Greetings!
I hope you all have been doing well. Gosh, I've been on and off, but it's still been a while since I've been around. I don't even know where to start. Heh. That sounds familiar, doesn't it? heehee...
So What's New?
Interesting question. Let's see...
Well, as you may have noticed, I'm playing around with some ideas with the site. I'm so not HTML/CSS/WTH(?) savvy as some of you all, but that's all right. Lol. Because I'm starting to lose my mind at the moment
, I might just stick with the familiar. *shrugs* I'll get things back to norm when my eyeballs heal. *rubs her poor blood-shot eyes*

Onto other news... Today was my grandfather's interment, that is, his burial. You may recall that he actually died back in May, but today he was finally buried at Arlington Cemetery! I can only imagine what those people did with him for the past 2 months... *sucks on a pop sickle* Mmm... Berry flavor...
Anywho, his burial was scheduled to begin at 9 this morning. My family lives in Maryland and Arlington is in Virginia, which means we have to pass through Washington traffic. (Did I lose anyone out there?) I don't know if any of you are familiar with it, but, it can get terrible out there! *shakes fist at slow drivers* So we have to leave the house exactly at 7:00 to be there at 8:30. Lol. It was pretty crazy this morning. My mom... *rolls eyes and sighs* She is not a morning person, and to make things worse, she is never punctual. But it was a miracle we left the house at 6:55! lol Go Mom!
So the ceremony was just superb. The military folks did an outstanding job. It really moved my dad. I mean, c'mon, this was his hero, and as he says, "Heroes aren't supposed to die."
My grandpa was last issued from the Army, which means he received an Army ceremony. Nonetheless, we'll forever remember him as a Marine who served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. When his headstone is erected, I'll have to bring pictures. ^^
In Conclusion...
So that's pretty much it for me. I didn't have to go into work today.
I'm sooo relieved! Lol.
Oh! Real quick! More news! Next Wednesday, I'm going to a coal mine! Weeee! ^^ It sounds like a lot of fun. I've heard that we'll go down 600' (or was it 60?) and then ride in these little train-like things for 45 minutes, in the dark! (Save for our headlamps.) I'm so psyched! When I find out more, I'll let you all know.
Until next time... Later!
