Where did my Koya go?
I CANNOT wait for this semester to end. I want to get out of science now! I have a debate on friday, as well as our argument written out in report form. Then this stupid crap about listing all of the enviornmental laws in our textbook is due friday too. My class has divided this assignment up sorta behind our teacher's back(she's not blind, so she must know something's up), but it's still stressful trying to get everybody on the same page. I've been the "project nazi" trying to lead that up today. I'm still frazzled from it (so if this entry isn't making much sense, that's why)
I got my PSAT scores today. I still don't fully understand the scores. On the verbal I got a 68, math a 53, and writing skills a 70. All of this out of 80, I think. The verbal and writing skills scores are pretty good, but the math score sucks. But then, I suck at math. I want to take the SAT in the spring. I guess I'll have to get one of those prep books. Does anyone who has taken it have any advice? I really could use some.
*squeals* I was reading the last book of the Immortals series, and in the end when Daine stood before the gods, there was that cat who sat in the Goddess's seat. It's FAITHFUL! Alanna's cat! It was so cool finding that last night. It's an exciting revelation for me, anyway. I love finding little things like that! ^_^
I really want the Protector of the Small series, but I have finals to think about, and then my english projects during Chrismas break. Until all that's done, I can't get caught up in a book, or I won't get anything done. Then I'll be screwed. And do you know what the science final is? An essay, 3-5 pages long! We get to see the question the night before exam day, but it's still not enough for me. It freaks me out. I just know I'm going to do terrible on it. Then end up with a B in that class. But at least it will be over with. I can't wait for Christmas break. Next Friday, baby!!!

That's such a cute smiley
Yes, Sara, I'm glad I read them in that order. ^_^
This weekend I have another science project. The second quarter is nothing but projects in that class. My group of four people has to design and make a model of a city, with the welfare of the people and enviornmental issues in mind. It is Enviornmental Science after all. My teacher told me this moring I have the highest grade in that class. Quite an accomplishment in there, escpecially when Emily is in that class too. Well, I did get a 99 on the Endangered Species report and project. (My topic was the five subspecies of the tiger, in case anyone was curious.) Anyway, I'm going to Mary's house to work on the city project afterschool today. I'll be there for hours, working on this pain-in-the-butt assignment. I'll probably end up being the one that types up the report too. I don't mind that much, it's just work my lazy self doesn't want to do. But Mary is busy with band stuff this weekend, and I don't trust Dan or Clay to do a good job of it. And I always feel I didn't contribute enough when I do group projects anyway, so this time I won't have to worry.
All I ever do is talk about school or books in here. I need a life. ^_^

Sara and Tamora Pierce are awesome!
Tamora Pierce is awesome because her books rock. Sara is awesome for introducing me to her books. ^_^ I bought the Song of Lioness quartet over Thanksgiving break. I love them, just like I love The Immortals. Reading more about Alanna, Jon, and George was awesome. And Alanna and Jon. . .!!! (I think Sara would understand that. I don't want to spoil it for anyone ~_^) The first book had me in stitches. "You are no gentleman. You are a dog, and will be thrashed like one." I love that part! ^_^ I'm looking forward to reading Protector of the Small, but I probably won't get it until I get Christmas money. >< I need to concentrate these last couple of weeks of school anyway. And do my summer reading reports over winter break. (ugh) But I'm content, for now at least. ^_^

Changed my intro
Do you think it's too long? I did leave out the chorus in the middle to try to shorten it. That song describes my relationship with my dad these days perfectly. It's almost uncanny.

About Chobits
Now Fartmaster (Is it Gerry?) asked about Chobits. It's a manga. (you know what that is, right? A Japanese graphic novel) It has eight volumns. It's a sci fi about these computers who are in the form of people. (sexy girls, really. Although there are guys and I think one chick has a bunny) The main character found his in the trash and she's supposed to be special and stuff. That's not a good summary at all, but I don't have much time. It's really good, though, and keeps you thinking.
Well, see you all after the break! ^_^
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Substitute Teachers ROCK!!!
I have a sub in Accounting, so here I am. ^_^
Pex asked about the Immortals series. I know he asked like last Thursday, but I've been on the busy side. Better late than never, right? I'd feel horribly rude if I hadn't responded at all.
Anyway, The Immortals is a series of four books by Tamora Pierce. It's of the fantasy genre. This is the summary on the back of the first book, Wild Magic:
- - - - -
Young Daine's knack with horses gets her a job helping the royal headmistress drive a herd of ponies to Tortall. It soon becomes clear that Daine's talent, despite her struggles to hide it, is downright magical. Horses and other animals not only obey the mysterious girl, they come to her and seem to listen to her words. But Daine will have to learn to trust humans before she can come to terms with her powers, her past, and herself.
Set in Tortall during the reign of King Jonathan III and Queen Thayet, Wild Magic is the first book of The Immortals series, which chronicles the time when the world is invaded by immortal creatures and a girl is born with a magical gift that could restore the very balance of nature.
- - - - -
The Immortal creatures are things like dragons, griffins, winged horses, winged apes, spidrens(giant spiders with human heads and torsos) and stormwings (giant birds with human heads and torsos) They can only die by being killed, like in combat.
Basically the story of the series is about the kingdom of Tortall fighting against everything the empire of Carthak sends their way to weaken them; war was never officially declared. Besides the great plotline, the interactions between the characters are very interesting and enthralling, among the animals as well as the humans.
I absolutely love the series. I can't imagine how someone wouldn't like it, honestly. Unless they hated reading or hated fantasy. (Which are also pretty foreign concepts to me) I hope that satisfies your curiosity, Pex, as well as anyone elses. ^_^ Maybe Sara will add anything important that she thinks I left out.
Ok, now on to my own boring, pathetic life. Tomorrow is a half-day, then we have the rest of the week off. Tomorrow night I'm going to the bookstore and buying a whole bunch of books: The rest of the Chobits manga series, hopefully the next volume of Inu Yasha, and the Song of the Lioness quartet, if not Protector of the Small as well. Then I'll hole up in my room for the next few days and just read, taking a break to share a thanksgiving dinner with the family. We're not having any guests, and our extended relatives are too far away from North Carolina (WA and SD, and S. Korea). I'm really looking forward to the reading marathon. ^_^ Although, this is also a good time to start on the summer reading crap for English next semester. >.< I'll just convienently forget that I ever remembered that. ^_^ I've got plenty of time to do the (4) book reports druing Christmas break. (Even though I'm not going to want to do it then, either) ~_^

like them? I'm in love with them!
I finished the fourth book last night. Yeah, I didn't do my accounting homework in order to, but at least I didn't stay up until 3:40 am like I did saturday night (or sunday morning, whatever) ^_^ I absoulutly love these books, and am thrilled to reread them already. I especially liked the last book! ~_^ I'm sorry to see it end though. It just means I have to get the Song of Lionesses quartet. If I understand correctly, The quartet I just read was supposed to be its sequel? And the Song of Lionesses is about Alanna? And why did you have me read The Immortals first?

Mommy's little helper
Fartmaster, please make sure you read the post below. I still can't see your site.
My mom has arthritis or something like that, so her joints ache and she can't do much. I never do chores unless my mom needs me to. But I've had to help a lot around the hosue lately. The other day I had to do the dishes and cook a steak dinner. Yesterday, I had to go shopping with mom, then put away the groceries. I'm not complaining, or acting like it was such a big load of work. It's stuff my mom does all the time. I'm just not used to it. I'll probably have continue to help as the weeks go by. I used to finish cooking a dinner my mom prepared when she worked. And I'm happy to help. I love my mom a lot, and she really appreciates it. And when we went shopping yesterday, she bought me delicious turtles! You know, those yummy chocolate things from Nestle. With the crunchy pecans and soft, gooey carmel, covered with a layer of smooth milk chocolate. ^_^

No, Fartmaster, I can't send you a screenshot. I don't even know how to. (I'm computer illiterate) But I can try to describe it for you. I see the links turned into buttons, starting with "navi" and ending with "Queen Asuka" I see your pic (which kinda creeps me out. I don't like him looking at me) I also see in your intro something about you being a bastard.(?)Words overlap, and I think what's supposed to be a quote from Buddha is on top of the theotaku.com area of the page. And I get a pop up that says your page has errors. the message says:
line: 3
Char: 1
Error: Syntax error
Code: 0
It has always had an error message about your site, and it always takes longer than anybody elses to load. Can you fix it? *whimpers*
And I'm not even talking to Ashley until she tells me where she was yesterday. I must have done something for her to run away from me like that. *cries*
