part eleven, not twice as much as seven
“So the young pup hasn’t killed himself, yet. That is shocking. I figured the loss of his latest friend would surely drive him over the edge. Not that it truly matters. This spell is almost done. Now that the king is under my control, and the map and Eve are in my possession, all will go well. It’s only a matter of time before the entire world knows the name, Saygram.” Behind him, Eve’s head drooped from exhaustion. Her body drained from being the focal point of a spell for months. “The girl isn’t even awake any more. Not that it matters. Her dread parents will never have the Dark Falcon. And as long as they don’t have it, I will be the only one capable of casting the spell. I think it’s very funny that this girl wanted to find the statue as well. She had no idea that to use it, she would have to kill herself. It is not as if there are many half-vampire, half-succubus in the world. Hehe.” A shadow moved in the corner. “Who’s there?” His mind reached out to attack whomever it was. Saygram felt that mercy was very overrated.
“I’m not sure you want to find my mind, but if you insist.” A darkness reached back across the connection Saygram had formed and touched his mind.
“Ahhhh! Nexto-Samas!,” and a fireball shot from Saygram’s hands and then flashed harmlessly away on the shadowy figure approaching him.
“The advantage a vampire has over all other forms of life, if you can call yourselves that, is that vampires actually have power. Unfortunately for you, you do not have that one thing. So now you will belong to me. I can’t believe I’ve come down to using you as my ghoul.”
As it got closer, Saygram began to have a hard time breathing. The room began to swim, and blood ran from his nose. “You decided to use my daughter as a toy, I will have to do the same to you.” Its hand reached out, covered in wisps of blackness, and wrapped around his throat. Where it touched, the flesh went cold and numb, and then simply went away.
“Ggrjaiehahehe,” was all Saygram could say as his throat was corroded away. Then the fangs sank in, and suddenly Saygram felt fine. The one odd thing being that his point of view was of his own headless body. “I’m dead?”
“No. A ghoul. My ghoul to be exact. Now stand up. I have some animals I would like you to hunt for me.” The shadow said this as it glided over to the unmoving form of Eve. The restraints on her body simply fell off and allowed her to fall forward. The darkness did not catch her physically, but she was stopped from hitting the ground. “The ones you’re going to kill are two weres. I believe you already know them well. So go now.” Saygram found himself unable to disobey.
“Yes ,Master,” and with that he picked up his head and left.
