I chose Naruto...
Poem of the Day:

Riverside

Maybe if you liked me a bit more
I wouldn't be left on the shore
Maybe if you tried to be my friend
I wouldn't be here at the End
Maybe if you were kind
I could have kept my mind
Or was it all me
Was it too good to be?
I reached out to save you
But that's the one thing I couldn't do
You kept sinking, and sinking low
Now I wonder, "Where'd you go?"
Maybe, maybe, oh, if Only
You accepted me
Before you drowned
Now I'm bound
To live or die
And you aren't here to help me decide
I feel so alone
While I'm sinking, sinking, like a stone.

The Hate Samaru Harbors

A young boy walked into the foyer of his house. His long blackblue hair bounced as he walks, and he smiled as he sees a figure. "Ane-chan!" he said in his childish voice. The young woman turned to look at her kin. Her almost ridicuously long brown-black hair, longer than her orange and crimson dress, was flung over her shoulder. Her cold black eyes retained no emotion as she spoke. "Sa-kun... I take it Miyu oba-san has finished the evening meal?" she says in a calm, almost soothing voice. Samaru stared. "If that means your asking if dinner's ready, then yeah." he said as he cocked his head. The girl nodded. She sat by a window that bathed her in moonlight, making her all the more beautiful. Her hair was in a long ponytail secured by a blood red ribbon. She wore a short orange dress with crimson rose design on the bottom half and a cream colored jacket. She played with her ring that had been her Fathers final gift to her, showing it to her cousin, trying to taunt him. Her hitai-ate of Konoha was draped around her waist. "I'm not hungry, Sa-kun." she finally said as she turned towards the stairs. "But Ka-san made your favorite! Fried ri" "Tell her thank you, but I'm tired. And I do not wish to be disturbed. This means you." she said as she desended the stairs, glaring at her cousin "Yes, Ae-chan... Hey! Tomorrow, I was wondering if you could maybe play with me! If you aren't too busy. I don't see you much anymore. You always train or hide out in your room. So" "I only do that to get a way from your annoying questions, Sa-kun!" the girl snapped. "I have had it with you and them.. And especially that Damned Sasuke!" she said in a raised voice. "Do you wish to know why I train and stay in my lonliness? So I can give you TRAITORS your Divine Retribution! You think you are so great because you are the firstborn and the 'Heir'? I should be the Heir. Me! I am the Firstborn of the Firstborn! And he took that from my father!" "That's enough!" A stern voice said. "Shiko... To your room. No dinner." a man said from the doorway. He stared at the woman with his sharingan. "My name is not Shiko. And it's not 'The Damned child that Itachi and Sada brought forth'. I am" "I couldn't care less. Go." he barked. The girl stood, ready to lunge for his throat. "Yes, Sasuke-sama..." she whispered as she stood, calm and composed once more. She turned and walked gracefully up the stairs, casting a final look at Samaru. It was spiteful and Omnious. Samaru realized he had stopped breathing.
"That child is too much like Itachi.." Sasuke said at the dinner table later. A darkly beautiful woman sighed as she set a final plate on the table. She balanced a small child on her hip as he wrapped his fingers around her brown hair. "She's simply growing up, Sasuke-san." she said. A small girl looked up from her food, a scared look on her face. "Is Michi Ane-san going to kill us?" she asked, horror in her voice. Ane-chan won't, Samaru thought, She's always been so kind. "No, Ayumi-chan. I won't let her touch any of you." Sasuke assured his daughter. Samaru could tell his father was doubtful if he could stop Michinochihime if she tried anything. She won't do anything. Stop thinking about her like that. Stop talking like that.
Michinochihime could hear the conversation from downstairs with stunning clarity. She knew what Samaru was thinking. That she was gentle and too protective of her family to do anything. She couldn't decide whether or not to laugh. Foolish child...
"Sa-kun... No matter what I do, will you always forgive me?" Michinochihime asked as she walked him to the Academy the next day. "Of course. You're my Ane-chan. For forever. "he said with an innocent grin. Michinochihime smirked, the lines around her face showing. "Arrigato..." 'SA-KUN!" a young girl said as she rushed towards them. More children followed. Michinochihime's smile faded. "You are...lucky.. to have people who care for you, Sa-kun..." she said in a low voice. "I'll see you later..." she said as she walked away.
Michinochihime changed into traditional mourning clothes, shut her bedroom door, then pulled out her parents Prayer sticks. "Oto-san... Oka-san..." she whispered, holding back tears. Sasuke entered the room. He saw the writing. Uchiha Itachi. "GIVE ME THAT DAMN THING!" he hissed. Michinochihime turned, startled. Sasuke grabbed the Prayer Stick and snapped it in two. He then took his sister-in-law's stick and broke it. Michinochihime stared. Her treasures were...gone... And he did it. Michinochihime grabbed Sasukes arm as it went for her. "YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!" she screamed. She snapped his arm, breaking the bone. Then, she grabbed the end of her fathers memorial and drove it through Sasuke's heart. "Die, Bleed out, you PIG!" she said in a venomous tone. He was dead. But Michinochihime was not sated. She went downstairs, Katana in hand. "Michi-kun... Wh...What just"
Samaru was at the front gate of the house when he saw Michinochihime. She held a red katana as she walked away. She turned to look at him. "The pretenses may be different... But everything will happen again...Time is an endless wheel, my Brother..." she said. "Wha~?!" Michinochihime felt a tear run down her face. "Look..." . She disapeared in a cloud of black flame, like a dark phoenix.
Years later, both Uchiha Samaru and Uchiha Michimochihime remembered those tears. One called them the 'Tears of a Devil.. Unable to take what it wants... me..." The other recalls guilt and felt pain the other would carry for years. As both sank deeper into the Darkness, all they can recall is January 17. Michinochihime's 12th birthday. One Helluva birthday.
