another poem for now, and tomorrow I should be posting the best one I've ever written:

Dead and Forgotten
Dead and forgotten, arising no more,
Generations have past, forgotten in lore.
Half buried and fallen, lost in the time.
Powerless to resist that vorpal mime.
Shouting in silence and never once heard
Surrounded by shadows, as clouds to a bird.
Monument fallen, crumbled at last,
Days of glory long gone and past.
Journeys and sunsets, shores and shining seas,
Turned to dust, blown away by the breeze.
Lovers and friends gone by the way,
With the fallen have they gone to lay.
I have suffered the worst fate of all,
With the legends I do not stand tall.
To be forgotten is the greatest woe,
Being snuffed out in silence a horrid foe.
Leaving a mark, a legend on time's page,
Removes the stain of fault, restoring purity's age.
