   Long post - Skim over it!

Greetings to my dear Otaku friends.

It has been over 2 weeks since I've been around here. Wow... That's quite a while, isn't it. ^^; A lot has been going on, so I can only hope you understand.

My Agenda
School has been a major reason why I haven't been here. It's going well and I want to keep it that way, i.e. remain focused and use my time more wisely. Hehehe... That's the hard part. ^^;
I'm taking the same 3 courses I took last semester - Music Theory 4, Concert Choir and Piano - as well as that Communication course.

Music Theory 4 - We're finally in the "final" stages of our music theory. It's been a long and arduous journey, but it is nearing its end. Theory 4, they say, is actually easier than 2 & 3. I can only hope so. *crosses fingers* The teachers do seem to be, however, more on top of their game and, thus, on top of us. They really want us ready for if/when we transfer.

Concert Choir - I'm looking forward to the concert we'll be holding later in the spring. This time, our repertoire involves Mozart's Requiem and another piece by Handel. The little music I have playing is from the Requiem. It's very lovely music and I would recommend that some of you, who may not be familiar with some of the more "classical" artists/composers, check it out. *shrugs* It is an acquired taste.

Piano - It's pretty much the same story here. I am trying to practice at least 2 hours a day, since I'm at the college everyday. This will help with my piano skills. My teacher hopes that I master this one piece so I can perform in some sort of "convocation" or something. O_O I'm a bit nervous.... I don't like performing in front of people at all... I guess it's like talking in front of people too.

Oral Communication - Ah... I managed to get into the class. You may (mostly likely not) recall that I had trouble getting into this class due to it's being full. However, the professor noticed my interest and wrote a letter to the chairman of the department. Mr. Chairman thus signed the form, and Bam - now I'm in the class. Yay! I really enjoy this teacher. He's really down to earth and cares about his students doing well. It's funny - he cracks up at his own jokes like "Heeheehee!" Literally! We had our first 1-4 minute speech last Monday and Wednesday. I was shaky but it wasn't that bad. Can't wait for the final... hehehe... -__-;

I Need to Get Out of Here!
Oye. That's how I've been feeling lately. Things at home, over the past several days, have been very rough. My mom has been very upset with my dad and me over things as small as dust. No, I'm serious. It's been over the house cleaning. *cocks head* Yeah... *sighs* My mom has some pretty bad back pains that she's been going through for years now. She currently has a battery pack in her back, which was put there after her surgery last year. This may be causing her more pain than usual.
Anyway, when her pain flares up, she goes down which means there isn't anyone to do her job. I have school and other affairs to tend to and my dad has his job that he must take care. His job is one of the kind that you can't take a long break from, else your work load piles up and you turn in late work. Not a good thing. For sure, we can help out here and there (and we have), but it shouldn't be expected or required that we drop EVERYTHING in order to dust the living room, do the laundry, etc.
My mom and I have never had the greatest relationships. It's just so hard to relate to someone else when the relationship is one-sided. So the other day she comes to me and says that I should just start looking for somewhere else to live and take the dog (another source for "dirt") with me. Hmmm. That's not a bad idea!
So that's what I'm facing nowadays. Unfortunately, I don't have a full-time job where I can support myself and I'm not going to suck up my inheritance on that either. I don't know, I feel all sorts of confusion and anger right now: it's terrible. *lightly chuckles* What do you think you'd do in my shoes? ^^;

_________________________________________

So let me end on a brighter note with a pic. I guess it's somewhat brighter. ^^;

If you can't tell, this is a pit bull that had a run in with a porcupine. Lol Whom do you think won? The poor pooch had to have over 1,000 needles removed. I'd bet the porcupine is practically bald now. XD

Well, I'll see you all later. I will try to come around and make visits. It's been sooooo long. XD
