   Reborn like a phoenix from the flames
I truthfully don't know where I got that phrase from, I just thought it suited, considering the new piece I have up for viewing ^^ (okay, so it's a fox, and not a phoenix, but "like a fox from the flames" just doesn't sound right!)

Anyway, I took my boards exams on Friday... now the extremely long 6-8 week waiting period to see if I passed or not x.X;

I have a story for those interested, but first, I have foxy pics to show off ^_^;

Me and "Swiper" As the doctor named him.
Cute
Could it get any cuter? I think not.

Alright, all that aside now, my ever-exciting story. Firstly, a word of advice: Never let a feline get the better of you; you might wind up in the hospital >_<;

It was my fault really. I mean I know how to properly restrain a cat and all, but I also know that if you use full restraint where it's not needed, that only ticks the animal off more, so I sometimes have a hard time trying to tell just how much restraint I should use. Well Thursday, I guess I made a bad judgement, and didn't use enough on this one cat at the clinic.

She wasn't exactly very aggressive, but I guess she's been known to nip on short notice. She thought she could get away, and when I stood between her and freedom, she turned around and nipped my finger good, causing me to release her and she made a break for it. Of course I immediately washed it out pretty damn good. Considering how often I've been bit by my own cat, I thought little of it, and ignored it till the end of my shift.

By the time I got home, my finger had started to swell a bit, and now it was pretty painful, despite my washing it out well. Now I'd heard some pretty nasty stories at school, work and such about how nasty cat bites can get. I don't know how many of you know this, but cats have some terrible mouths... if they ever break the skin with a bite, more often than not (my cat's just weird I guess o.O; ) they'll cause one hell of an infection.

So I began to worry. We (mother and I) went around town from clinic to clinic looking to treat it, but no one was opened now at 8pm. We eventually found ourselves at the ER at the hospital, just to prevent a nasty infection from getting worse >_<

We sat and waited at that damnable hospital for a good friggin 4 hours before we were seen... and the doctor came in and treated it in 5 minutes -.-; He gave me a tetnus shot which hurt like hell, and a prescription for antibiotics. If I had not gone in though-- that is if I'd just ignored it-- I very well could have lost my finger, so despite the fact that we didn't get out of there until 1am, it was a good thing I went anyway I guess >.>

That being said, I went to bed at about 1:30am that night, and proceeded to get up at 4:30am for my exam that morning... Jeez, I damn near fell asleep during that exam z.z;;

My right arm has been pretty much useless this weekend now, considering I couldn't use my hand due to the rapidly spreading painful infection, and also due to the shot I recieved in my arm... it felt like someone punched me in the arm VERY hard >.X;

Pretty awful weekend, all in all. I hope I did okay =\

So yeah. Wish your daddys a happy father's day, and go check out my pics/art! ^_^
