Where does time go?
OMG - Why do I even bother posting? I have become very terrible at this. For shame...
Well, I guess I just felt like posting something up. Lol Here's just a bit about my current life:
1. Ok, so junior college is over, right? (See my previous post from, I don't know, back in May!) Well, now I want to move on to the "big boy" schools. However, I've been rolling over and over in my mind that I want to change my major. So, for the past month or two, I've been debating on what major to start. Back in jr. college, I received an Associate's in Music. But now I feel as though I want to get a degree in something more... marketable, if you will, e.g. Business degree, something in computers. But I also want to have some fun with it too. So... That has been my college dilemma. Any suggestions? (I know I need to go to a counselor too...)
2. The summer internship has been going well. Time has really flown by me. The rest of the interns are going back to school, one by one. I'll be the last to go, of course. I say that because for the past 2 summers, I've stayed at the company well past into the next year. But I think this year will be different. I may work a bit of part-time if they can provide for me some work, but probably not as much as the previous years.
3. I miss one of the interns... He and I did a lot of chit chatting (via email since we were in different areas of the building). While I don't want to make assumptions... I really liked him! But now he's gone... in TEXAS no less and for 3 years. He still drops a few emails here and there, but I don't want to be that girl that constantly responds back and always calls and is basically an annoying dripping faucet, if you get my drift. SO... Lol
~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*
Ok, so that's been my life. I always read people's posts but never consistently leave comments and such. Sorry... I've gotten bad at this stuff. Life... Hope yours is going all right! See you later. *hugs*

Fin!
Hey!! How's it going? Can you believe I'm posting again!! *gasps* What's gotten into me? Lol
Thanks for the 4 comments! Gosh, I shouldn't be so surprised since I don't even post anymore... ^^;;
Commenting on Comments
somegirl - Awww! No problem, Jade. I want people to know about your contest. It's a great idea. Have you convinced Elves to join? (She'll blow us out of the water though... so maybe you shouldn't! Lol jk) Oh, and about your name - I like it! (How old are you?) I thought you liked "Dior" because of the artist Christian Dior. ^^ P.S. - I like my Coldplay song! I heard the iTunes commercial! Lol
Magnus Lenshurr - Hey Steph! *monster hugs* Thanks for stopping by! I know I need to come by people's sites more often. I don't get on the comp at home very much. But I will be with MyO as long as it will last! Thanks for the congrats too. ^^
Linden Rathan - OMG - Such a greeting! *hugs* Thanks for such a warm welcome back! Heehee... I do come around but I don't ever visit AND leave comments. I totally agree with you - There's just something "personal" about a pencil. I've come to the conclusion that computers, Internet, and the like are very much LESS personal and yet our society is so drawn to it. A shame really. I will check out your artwork!
CosmicSailor - Hey there, Hal! Yes, MyO definitely lends itself to the individual more nicely than The Worlds do. Yeah, you can only do so much on the Worlds before you begin looking like everyone else... Pooo.... How's your book going?
Graduation Day!!!
Well, nothing new has happened. Although, yesterday, I did graduate from the community college! YAY!!! XDDDD
Last night was my graduation ceremony. It was nice. There were a lot of kids that graduated! My friend and I were both honor students: I was summa cum laude, which is a rather high status. (w00t!)
The ceremony was rather long: it lasted from 6 to 10! Sheesh... I was so glad to have gotten through it all. (And I'm glad I didn't trip!) Overall, it was a very special time. I had great teachers, for the most part, and had a really good experience. Whoever disses junior colleges should get slapped!
~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Well, I shall try to pay some visits soon. Until then, have a great day!
Disclosure: I'm entering somegirl's art contest entitled "BE-creative." If you're interesting in entering this contest, just let somegirl know!

I'm Back - AGAIN!!!!
Hey everyone! Gosh, it's been FOREVER since I've posted here. ...According to my records, I have posted on MyO since February and TheO since April!
Sorry I hadn't been around very much! I wanted to focus on my last semester at the community college, which is NOW OVER! *dances* I did pretty well, getting A's and one B (grrrr!). Oh well - that class was pretty intense. Lol My final GPA is around 3.9 or so... TWO B'S!!! ARGH! Heehee... I know - I'm so stupid right now. I swear, being in college makes me feel stupider sometimes. XD
Anyway, I also wanted to post because I wanted to let you all (or at least, those who still remain from the old MyO, which isn't many) that I'm still around and alive. I noticed that a lot of the "veterans," if you will, are using their old MyO sites to post about their lives while using TheO to post pictures or wallpapers. Well, that sounds like a great idea, so I think I will do the same! ^_^ Besides, I can be so creative here on MyO and I have learned so much that I don't want to just drop it like that.
Currently, I'm working at the good ol' coal company again. They must really like me. My old and current boss said that she either wanted me or no intern at all! Lol She's too nice. I just have to get in the swing of things - I seem to be dragging some, which is no surprise. It seemed like I just finished school and went straight to work. Some of you guys must think I'm a weenie since I know some here work and do school too. I just never liked focusing on school work and working at the same time. But such is life, no? ^^
One more thing - I'm entering somegirl's art contest entitled "BE-creative." I very much like this one since Jade (a.k.a. somegirl) is making people in this contest hand draw their piece. I agree with her when she says that so much artwork these days is just using the computer, which is fine in and of itself, yet original stuff done with hand and pencil is becoming more and more scarce. It's a shame really. If you're interesting in entering this contest, just let somegirl know!
Well, you all have a great night! *hugs*

Long post - Skim over it!
Greetings to my dear Otaku friends.
It has been over 2 weeks since I've been around here. Wow... That's quite a while, isn't it. ^^; A lot has been going on, so I can only hope you understand.
My Agenda
School has been a major reason why I haven't been here. It's going well and I want to keep it that way, i.e. remain focused and use my time more wisely. Hehehe... That's the hard part. ^^;
I'm taking the same 3 courses I took last semester - Music Theory 4, Concert Choir and Piano - as well as that Communication course.
Music Theory 4 - We're finally in the "final" stages of our music theory. It's been a long and arduous journey, but it is nearing its end. Theory 4, they say, is actually easier than 2 & 3. I can only hope so. *crosses fingers* The teachers do seem to be, however, more on top of their game and, thus, on top of us. They really want us ready for if/when we transfer.
Concert Choir - I'm looking forward to the concert we'll be holding later in the spring. This time, our repertoire involves Mozart's Requiem and another piece by Handel. The little music I have playing is from the Requiem. It's very lovely music and I would recommend that some of you, who may not be familiar with some of the more "classical" artists/composers, check it out. *shrugs* It is an acquired taste.
Piano - It's pretty much the same story here. I am trying to practice at least 2 hours a day, since I'm at the college everyday. This will help with my piano skills. My teacher hopes that I master this one piece so I can perform in some sort of "convocation" or something. O_O I'm a bit nervous.... I don't like performing in front of people at all... I guess it's like talking in front of people too.
Oral Communication - Ah... I managed to get into the class. You may (mostly likely not) recall that I had trouble getting into this class due to it's being full. However, the professor noticed my interest and wrote a letter to the chairman of the department. Mr. Chairman thus signed the form, and Bam - now I'm in the class. Yay! I really enjoy this teacher. He's really down to earth and cares about his students doing well. It's funny - he cracks up at his own jokes like "Heeheehee!" Literally! We had our first 1-4 minute speech last Monday and Wednesday. I was shaky but it wasn't that bad. Can't wait for the final... hehehe... -__-;
I Need to Get Out of Here!
Oye. That's how I've been feeling lately. Things at home, over the past several days, have been very rough. My mom has been very upset with my dad and me over things as small as dust. No, I'm serious. It's been over the house cleaning. *cocks head* Yeah... *sighs* My mom has some pretty bad back pains that she's been going through for years now. She currently has a battery pack in her back, which was put there after her surgery last year. This may be causing her more pain than usual.
Anyway, when her pain flares up, she goes down which means there isn't anyone to do her job. I have school and other affairs to tend to and my dad has his job that he must take care. His job is one of the kind that you can't take a long break from, else your work load piles up and you turn in late work. Not a good thing. For sure, we can help out here and there (and we have), but it shouldn't be expected or required that we drop EVERYTHING in order to dust the living room, do the laundry, etc.
My mom and I have never had the greatest relationships. It's just so hard to relate to someone else when the relationship is one-sided. So the other day she comes to me and says that I should just start looking for somewhere else to live and take the dog (another source for "dirt") with me. Hmmm. That's not a bad idea!
So that's what I'm facing nowadays. Unfortunately, I don't have a full-time job where I can support myself and I'm not going to suck up my inheritance on that either. I don't know, I feel all sorts of confusion and anger right now: it's terrible. *lightly chuckles* What do you think you'd do in my shoes? ^^;
_________________________________________
So let me end on a brighter note with a pic. I guess it's somewhat brighter. ^^;
If you can't tell, this is a pit bull that had a run in with a porcupine. Lol Whom do you think won? The poor pooch had to have over 1,000 needles removed. I'd bet the porcupine is practically bald now. XD
Well, I'll see you all later. I will try to come around and make visits. It's been sooooo long. XD

My my my... I don't post enough it seems. Oh well... The Otaku does seem to be a bit slow still, that is, not many post as regularly as they used to. ^^; That would probably include me.
Anyway, thanks for your comments. I'm glad you all had a nice holiday! Gosh, doesn't that seem like such a long time ago? Lol Time really is flying, even faster as you get older.
Not much is really going on. I've been on break for the most part for the past several weeks. It's been nice to have a break from all the hub bub of school. But alas, in less than a week, it will be time to resume classes. ^^ I signed up for the same 3 classes that I took last semester; however, I will be taking a Speech class if I can get in touch with the professor of the class. I hear he's really good. *crosses fingers* The thing is I don't like talking in front of people: one on one is much easier. (Duh!) But I want to get better at public speaking because I think it's very handy to have just in case you ever need it. It's been neat though - I've gone to a couple of my friends sites here, and a couple of them are going through the same thing about public speaking and speech classes. It's nice to know you're not alone!
For Christmas, I also received those 2 Brain Age games. They're fun games that are supposed to help train and strengthen your brain. The game's developed by a renowned neurologist, Dr. Ryuta Kawashima, and designed to work your brain in different ways, as opposed to how your brain works when you're just playing, I dunno, Mario! Lol It can even calculate your "brain's age" just by a few tests. Currently, my brain is functioning at the level of a 20 year old, which the ideal age for everyone. Heh - I started out being 50... XD
Anyway, I want to post up a tip from the game, or should I say, Dr. Ryuta Kawashima himself! Lol Here goes:
Tip #1 - When you enjoy yourself, your brain may experience positive effect. But if you do things out of obligation, your brain could see negative effects. Remember to keep a positive attitude in everything you do!
Heehee... Thank you, Doc! XD
Well, I guess I shall see you all later. I hope to get to some more sites. ^^ *hugs*

P.S. Please check out my spiffy *coughs* Pokemon fan art! Lol Click here to view it. Thanks!

Heeheee.... Sorry for that rather short post I put up last time. It was more of a test blog for my new theme Legato Bluesummers. *fangirl squeal* Anyway, I'm glad you all approve of it. Funny thing is that I went out and bought some Trigun manga the past couple days. It's not bad - I already notice differences between the manga and the anime. ^^
Speaking of manga, I want to start picking up some other kinds like Nodame Cantibile and such. What are some others that you would recommend?
Christmas Recap
Ah yes... How time flies by! It seemed like it was not too long ago that I was eagerly awaiting Christmas and now it's long over. ^^ I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday!
My Christmas was very nice. My parents and I went to my sister and brother-in-law's place in the morning. It was a nice time there. They made us mini crab cakes and baked ziti for brunch/lunch. ^^ Then we opened our gifts.
My dad loved his iPod stuff I gave him. Heh. Now he feels like he's caught up in the world technology-wise... Sarah... Can you put these songs on my iPod? Yeah, real caught up. ^^ My mom loved her gifts too. Thank GOD the clothes my sis and I got her fit her. My goodness... Don't make me go down that road... Let's just say it's a "mom" thing.
For many a-Christmases, my sister and I would reveal to each other what we got each other. So, not to ruin tradition, my sis and I had told each other what we got. XD We were able to do our Ninetendo DS exchange this year: she got the crimson one and I got the Zelda one! w00t! *dances*
Later that day, we headed for a friend's a house. More food, more gift exchanging, and more good times. ^^
Mommy said, "Fart"!
It was some time not too long ago that my dad wanted to take me and my mom out to brunch. So we headed to our local Denny's and ate there. It was a nice time.
On the way home, my dad unleashed a massively foul bomb in the car. My mom was all like "OH STEVE, THAT WAS TERRIBLE!" and such; I was just laughing and gagging at the same time. Lol
Anyway, Mom sticks her head out the window, apparently making faces and stuff. So the guy next to us rolls down his window, probably wondering if she had something to ask. But no, Mom just looks at him and says, "HE JUST FARTED!! ISN'T THAT TERRIBLE?!" The dude starts bustin' out laughing at her, and says to my dad, "You go, playah!" *shakes head* Wow! ^^;
_________________________________________
I'll end with that note. Lol I'll try starting up that "Know Your Anime" game thing I was doing a while ago. ^^ Anyway, I hope you all are having a grand day today. See you around!

Wow!
These are Christmas cards from a couple of my good friends, KitaBug69 and Enigmatic Turk!
Hooozah! Heehee... I'm back for the second time this week. Ah, it's nice to be here. ^^
Straight A's!
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG! *squeals with delight* Ah, you can venture from my title that I found out my grade for my Music Theory 3 course. I CANNOT believe that I managed an A. I must've been on the borderline between an A and a B. That's happened to me before: I got a 89.7 in my Bio class, so the professor bumped it to a 90. X3
*still in shock* I really have no clue how I pulled that off. I didn't do any extra credit, the last 13 Auralia tests I whizzed through due to a time crunch (ranging from 1/10 to 5/10), there's so much "blood" on my quizzes and tests - it's not funny... I feel as though I didn't do enough to deserve it. *thanks the Lord!*
Final results:
- Concert Choir: A
- Music Theory 3: A
- Applied Piano: Audited (Would've gotten A if I didn't audit)
Spray Paint
Christmas is less than a week away, which means that there will be Christmas plays coming. Such is the case with our church. I think they've been working on the play, but with plays you need props. Here's where I come in.
Currently, they've asked me to create a back drop for the play. I have a big bed sheet and bottles of spray paint. Yesterday, after getting some of the supplies, I took some time to at least spray the sheet. It was fun. I felt as though I was vandalizing something legally! Lol Is that messed up or what? XD
The blue I used doesn't look dark enough, so hopefully adding a light layer of black will fix the problem. After that, some words need to be added, as well as some stars. ^^ That's the fun part. ^^
Two Years of Otaku!
Whoops! Actually, my anniversary was the 12th. I think I missed it, huh? ^^;; That's all right.
It's been a fun 2 years here on the Otaku. I think I initially got started because I was looking for Outlaw Star wallpaper, and this was one of the first places that came up. Then I saw other people's fan art. It was really neat: I'd never seen that before. It wasn't long before I set up an account here and began meeting new friends!
So thanks, you guys and gals, for sharing a relationship with me! *ponders* That was worded funny, but I think you get the gist of it! ^^ *hands out Christmas cards*
Speaking of Christmas cards...
I don't have any special software whereby I can create pretty eCards or anything like that. So I'm looking them up on the web and trying to send them out to my good friends here on the otaku! If you all would, please leave me your email address if you'd like to receive something from me. ^^ Some of you I have already gotten with, so if you know who you are, don't worry about it!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Well, I won't be posting up any new "Unknown." However, I did want to let you all know that you were RIGHT! That was "Chopper" from One Piece! ^^ Good job!
With that, I'll say my good-byes. I hope to do some visiting over the next couple of days. Who knows, maybe I'll update again too! Hahahaha... ^^ *hugs everyone*

Heh. My weekly show up...
These are Christmas cards from a couple of my good friends, KitaBug69 and Enigmatic Turk!
Konnichiwa! How is everyone! Aye, it's been a while, and I've missed you all. I hope things have been going well with you all. *hugs*
Finally Done
I was hoping to come again last week, but I never got around to it. Last week were our finals at college. I pretty much know what I got in 2 of my 3 classes: they were A's. See, you just need to show up (Concert Choir) and practice hard (Applied Piano). They're pretty much easy A's if you do just that. It's funny though - this was the first semester my piano teacher had to fail a person and give another a D. *shakes head*
The course that has shaken me up the most is my Music Theory 3 class. And just to clear something up, "music" is not a cup of tea that some people make it out to be. Lol Anyway, my final for the MT3 class was broken up into 2 parts: ear training and written. By George, the ear training one gave me heck in the end... well, I guess the written did as well. I'm most bummed that I was not able to go to any concerts or performances to acquire some extra credit. *weeps* Ooo... I should go check my grades online... Be right back... *leaves to check grades*
*comes back* I cringed as the screen was loading... However, it seems as though my teacher hasn't yet posted the grade.... Grrrr! *crosses fingers*
Saturday Night Anime
I enjoy watching the toons on Saturday when I can. The following will be just tid-bits that stood out to me from the shows:
Naruto: Okay, I've missed a lot! I think LordSesshomaru told me that I could just break from Naruto since there would be a lot of filler. So I did (not necessarily because of him... ^^) and thus have missed a lot of action. Off to YouTube I guess!
One Piece: I haven't seen this one in quite some time too! I think the last time I watched was when Luffy fought Crocodile and left the princess lady. Sheesh, that's bad too. Now when I watched it this past Saturday, I was shocked because of the whole voice change and whatnot: I could hear their old voices yet these "new yet familiar" ones proceeded instead. Then I recalled something else LS mentioned on his site about One Piece now being under Funimation. xD LS, if you get this, could you fill me on the details? Lol
Death Note: Wow! This was a good episode. L really threw Light off guard. He freaks me out with his lifeless eyes...and when he rubs his toes together. Lol Also, I think I've grown to love Ryuk: he's such a comic relief in the whole series it seems. "An apple a day keeps Ryuk's symptoms at bay." ^^
Know Your Anime!
Yeah, that picture I posted last time might have been tricky. But LordSesshomaru was the closest although Bed-Stuy's guess made me laugh. "I think it's rice on abs." Teehee...
Mugen - Samurai Champloo
This picture cracks me up. It's from the 7th episode, I believe, where Fuu and Mugen enter this eating contest. However, it cost them some items in order to enter, namely their swords.
In the above image, Mugen's about to croak, but Jin insists he continues. Jin says: "My swords are on the line! Now swallow, dammit!" Heehee... Great anime series - check it out if you haven't done so already!
Today's Unknown:
You'll get this lickety-split. ^^
*-------------------------------------------------------*
Well, I shall depart. Take care! I hope I can visit you all some time soon. *hugs*
