Wow
It's been so long since I've posted
I'm not really sure what made me come back here
Just something about it felt like I should
I have this Friday and next Monday and Tuesday off from school
And I guess maybe I was a little bored
and a little nostalgic
I don't even know
What I do know
Is that I was so young when I started this
I look back and my posts and even my profile itself
And I feel so much older
No, I'm not thirty five looking back at something I did when I was 12
But I must say
The four years since I started this thing
Have changed me a lot
Even my more recent posts from only one or two years ago
Seem so far away from where I am now
I won't lie
The time I've spent away has profoundly affected me
Not because I wasn't posting
More like, in that time I experienced a seemingly unstoppable chain of events
Which lead me to where I am now
I think differently
I write differently
I act differently
I live differently
It's scary to have so fundamentally changed
I like to think it's for the better
But I don't always think so
I doubt anyone will read this
Most of my friends from here have also abandoned their accounts
Some are even dated back to 2005 as their last post
It's kind of sad
To come back and find everyone gone pretty much
There are a few who are still keeping it up
But they're few and far between
Though, what can I expect
I've been away for a long time
I guess something in me always thought
TheO is something stagnant
It's a solid piece of my history
Which records important memories in blog form
And the people I knew when I was on it
Will always be there
A computer click away
And sure, I've always known that's ridiculous to think
But I still did
Well I'm sure I'm getting a little to reflective to entertain anyone at all
But I want you all to know you're great people
I miss you all
I've never forgotten you
You all mean a lot to me
Maybe I'll be back
And actually post about my life
rather than just a random string of words
which means very little to everyone else
Hell, for old times sake
Why not leave my signature like I always have
