Welcome to my site archives. 10 posts are listed per page.
Forgive me, everyone! I apologize for not getting around to different ones' sites of late. A busy schedule has kept me away for quite some time. *cursed 'end of the semester' business* I hope you all are doing great. Maybe I'll be able to catch up with you all over the weekend... ^^;;
On another subject... Do you all recall my telling you about that really talkative guy in my Physics class? Last time, the teacher made him come sit up front at the teacher's desk because he was yakking way too much. *sighs* Well, some people just don't learn from their mistakes. I say that because the same incident happened again this week. Well, Mr. Chatterbox was at it again, but I guess this time, he pushed way too many buttons. My professor then yells, "All right, kiddo! You're up here again!" Mr. Chatterbox responded with an attitude that was getting out of hand. So the prof. yells at him again, "OK! GET OUT! I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU HERE ANYMORE!" No longer was I laughing to myself. My professor sorta freaked me out just then: he was like a time bomb that just went off! I think I know how I'm going to evaluate him in the end...
I'm glad not all of my professors are like him. I love my music teachers. They, for the most part, are really laid back, meaning that there's not a whole lot of pressure on you, other than to get your homework done. Even my English teacher, whom I admire for her sterness with her students, doesn't fly off the deep end with us. In fact, she's calm, collected, and really nice. She even gave us the day off because she knew our brains would've been mush after working on our reports *coughs* at the last minute. (Yeah, 4 o'clock in the morning: not the greatest decision of my life. Heck, I never thought I'd be that kind of college student... Talk about "rude awakenings.")Gosh, are college students that predictable? I guess so after teaching for so long...
So, the remainder of my days until summer vacation will consist of: Performing in the choir this Sunday, doing more skit practices, working on our church's facilities, working on a presentation, and studying on more scary tests. I know: I'm very much complaining right now. I'm the most complainying, grumblying (I made those words up, if you didn't notice...lol) person I know. Heh. Not really. ^^; But seriously, I feel as if I'm under the gun right now, trying to get everything done just so. *cries* I need some cuddle time with my pillow! T_T
All righty then. That's it for now. Sorry for the bore: you probably just wasted 5 minutes of your precious time. ^_^ I hope I can visit some of you all. You're the bestest!! *hugs everyone*
Greetings everyone! ^_^ I hope you all are doing well. Gosh, this weekend seemed like it just flew on by... Where does the time go? O_O
I guess I had an interesting weekend, considering I had little sleep for the past two days. Saturday was a eventful day. A vast majority of the day was spent working on our church's facilities again. I got to work on the plumbing system, though all I pretty much did was run errands or scour copper. But that's okay. I was able to watch some fellows solder the piping together, which was neat since I've never seen it done.
Well, later in the evening, we young adults spent some time working on our skits that we've been preparing for a little while now. Man, we need some acting classes or something! But this is the first time we've actually practiced them, so I can't be too negative about it... *mumbles* Still...we need acting classes... Umm! So anyway... After having some fun with the skits, some of us were thinking of something to do. Mind you, it was 9:30 at night. I actually should have spent the remainder of my day more wisely, like doing homework or laundry. Alas, I succumbed to peer pressure (lol) and went out with my friends. We ended up going to the Unos restaurant, waiting an hour for our food, and shooting each other with straws. Fortunately, my day ended no later than 12:30... *big smile*
Last night was a doozy too. The day before, a few friends and I were asked to do some editing on the skits and have them ready by next Saturday. Well, shucks howdy, none of us have the time from now until then to really work on them, so we decided to work on them last night. Again, my day ended around 1:30 in the morning. lol
However, I became a bit disgruntled toward one of my friends because she decided not to come and help out, due to homework. I figured that though I had a lot of homework too, I still needed to sacrifice my time to get this thing ready, doing my part. Does anyone else find that wrong, either my disgruntled attitude or my friend's not doing her part? I have mixed feelings concerning the matter... Lord Jesus help me!
So today, I will be spending the entire day working on homework, taking a take-home exam, vacuuming, doing laundry, and other assorted matters. Yipee? lol I hope your day turns out to be more favorable than mine... *hugs* I'm glad to have good buddies here on the O. Take care, my friends! ^_^
Hey y'all! Thanks for your considerate comments. We of the choir will surely keep Mr. Clarence in mind during our performance...which is in two weeks...of which we still need some more practice...O_O...But we will rise to the occassion and do a bombin' job. XD Oh, to answer someone's question, Mr. Clarence died due to heart failure. He had a stroke some time ago, so a pump was "installed" in him. However, that did not work well for him, and, alas, he passed away.
On another note, I was reminded yesterday why I consider some people as "idiots." I have this tendency while I'm driving to label people according to their driving ability, if you will. Heck, I know I was in an accident a while ago, but still...some people are just "OMYGOSH!"
Well, anyway, on my way home from school, I happened to cross paths with an idiot. This fellow was obviously an aggressive driver, weaving to and fro in front of people. He passed me with barely enough room had I not slowed down. To say the least, he disgusted me. Somehow I managed to pass him and had him shortly thereafter tailgate me. Well, shucks, I thought I'd show him something, so I slowed down to just the speed limit. Thinking that he'd just have to wait behind me, I was shocked when he went into the shoulder to pass me and then slow down so that I would rear-end him! You could say that I was P.O.'d at the guy. He continued this behavior even as I tried to change lanes. Fortunately, I was able to out-fox him. As I came upon a fork in the road, I pretended to go one way, thinking he'd try to cut me off again. Well, he did. I then swirved into the other lane, which finally shook him off of me. Though he gave me the one-finger salute, I felt relieved to have gotten away from him. ...I also felt happy because I called the police on him too... XD
*sighs* So that was my highlight from yesterday. ^_^ I'm still a bit shaken and hope I don't come across him again. But today, things seem to be going well. I received an English paper back from my teacher and was surprised on my grade: I got a 96! I was really pleased with it, and so was my teacher. In fact, she wants a copy of it so that she can use it for other classes with other students! ^_^ Yay!
Other than that, I am looking forward to the rest of the day chilling with my friends and possibly going to the mall for this "Runway" thing. According to this girl, you can audition on the runway for Anne Taylor and receive a bunch of goodies... I still don't know if the "cat walk" is for me though. *looks at self* I don't have much of a figure... I like to say that my body comes in little Chinese boxes...Did that make sense to anyone but me? lol
Ok, one last thing before I go. Can you all think of a good, humorous question that I can "Ask a Ninja"? I'll shoot him an e-mail and see if he'll use the one that seems the most humorous. All right. Well, you all take care and have a great rest of the day! *hugs*
Hey everyone! I hope you all are doing well. I really meant to post yesterday but couldn't because I came down with something. It was strange: I was fine one moment and then the next my stomach tightened and seized up like an inner implosion (the opposite of an explosion). I seriously tried about three times to post, but each time my pain hindered me from clicking the "Add Post" button. Alas... Maybe it was from enduring a long school day? Ah well... Fortunately, I feel much better today. *shrugs* Must have something to do with being a GIRL! XD
I appreciate your comments and am glad I can share certain topics with you all without feeling ashamed. *smiles and hugs everyone* Remember how I mentioned in my last post about my parents' constant talk about money and the dog? I sware I must jump to conclusions way too fast. It seemed as though as soon I put up that post that my parents settled their squabbling. *shakes head* The irony of life or something, I guess. I'm just glad the storm has settled for the time being. ^_^
Oh yeah... I'm glad I'm not the only one who confused the anime "Guyver" with the handy-man "MacGyver"! heehee I think I used to be infatuated with him... *looks at your blank expressions* Hey, I was like 7 or something when I watched that show!!! O_o
On another topic, last night was our Concert Choir practice. Heh, in just two short weeks, we will be giving a performance, so I'm looking forward to that. Anyway, we, choirists, were made aware of some very sad news. One of our bass singers that had been very faithful over the years in participating in the choir just passed away. Yeah, I was somewhat moved even though I didn't know the guy. So, in memory of Mr. Clarence, we will dedicate the entire performance to him. I thought that was a good call on my conductor's behalf. *nods*
Geez, it seems as though death is having fun of late. You all have heard of that terrible incident at Virgina Tech, where 30 or so people were shot dead. My friend has relatives that go there, but fortunately, I don't think any of them were affected. Incidents like that give us sobering reminders of the value of the life we have...
Sorry for ending my post with such a depressing tone. So, not to belabor the dreary moment, why don't you all enjoy an "Ask A Ninja" video. I find this fellow quite hilarious, whoever he is. Have you heard of him or seen any of his vids? Hope you enjoy and take care. *hugs* ^_^
Hey people! Ahhhh... So today is a not-so-lovely day. ^_^ I just say that since it's supposedly spring here in Maryland. However, the current weather is 25-mph gusts in dropping 40-degree temperatures with chances of snowfall later in the evening... GO SPRING! Is this a result of global warming?.... Bah.
Ok, anyway... Now I can say, "I hope you had a good weekend!" since I'm not posting so late this time. *ahem* I had a nice one myself. Didn't do anything special but work on our church's facilities. They're really coming along! I wish I had some pictures to show you the progress that's been achieved. Quite impressive considering that our congregation's only 70 people strong and we've done 90% of the work.
Oh yeah. You might recall that some of my friends and I are trying to come up with some skits. About that... I do believe our skit (of the young adults) compared to the youth group's really, really stinks! We've got roughly less than 3 weeks to get everything worked out. *in a news reporter's voice* Can we do it? Or will this be a disaster waiting to happen?? Stay tuned for more breaking news... ...lol Forgive my lapse of sanity...
Well, I wish things were as light-hearted at home as they are with my friends. Gosh, all that I've been hearing from my folks is "money, money, money, stupid dog, money, money, darn dirty dog!, money..." I tell you, this is getting really old very fast. Honestly, I just want to spend the rest of the week at a buddy's house. *sighs* Ever have periods like that at your home? O_O
Before I leave, I want to know if you've ever heard of the anime "Brave Story" or "Guyver." I heard of "Guyver" from a guy at school, and "Brave Story" was something I cam across while I was at YouTube (You always find interesting stuff on YouTube...). Well, if not, then I posted up a video of each. Hope you all enjoy and do take care, my friends. *hugs*
Hey everyone! I hope you all are doing well. I guess it's a bit late to say, "I hope you had a good weekend!" since another weekend is coming up... *ahem*
Anyway, my week has been going well. Although I must say, I've had a day here and there where I've stayed up around 1-3 in the morning, and then had to get up 4 hours later. Yes, that means I've only had 4 hours of rest those days! The body does not function well without at least 6-8 hours...take it from me...lol
Yesterday was amusing. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I only have one class: Physics. Oh on a side note, I'm going to do my project on "Color Blindness." I thought that would be easier than "Music Therapy" since I'm struggling in music... lol
Ok, ok... So we were in class yesterday, and there's this fellow that was really chatty. He usually is the talkative type, but that day, he was exceptionally gabby. Anyway, he's going on with other kids in the class about getting this quiz question right, so the teacher goes, "Hey buddy! Why don't you sit up here in the front row so I can see ya." Well, the kid goes up in the front row as told, but do you think he learns his lesson. Common sense was not working with this kid today, so he continues to blab on about something with another friend. You probably can guess what the teacher says next. He then says, "Ok. Buddy, just come up here with me. Yup, sit right next to me." Yeah, so then I just wanted to bust out laughing, but since I am the model student *rolls eyes*, I kept my peace. You have to admit, the dude just wasn't using his head that morning. *shakes head*
Well, take care everyone! I hope your days go well for you all. Peace. ^_^
Q of the day: How do you tell someone that you're not interested in them without sounding mean?
I may explain the reason behind this question later... O_O Thanks for any responses!
Hey fellow Otaku peeps! heehee. Thanks for your endearing comments concerning my mixed emotions. I do hope I didn't make any of the guys feel out of place, though I'm sure I still did... lol ^^;
Well, today went all right. Actually, it started off pretty rough. Let me take a fews steps back and start from there. Yesterday, I had, at least, 5 hours to work on an English paper. Five hours!! And throughout that time period, my brain functioned like it was on crack. And no, I certainly don't do drugs! So 5 hours were spent with nothing accomplished. Lovely, right?
Consequently, because I had church last night, I was left with only a couple hours in the day. So what do I do? I stay up until 2:30 in the morning reading and re-reading William Shakespeare's Macbeth. That's my sleeping time!! *begins to sob* Bloody, I could recite passages right now if my brain were working for me. *sighs*
Fortunately, I managed to scribble down several paragraphs that probably will make my professor wonder... Well, I already said that today was somewhat rough, and that is due to my lack of sleep which in effect made me oversleep. Thus, I get to my morning class late (My art class: we had fun learning about "shading"), work on the in-class project and run over the class period, which then makes me very late for my next class. I should really schedule my classes better next semester... So that was my day! Now, after posting this, I hope to take a couple hour nap, for I have to go work for several more hours. >_<
Sorry my posts aren't very eventful like some of yours are out there. I just say it how it is. ^_^
Wait a minute! Quick Q of the Day:
How do you use your 'down time,' other than with anime? Any other hobbies or activities?
I guess that's all. I've prattled enough for today. Take care, my fellow anime lovers! *hugs*
Hey everyone! I was able to visit a lot of sites today because I've got a few more hours to kill. It seems most of you all are doing all right: that makes me happy. *big grin*
Well, today is Tuesday again, which means it's my long day at school. Instead of going home for an hour and then having to go back to school, I'm just going to stay on the campus until my evening class is over. *looks at watch* That will be another 5 hours. Gosh, staying at school for over 12 hours... A dream come true, right? hahaha... No, not really. So right now, I'm "multi-tasking," trying to work on some Physics homework while visiting some of you all. I must say - it's not the wisest thing to do...
*ahem* Anyway, I've had some interesting things happen lately. It seems as though I've become more "guy-oriented," that is to say, I've been thinking about guys lately. *blushes* I try not to get all caught up with that stuff since I don't believe in girlfriend/boyfriend relationships: that's just me! (I know: some of you all think I'm crazy). Well, as I try to stay away from that guys, the guys seem to be approaching me! Yesterday, I had a fellow approach me in the computer lab. He must've thought I was someone else... someone named "Jen." *shrugs* Anyway, after I told him that he was probably mistaken, he still stuck around for a while and chatted with me. I felt very awkward to say the least... lol Then, there's this other guy from a class that likes to chat with me too. I am honestly feeling very "WHOA!" about all of this. I seriously hope these guys don't think I'm in to them...although I sorta am. ^^; Oh gosh! *begins to cry* What's happening to me?!?!
I'm so sorry for all the guys who might have read through my post that's full of female hormones and emotions. lol Oh man, I think I need to end things here... Uh, well, you all take care. *hugs* You're great Otaku buddies!!
Gosh, this is my third time posting this week: I'm on fire! XP heehee... I hope you all are doing well. I know I sure am. It seems as though it's been a very long week, and I'm very much looking forward to the weekend.
Now that midterms are done in school, the semester should pick up the pace a bit more. I'm really trying to keep up in my classes. Lately, my professor in English seems to be piling on the papers more, so I'm feeling a bit uneasy. In Physics, we are going to be working on a project/presentation. I am NOT looking forward to that since I have no clue what I'll do my project on... Though I am thinking about the effects of "music therapy." My Music Theory/Ear Training class is not going as well as I had hoped. I did pitiful on my midterm, at least, on the ear training part. I think my music professor should give us a 5-min. break every now and then throughout the test: after 10 minutes or so, things start sounding the same! *sighs* So these are my problem areas right now. I can't wait until I graduate!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Moving on to something completely off subject... Let me ask you all this:
Do you all ever catch yourselves lost in thought in daydreams like REALLY bad?
I ask this because I sometimes find myself lost in thought on a number of occassions. There will be times when I'm driving and my mind slips into a deep thought, and then I suddenly find myself in my driveway, asking, "How'd I get here? I don't remember much in the last 5 minutes..." lol ^^'
Wow, today has been such a long day. I still feel as though I'm adjusting to a school schedule after a relaxing week off. Plus, Tuesdays are my longest days with classes from 9 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon, and I have an evening class from 7-9:45. What makes things worse is that I can't go home since I have this "pre-meeting" with some friends. We're going to try to brainstorm some ideas to create a skit for an upcoming event. Any writers out there?!
So right now, I'm only half way through my day. Soon, I'll be off to meet my friends at Chick-fil-A to grab some grub and think of something for a skit. *sighs* I am so not a playwrite!
Finally, I'll conclude my day with a night of singing. *yay!* Despite the fact that I hate the time of my class, I still love the songs we get to sing. ^_^
So that's basically it for me. I hope your day is going well. Yesterday, I was able to visit a lot of sites, which made me happy. So I hope I can visit some more later. Take care, fellow Otaku friends. ^_^
