another poem for now, and tomorrow I should be posting the best one I've ever written:

Dead and Forgotten
Dead and forgotten, arising no more,
Generations have past, forgotten in lore.
Half buried and fallen, lost in the time.
Powerless to resist that vorpal mime.
Shouting in silence and never once heard
Surrounded by shadows, as clouds to a bird.
Monument fallen, crumbled at last,
Days of glory long gone and past.
Journeys and sunsets, shores and shining seas,
Turned to dust, blown away by the breeze.
Lovers and friends gone by the way,
With the fallen have they gone to lay.
I have suffered the worst fate of all,
With the legends I do not stand tall.
To be forgotten is the greatest woe,
Being snuffed out in silence a horrid foe.
Leaving a mark, a legend on time's page,
Removes the stain of fault, restoring purity's age.

   a quote
while I am certainly not a believer in Eastern philosophies, certain morsels of wisdom can be found in them. Such as this one from the Book of Tea, which was written by Kakuzo Okakura:

"We must remember, however, that art is of value only to the
extent that it speaks to us. It might be a universal language
if we ourselves were universal in our sympathies. Our
finite nature, the power of tradition and conventionality, as
well as our hereditary instincts, restrict the scope of our
capacity for artistic enjoyment. Our very individuality
establishes in one sense a limit to our understanding; and our
aesthetic personality seeks its own affinities in the creations of
the past. It is true that with cultivation our sense of art
appreciation broadens, and we become able to enjoy many
hitherto unrecognised expressions of beauty. But, after all, we
see only our own image in the universe,--our particular
idiosyncracies dictate the mode of our perceptions."

This was written to explain the floating nature of Teaist philosophy, but it can be applied to all aspects of life.,

   Darkness overcomes False Hope
Darkness
Called up from the depths of the sky,
Can this be? Shall the hopeful rejoice?
Dark forces arise, nothing escapes the eye,
The hopeful, they cry with one voice.
That darkness may be broken as in the past.
Star-formed force shining and dread,
Races toward that famed battle last.
Where they clash against legions of dead.
Shining they fight with power and skill.
In vain, the shadow isn't stopped, it kills
Unbelievable hatred and single minded rage,
Caused the Shadow to erase the shining from times alabaster page.

By Patrick Beam (i think thats me, let me check)

anyway, thought I'd try my hand at poetry, haven't for a while. Speaking of poetry I made a really good one that I will post soon. (if I find it that is)

Someone wishes to fight me?
some girl has decided she will fight with me, this 'dark mercenary'. She's asking for an early reitrement to her grave.

   Very upset
I need to put up a few posts to rid myself of the post accident of yesterday, not only did I forget that jpg's don't work, I accidently posted them twice. Rather silly I'm afraid, but c'est la vie.
Anyways, Inuyasha boxed set is pretty awesome, I might scan the box and use as my avatar because it's very shiny and nice.
