Poetry Corner
I know i have promised a poem...i have it..it just has nothing to do with what i mentioned the other day.

PLASTERED IDENTITY

The blood quickly rushes to her face,
Stinging her cheeks with a rosy glow,
The hot flush causing heat to escape,
As the taste of liquor hangs fresh on her pouty lips,
The intoxicating smell of tabacco occupies the atmosphere,
While a kaleidascope of lights everywhere blind her,
The fast life of cheap booze cause her stomach to ache,
As her surroundings spin quickly in and out of focus,
Time passes by seemingly non existent,
From the fake smile that plasters her face,
It is easily seen that she does not belong here,
Anywhere,
And yet still she drinks what is placed before her,
Eagerly accepting and sipping 'til the last drop,
Perhaps believing that if she was sober she'd have no friends,
No acceptance,
So she continues to swallow,
Using the alcohol as some sort of release,
A release to escape her fake smile,
And her faux identity...
