One Missed Call; Review by Twiliwolf
Okay i just finished the american version of "One Missed Call"
here's the summery on the back of the case;
It happens to one. then another. and another.
collage students discover eerie voicemail messages on their cell phones. each call comes from the near future. each call has the chilling voice of the student durring his or her last moments alive. and each one comes true.
Based on hit japanese thriller "Chakushin Ari"
here's my review;
it was... okay. i honest think the ending was horrible and the plot became a little predictable, most of it was atmosphere and twitchy spirits. i thought the odd thing was this little thing with candy that was go'n on. anyway, over all okay horror film but not great. the ending blew... Premenitions; a movie review
Premonitions, a J-horror about a newspaper that predicts peoples deaths; based on the novel "Nightmare Newspaper".
-Summery-
When a Japanese salleryman finds a clip of a newspaper predicting his daughters death in a phone booth then his daughter dies he is horrified and confused. Three years later, strange things start happening, the newspaper begins apearing everywhere. predicting the deaths of those near him. what can he do to halt this, or will he end up in the news himself.
Review;
this was a good film. if you like films with gore, and pop out scare-the-shit-out-of-you moments, this probably isn't the film for you. but if you like an eery atmosphere with a few scattered jump out moments then i highly recommend this film.

A Haunting In Connecticut: a review by twiliwolf
You all have heard of it by now, some have seen in probably.
i want to write my opinions on it.
If you ever watched "A Haunting" on Discovery, then you might have seen this episode. The boy has cancer, the family moves closer to the hospital for him. unfortunatly the home they buy is haunted. wierd shit goes down, the boy goes insane, tries to rape his cousin, and is sent to a mental hospital. the family calls a priest who calms the activity for about a month, but doesn't stop it. eventually they move, the boy gets over his cancer and insanity. Everyone lives happily ever after.
that was the REAL story, here is the movie's story:
***SPOILERS***
Boy has cancer, family moves into house to be closer to the hospital. wierd shit goes down. pretty much the same as original story, BUT WAIT. there is a strange boy, and a mad carving words into dead bodies then.... cutting off their eyelids? turns out said boy is a medium, and apprentice to the mortician. the mortician begins to exploit his abilities, trapping spirits to the house to amplify the boys powers. there is an accident, the spirts kill the boy.
now the family living there is being haunted, especially the boy with cancer because he is now the embodiment of that medium boy. (shit my dog is looking like he sees something that i dont! *hides*) eventually they find tones of dead bodies in the walls, distroys them, shit goes down. all is well.

so now here is my review:
Good movie, scared the shit out of me. but bad job of following the original story. they added a whole side story, back story and fanal. its good for those who dont know the original story, the eyelids thing was f-cked up Comments (0) |

3:20 to 4:30 today was amazing
so as you know i have my lisence now (yay) and my parents gave me my mom's car and got her a new one. So her car was a little dirty and my parents were like "go get it washed" and i was like "i dun wanna!!". today i desided to do it, but only by taking my BFF AnimeAngel993 (we'll call her Angel) with me. so i picked her up and we went to the place. it took us FOREVER to figure out how it worked. it was Ticket, wash, pay. we did it Try to pay, ticket, pay, wash. but it worked out alright. anyway while they were washing it we went and got icecream from the Baskin Robin's across the street.
after the care was done the real fun began. we started to just cruise blasting music. i was heading in this big U-turn back to Angel's house and when we were in this one part of town the Numa Numa song was blasting on the radio (i had my ipod hooked up). there was this guy at a stop sign who when he heard it started to smile but tried to hide it. we burst out laughing, because this guy was like "lol they're playing Numa Numa"
that made my day...
Augh its finally working again!!
MyOtaku sucks lately it never works!
anyway here are my updates:
I did this three day course at school. we do this every year where specific teachers get to do special classes. they're fun, mandatory and cost money -_-
i joined my english teacher's "Geek Way" course, it was that or chorus with a bunch of freshies (who at my school all look like disney channel actors. seriously all the guys have hair cuts like Zack Efron!)
anyway. this course turned out to be a good idea. the first day we talked over geekdom. then we set up a miniatures battle it lasted two days.
We also played Dungeons and Dragons. it was hard-core....
and we went to a comic book store!
it was fun!

I'm FINALLY updating my mangas....
i know right?!
seriously when was the last time i did that?
well i should have them up tonight, sometime.
i have to tone the wolfcub ones and add text to both. heck i might tone the Hiro ones to for fun. anyway if you like 'em you know how to keep em comming. thats right i've said it a million times and i'll say it again
