   Most recent FF: 300 years into the future
Hatake Megumi sat and stared at the sun as it slowly hid behind the trees. She waited for the peacefulness of the night when noone could see her, especially not the Proctors who were attempting to find her for sneaking into the Forest of Death. "HATAKE-SAMA!" the girl proctor screamed. "MEGUMI-SAN!" her companion called. Izumi and Hadachi. Driving themselves crazy looking for one little girl. Megumi was a chunin. She could protect herself. But she desended from Hokage, so she was always watched. Never free, always either being shown off like some prize or being hidden from others. A soft hand stroked her long silver hair. A pale, wan face looked at her.
"Hatake-san." the soft voice said. "Sakikokoro, what do you want?" Megumi asked. Sakikokoro laughed, then coughed softly. "C'mon. We can ditch the others." she said with a smile. "There's ramen in it for you if you" Megumi was gone like a bullet, until Izumi and Hadachi stopped her. "Eh, crap..." Megumi muttered. "Lady Hatake, you put your mother's sacrifice in vain by doing dangerous things like this." Izumi explained. Hadachi stayed silent. "Lady Jikan, may she rest in peace, would be horrified by such reckless action, Megumi-sama. You will be reprimanded by Iwa-tono for this." Izumi continued. Izumi kept talking as Hadachi stood behind her. Megumi stared. Hadachi started making faces behind his partners back. Megumi tried not to laugh. He then acted like he was going to kick her in the butt while mouthing J-A. Megumi couldn't hold it anymore. She laughed like crazy. Hadachi chuckled. Izumi turned around to glare at Hadachi. "Chill, Izu-kun." he said politely. Sakikokoro descended from a nearby tree.
"Lady Sakikokoro!" Izumi and Hadachi said in unison. Sakikokoro stared at them, her grey eyes clouded over by some unknown emotion. "Let Megumi-kun leave now, or I shall break your jawbones and rip out your tounges." she said cruelly. Megumi looked up at the woman beside her. Sakikokoro had a dark beauty beyond her age. She had long black hair and large grey eyes. Her skin was like ivory and felt like soft silk. She normally wore dark colors taht made her look even more beautiful, but on that night she wore a green shirt and denim skirt. Hadachi stared, totally enamored by the vision before him. Izumi glared in jealousy. Thw two took some steps back and Megumi and Sakikokoro dissapeared into the night.
Megumi had eaten Y 6,000,000 by the time the night was over. The good news was that Sakikokoro had a bottomless wallet. Megumi looked behind her at one point and saw...
"Itami-Onii-kun!" Megumi squealed, running towards him. He looked up from his ramen and smiled. "Ne-chan. How's my favorite girl doing?" he asked. Megumi smiled. "Fine! You? It's been almost a year! Where've you been?" she asked. Sakikokoro looked at Itami for a moment, then turned, a sad gleam in her eyes. Quit daydreaming. she told herself. Itami laughed. "1) I'm fine, thanks 2) Sorry i didn't come back sooner, but your father sent me on a mission, since I am the Hokage's personal" "Personal Assasin. I know." Megumi said, hugging him. "So how's the lucky Bast... Boyfriend?" Itami asked. Megumi laughed. "Arashi's fine! Oh, and," Megumi leaned into Itami's ear. "I think Sakikokoro-Ane likes you." she giggled, pointing. "Where is she?" Itami asked, looking at the empty seat. Megumi turned. "She must have left...?"
Sakikokoro stood at the memorial, training with a sharp katana. "He...will never... like me like that." she sobbed. She thought of all the times she watched him. She was in love, and knew it. She was in love with the last of the Uchiha.
