Angelus bio: Duel of the Fates
I woke to the sound of gunfire. I leapt off the slab, and the door to the room exploded inward, several ninja-like figures jumping toward me. I drew my sword and managed to block their first attempts. But they had me out numbered 20-1. I lurched forward and out of the room. I found more of the dark figures there, and had to barrel through them. Once I had made it a good distance, I saw Vince and Lv fighting the invaders.
“Vince! Who the hell are these people?” I screamed, before turning and lobbing off three heads.
“Your guess - ” Vince began, but paused to reload his weapon “ - is as good as mine.”
“Really, Vincent, Angelus. I gave you both credit for more brains than that.”
I whirled about, and saw the Slayer entering the sewer.
“Slayer.” I growled.
“Yes. Now, you are all well outnumbered. I suggest you come quietly outside.”
I felt what seemed like a hundred fists clench my arms, forcing me to drop my sword. I saw that Lv and Vince were similarly bound.
I turned my yellow eyes toward the smiling Slayer.
“Did you really expect that I would not return?” the slayer asked once we were all outside. “You didn’t even move your base.”
“The thought crossed my mind.” Vince retorted.
“Who’s the muscle?” I asked, meaning all the ninjas.
“A group of specially trained men from my homeland.”
“And where is that?” Lv asked.
“The same as Angelus here. Hungary.”
“You’re from Hungary?” Vince asked me.
“Yeah.”
“What’s it like over there?”
“Not really the time, Vince.” Lv said.
I smiled. Vince was being smart. He was showing that he had no fear of the slayer by carrying on usual conversation. He was insulting the slayer.
“Enough talk.” the slayer continued. “The time has come for you all to die. Vampires are meant for such.”
“Too late.” I said. “Already dead.”
As one, Lv, Vince, and myself all leapt free of our captures, and began what closely resembled as barroom brawl - of 3 fighting 100.
Blows were thrown like darts, striking hard, sharp, and to the target. In the madness of battle, my eyes met that of the slayer. He removed his black cloak, and released his sword from it’s sheath.
I snarled. “Let’s do this. To the permanent death.”
We stepped toward each other. I heard the slayer’s minions screaming. I knew Vince and Lv could handle themselves without my help.
The slayer and I ran for one another. We met in the middle of the square, in a flurry of fists, kicks, and his sword trying to sever my head from my shoulders.
I kicked his wrist, and his sword was sent sailing out of his hand. He half-smiled, half-smirked, and then punched me viciously in the chin. And I didn’t even flinch. I returned the attack many times more powerfully, sending him into a slight retreat to gain ground.
“Come on.”
We both jumped into the air, and hit out fists together as each tried to attack and block.
I grabbed his wrist and spun upward, kicking him in the chin with both feet. I grabbed his other wrist and tossed him with all my strength toward the ground. He hit with such force that the concrete cracked. He hopped to his feet, and picked up his discarded weapon. My eyes widened and I only barely managed to dodged his blade as it came crashing down.
Now I was in retreat, and he was in pursuit.

And he was fast as hell.

I was eventually backed into a corner, and my only option was to run up the wall. I began to do so, but then I felt a slicing pain run through my left side. I looked down, and saw the slayer’s sword. It had gone through me.
“Hurts, no?” the slayer asked.
I didn’t answer. I couldn’t answer. I had no air in my lungs.
“Angelus!” Lv cried out.
The slayer withdrew his sword, and pulled back to chop off my head. I turned to try to evade the attack, but it was hopeless. I was too boxed in.
Suddenly, the slayer’s chest exploded. As did his right knee cap. I saw Lv and Vince standing a short distance away, their guns raised and smoking. Fire shot from them again, and more blasts of blood appeared on the slayer’s body. I ripped MY sword from his fists and hacked his head off without any hesitation.
“That’s for Ana you rat-sucking-son-of-a-bitch!” I screamed, then continued slicing and tearing at his limp body on the ground. Once his body was bloody chunks of flesh and bone, I looked up, my eyes filled with a blazing light.
Vince and Lv turned, and saw what I was looking at. The ninja-slayers were retreating.
“Do we let them go?” Lv asked.
“Nah.” Vince shook his head. He and Lv raised their guns and released a hailstorm of projectiles, cutting the running foes down like hay with a sickle. After several minutes, the firing stopped. The smoke from the gunshots slowly faded, and I saw all of the foes were down and dead.
I dropped my sword and walked over to them.
“Thank you for you help.” I said, bowing slightly.
“No problem, man.” Vince said, nudging my shoulder. “You helped us too.”
Lv smiled and hugged me. “You’re one of us, Angelus. We have to protect our own.”
For the first time in several centuries, I felt my own lips grin with joy and relief.
“So, what should we call ourselves?” Vince asked. “The Vampire Legion?”
“Sounds good to me.” Lv said.
I nodded. “But we are only three - hardly a ‘legion’ at all.”
Vince smiled. “That’s why we’ll make more.”
