a great rest of the night. Take care!

I cannot express to you how glad I am that today is Friday! I don't know why, but I've really been looking forward to this weekend. ^_^ I guess it's just that I'll be done with this summer job very soon, even though it's not that bad. heehee
Speaking of my job, I'll be all by myself since the other 2 interns will be gone for the whole week. Hmmm... To some degree I am saddened by their absence, yet the other side of me says "Yay!" You have no idea what they're like, nor will I go into any detail...
Oh, another question I have for you all:
Do you all have any advice for giving presentations, that is, speaking in front of people? I'd appreciate any input! *nods*
And another thing, please answer those questions from yesterday's post, especially number 3, I think, about the buttons. Well, I'll do my best to get to people's sites (after doing the grocery shopping...whoopty-doo!). Take care! ^_^

Late post...sorry everyone!
Hey everyone! I just want to say that I appreciate everyone who came by and welcomed me back. Sorry if that sounded redundant. ^_^
I truly hope you all have been doing well. From what I saw, many of you have done some outstanding changes to your sites - looking good!
Well, nothing astounding happened to me during my time off. *shrugs* Oh well! Hmmmm - to make things more "interesting," I'll ask a few questions:
1. How did you first come to the Otaku? Were you relayed by a friend or something?
2. What do you do when you're off the computer (or off the Otaku)?
3. Would it be all right if I put up your buttons on my site? I'd like to get your say on it first. (And how do you make buttons?)
4. What's the weirdest anime you've ever seen?
5. Since I'm a music major, I'm curious as to which anime do you think has great music (lyrics or instrumental)?
6. Do you have any siblings? If so, how many?
7. And finally, do you talk to yourself? lol Seriously...I'm really curious... (I do at times...)
Well, sorry this post is so lame. heh Oh, maybe I should show this little doodle I did: it's about the time I and the other 2 interns gave our first presentation...scary... *yawns* Well, I'll see ya around. Take care! ^_^

I'm Back!
Just wanted to let you know that I'm alive and well! *hugs* As for the whole computer fast - it was hard and, let's just say, not the most successful yet not an utter failure!! *ahem*
I hope you all have been doing very well! Things on my side have been, overall, ok, that is, nothing grand and out of the ordinary. A few eventful things, but I'll share those some other time. *looks at stats* Funny, it seems as though people still dropped by despite my absence. I hope they enjoyed their stay...whoever they were. ^_^

Computer Fast
Hi all! I've missed you for the last few days, and unfortunately I will have to see you later in a few more days as well (more like a week or so). Lately, I've found myself just too caught up with the computer, spending too much time and not using time wisely. *shakes head* It's really my fault for not being disciplined: therefore, I have decided to fast my computer time for a week! Today maybe my last time I come visit until next Monday, soooooo.... we'll see how it goes! T_T I'll miss you all the next several days, but this will be good for me (and maybe even my eyes...lol). Take care!

Creepy....or is it?
Hmmm...I looked at my current stats... I have 666 total visits. Does that mean anything? Nah...I'm not superstitious like that...teehee... XD
I hope you all noticed that I changed my theme here: Metroid. Do you all like it? Although I'm not into that "Girl Power!" thing, I always liked Samus Aran for some reason...she has a cool gun arm!! XD Well, I'll update later. Hope to visit your sites later on! Take care!!

A new season approaches...
Hey everyone! I'm glad you all liked those pics. One, Jack Sparrow is an awesome character: Johnny Depp played that role very well. Two, I agree with you people: we did look pretty in our pink dresses (I personally don't like pink). heeheehee *grins*
Well, anyway, a change - right! I think I've had Vincent up for quite a while, so maybe it's time for something new. I'm open for any suggestions for my theme, yet I want to have a theme that doesn't get used a lot (at least I haven't seen lately). FLCL or something, you know? So please give me some feedback! ^_^
Since I have nothing else to say about today, I'd like to share some stuff I've gotten in recent e-mails. I hope you enjoy!
Subject: They walk among us!
Some guy bought a new fridge for his house. To get rid of his old, still working fridge, he put it in his front yard and hung a sign on it saying: "Free to good home. You want it, you take it". For three days the fridge sat there without even one person looking twice at it. He eventually decided that people were too untrusting of this deal. It looked to good to be true, so he changed the sign to read: "Fridge for sale $50". The next day someone stole it.
Caution!......................They Walk Among Us
I used to work in technical support for a 24/7 call center. One day I got a call from an individual who asked what hours the call center was open. I told him, "The number you dialed is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week." He responded, "Is that Eastern or Pacific time?" Wanting to end the call quickly, I said, "Uh, Pacific."
....They Walk Among Us!
My colleague and I were eating our lunch in our cafeteria, when we overheard one of the administrative assistants talking about the sunburn she got on her weekend drive to the shore. She drove down in a convertible, but "didn't think she'd get sunburned because the car was moving." *smacks head*
....They Walk Among Us!
My sister has a lifesaving tool in her car that’s designed to cut through a seat belt if she gets trapped. She keeps it in the trunk.
....They Walk Among Us!
I was hanging out with a friend when we saw a woman with a nose ring attached to an earring by a chain. My friend said, "Wouldn't the chain rip out every time she turned her head?" I explained that a person's nose and ear remain the same distance apart no matter which way the head is turned.
....They Walk Among Us!
While working at a Pizza Parlor I observed a man ordering a small pizza to go. He appeared to be alone and the cook asked him if he would like it cut into 4 pieces or 6. He thought about it for some time before responding. "Just cut it into 4 pieces; I don't think I'm hungry enough to eat 6 pieces. >_<
....Yep, They Walk Among Us too.
They walk among us and reproduce!!!!! How scary is that?
Oh, real quick - here's a blonde joke:
A young blonde was on vacation and driving through the Everglades. She wanted to take home a pair of genuine alligator shoes in the worst way, but was very reluctant to pay the high prices the local vendors were asking.
After becoming very frustrated with the "no haggle on prices" attitude of one of the shopkeepers, the blonde shouted, "Well then, maybe I'll just go out and catch my own alligator, so I can get a pair of shoes for free!" The shopkeeper said with a sly, knowing smile, "Little lady, just go and give it a try!"
The blonde headed out toward the swamps, determined to catch an alligator.
Later in the day, as the shopkeeper is driving home, he pulls over to the side of the levee where he spots that same young woman standing waist- deep in the murky bayou water, shotgun in hand. Just then, he spots a huge 9-foot gator swimming rapidly toward her. With lightning speed, she takes aim, fires - BAM! - kills the creature and hauls it onto the slimy bank of the swamp. Lying nearby were 7 more of the dead creatures, all lying on their backs.
The shopkeeper stood on the bank, watching in silent amazement. The blonde struggled and flipped the gator onto its back. Rolling her eyes heavenward and screaming in great frustration, she shouts out "DARN...THIS ONE'S BAREFOOT TOO!"
I love blonde jokes...teehee...XP

Yes, I am still alive!...hehehe
How have you all been? I missed you guys and gals this past weekend. ^_^ Let me just recap on what had happened lately.
Friday's Highlights
Friday was cool. As you all know, I had been preparing for the wedding that was to be the day after. So around 11:30-ish, I left work to go with my buddies to get my nails and feet done. Fortunately, the person working on me didn't get a kick in the face, although I was laughing tremendously as he was scrubbing my feet. heehee...
Later that night, I went out with my parents and other friends to go see Pirates of the Caribbean 2. We went to eat at Ruby Tuesdays first before we headed over to the theatre across the street. I was a bit anxious because my dad had already gotten tickets for everyone else but me. (I told him not to because I didn't know if I'd make it - but I did!) Well, we're in the theatre when lo and behold the tickets for our show were sold out. T_T I was upset and didn't know what to do. Fortunately my mom went to ask this guy if I could just go in, and he said "Yes"! I was so happy: I saved money and got to see the movie for free! Thanks mom! ^_^
Saturday's Highlights
*sings "Here comes the bride...* Today was the big day! Whoohoo! The wedding ceremony was to start around 1 o'clock in the afternoon. In the meantime, everything was rush, rush, rush for the bride and the bride's maids. teehee You know guys: shave a bit, comb your hair, and put on your tux, and you're good to go. Not for us girlies! XP
Well, overall, everything went fantastic. The ceremony was so precious, and I felt honored to be there. I loved hearing their exchange of vows: they were so sweet and sincere, and the vows themselves were something for me to be mindful of myself. ^_^
*Note: I'm that little Asian girly on the end. And from left to right, there's: me, Kendra, Julianna (the maid of honor), Pastor Jimmy, his wife April, Julia, Emily, and Chrissy. ^_^

Ahhhh....it's a lovely, cloudy day where I am, and it's pretty chilly. *brrrr - shivers*
Anywho, the next few days should be nice and busy. Can you believe it? Only *counts on fingers* 3 more days until the wedding! Everything has been falling into place smoothly, so that's a relief. Tonight, we're going to have a rehearsal for the wedding. That should be interesting...heehee. Later, we're going to hold a bachelorette's party for April, while the fella hold one for the bachelor. ^_^ That'll be fun.
Tomorrow, we girls will be going out to get our pedicures and manicures. *wiggles toes* I've never had either done before, but I have heard they're very soothing. heehee *ponders* I'm pretty ticklish too hehehe so let's hope I don't kick my pedicure person by accident - that would be bad! O_O Sorry fellows for all the "girl talk." lol
Work isn't progressing anywhere. Doing research for 8 hours is really hard, especially when you desire guidance, but there is none to guide! T_T That makes work difficult, so we actually do some on-line crosswords or something. I was doing Yahoo Questions, and one of the dumbest questions I've come across goes something like this:
"How long can my daughter leave her 3 month old child in the car while she goes shopping? She said she would turn on the AC when it gets warm. The baby just keeps on spitting up on her, which makes shopping difficult. etc. etc. etc."
*deadly glare* Woman, you and your daughter are idiots!
Ok then: enough of that - well, I hope to visit more sites later. You all take care! ~_0

Question
Hey, I was wondering if any of you all know of any good html tutorials. I know the Otaku advertises the FounderWeb.com tutorial, but I was wondering if there were any other good ones out there. If so, please help me out. Thanks for your time. ^_^ (And please comment on yesterday's post - thanks!).
