Apollion
Phase 16
The Gate

The apartment became a place of dull solitude. The owner was now gone, and a part of everyone else had gone with her. The morning sun was beautiful, but went sour as it shone through the apartment windows. Selena lie on the couch with a patch on her chest. Julius sat at her side with her head in his lap. Cindy slept in her father’s room with Temari wrapped in her arms. Pimp and Luminae sat on the floor, feeling down. A sense of disappointment and saddened shame filled the environment of what was the epitome of a happy home. The thought of Vicious 2 rushed to Selena in her unconscious state, and she woke up, suddenly feeling the pain above her right bosom. Julius smiled, and bent down to kiss her cheek.
“Julius,” Selena, said softly.
“I am so glad you are ok,” Julius said, rubbing softly at her face. Selena smiled and saw that everyone was around besides that empty space.
“Where is Vici? Did he kill Malkav?” she gripped his hand tightly, looking up at him.
“I don’t know, but Zero took him away,” Julius said, watching her hop to her feet.
“I have to get him out,” Selena said, searching for her katanas. Pimp and Luminae got up, grabbing their guns.
“Don’t go, he’ll get himself out,” Julius said.
“I can’t wait that long, hun,” Selena said, abruptly.
“He would do the same for us,” Pimp said.
“How do you plan to get past their security system? Swords can’t cut through titanium. You’re going to need some of the new stuff that Blue dropped off the other day,” Luminae said. Cindy came out of the room, carrying Temari in her arms. She yawned widely, and looked at the three girls standing at the counter.
“What’s going on?” Cindy asked.
“I’m going to get your father,” Selena said, grabbing a pair of guns out of the duffle bag that Luminae sat on the counter. Julius got up and grabbed the seven-stringed guitar.
“I’m coming with you,” He said.
“No, Vici would kill me if I put you in that kind of danger,” Selena said, rubbing at his face covered with white hair.
“But you are in just as much danger as I am. That Garnett bitch almost killed you last night.” Selena gritted her teeth with anger, and she loaded the twin glocks with chome slides covering the black handle and shaft.
“I won’t fail this time,” Selena said, wrapping a holster around her white button up shirt. She slid her katanas in the sheathes that were around her waist, trailing down her skin tight blue jeans.
“I’ll be back in a few hours,” Selena said.
“Good luck,” Pimp said, as she handed her a bag of clips. Selena nodded and headed to the door.
“Wait,” Cindy said. “Take Daddy’s gun.”
“You found it?” Selena asked, looking back.
“Yes, here it is,” She pulled the chrome desert eagle out of the back of her pants.
“Thanks,” Selena said, taking the gun as she left.

Malkav woke with the bullet wound fresh on his forehead. He tried to get up, noticing the titanium embracing his arms. His coat was gone, and he lie shirtless on a metal bed, strapped to it. The room was all white as if he had been committed, and just seconds from waking up, Zero walked in with a needle in his hand.
“Are you ready for your execution, Malkav?”

On the next floor up, Vicious sat, nearly strapped to a chair with his head hung low. They’d drugged him through the night, because he kept waking up in violent screams. He sat depressed as a toddler on Ritalin. The room was white like the other but there was nothing but the chair and Vicious. A man walked in and pulled up a chair in front of him. He was quite old, possibly in his late fifties. He wore a black business suit with a black tie. He took off his blazer and draped over the seat as he sat on it backwards, facing Vicious. He stared heavily at Vicious with his light blue eyes with his huge hands gripping the back of the seat. His large shoulders were tense and the grey hair surrounding the bald spot in the middle of his head shined.
“You know, son? You look quite familiar,” the old man said. Vicious’ head leaned back groggily, and he looked up, staring at the nothingness above.
“My name is Detective Copper. I saw on the file that you go under the alias of a “Vicious 2”?” He asked.
“Are you in relation to Vicious, the leader of the Red Dragon Syndicate?” Copper asked. Vicious gained enough strength to look up with his green eyes staring at him.
“I am him,” Vicious said.
“What do you mean?” Copper asked.
“You….wouldn’t…understand. I am his son, but we are at one with each other,” He said, beginning to speak clearer.
“Fucking sicko, you are just an impersonator. How could a human have a vampire son?” Copper said, as he slapped him. Vicious chuckled, and he looked up at him, “I’ll show you in due time.”

The mild day, was overshadowed by the sun, turning the city into a paradise. The Karou patroller was making his rounds through the city on a motorcycle, as Selena saw him while she walked on the sidewalk. Just as he came down her block, she fired the gun. The shell flew free, and the bullet strode ahead, penetrating his neck. The helmet flew off, exposing a young man, no older than nineteen. That would’ve affected Selena on any day, but not to today. The motorcycle was still rushing down the street as Selena met it, and grabbed the handled, swinging onto the seat. She revved it up and turned around, noticing the machine gun on the patroller’s chest. She sped off, picking up the machine gun on her way into the city.
After Selena left, Pimp and Luminae decided to take Cindy, Julius, and Temari back to their old mansion. Cindy refused, and left Temari with the others and decided to go for a walk. She found herself in a park, sitting under a large tree, enjoying the forest green shade. She draped her right leg over her left and crossed her arms. Her long pink hair was wrapped in bun, making her big green eyes visible. Her black boots tapped against the ground and she shivered when the wind blew over her red tanktop. She saw the woman on the motorcycle jet past on the streets with five patrol cars chasing her, and she noticed it was Selena. She got up and grabbed her father’s sword off of the bench and unsheathed it. She ran off after the cars, as fast as she could.

Selena turned the corner on her the motorcycle, squeezing the brake to get a better turning effect. The patrol cars followed, firing at her. The two cars on the end crashed into each other. The pounding of high heeled boots hit the hood of one of the cars, and all they could see was pink hair bursting out of a bun. Cindy darted after the remaining patrol cars, seeing Selena fire on them with a machine gun. The one on the front flipped into the air, and the one behind it dodged. Then two more patrollers on motorcycles road along the sidewalks, and shot at Cindy who leapt towards the falling patrol car. She kicked off of the door of the car, to spring onto the motorcycle of the patroller. The car exploded in the middle of the street. The man threw his elbow back at Cindy who blocked with her fore arm. He threw his other elbow back, and she stabbed him with the sword. She knocked him off of the bike, and sped forward after the last patrol car. The patroller on the other motorcycle got on the street as well, pointing the gun at Cindy. She sped up close enough to the car, and she stood up on the bike. She kicked the gun out of the patroller’s hand and slashed his throat as she leapt onto the top of the car. She saw the gun come out of the window, and she turned over to dodge the firing. She swung through the passenger side, and kicked the officer in the face as he sped off road. She hopped back on top of the car, and leapt off as it exploded after colliding with a wall. Selena looked up and saw the young woman, soaring above, and smiled.
“Thanks Cindy,” Selena said. Cindy winked as she landed and ran away. Selena threw the empty machine gun down and proceeded to enter the Karou building.

“You are a liar!” Detective Copper said.
“Fuck you, I don’t have to explain anything to you. You are crazy for coming in here,” Vicious said, a bit of drool running down to his black button up shirt.
“Crazy, huh, and just what are you going to do?” Copper asked.
“Never underestimate a man when you don’t know of his past,” Copper said. Copper drew a Beretta, and pulled the hammer back.
“I can end you right now,” Copper stated.
“But you won’t, it’s against regulation. Your boss is probably watching you as we speak. Do it, bitch. Break the rules and rebel!” Vicious said.
“Shut up!” Copper’s finger began to sweat.
“That’s right, put the gun away. You know you can’t shoot me,” Vicious continued to challenge.
“I will! Don’t push me!” Copper yelled
“Fuck you!” Vicious spit at his feet. “If you were going to shoot me, you would’ve done it seconds ago.” Detective Copper was so angry at the fact that Vicious was right, and he back handed him with the gun in his hand. As soon as the blood sprinkled onto the floor the alarm went, indicating that an intruder had arrived. Vicious kept his head to the side, peering at Copper with a smile on his face.

As soon as the alarm went off, Zero dashed out of the room, leaving Malkav with four men dressed in all white. They looked like surgeons, and one of them held a needle the needle that Zero had handed him, and he proceeded to inject Malkav with it. As soon as he looked into Malkav’s crimson eyes, he went into a trance. When the other men went to check him, he stabbed one of them with the needle. The other two men tried to contain him as he screamed out in insanity. With the men distracted, Malkav jerked his arms and legs out of their sockets and regenerated them as he made his escape.

Selena stepped onto the elevator, leaving the first floor a red mess. The glocks were smoking like an overheated car, as she loaded them. She could hear the whispering voices waiting at the elevator door. The bell sounded, indicating the elevator was stopping. Before the door could open, Selena opened fire, letting the bullets penetrate the doors and pierce the waiting men. The door opened to a gory picture. Selena prevented herself from becoming squeamish, and continued on. She walked down the halls, checking each room, shooting anyone coming in her direction. The task force rushed in on her from behind, and she ducked into another room. She could feel them approaching, and she put the guns into the holster and drew her katanas. She felt the fear that would drive her adrenaline, and she put on her blindfold, the blindfold that Vicious 2 told her not to wear. The task force burst through the door, and Selena leapt in the air twirling like a gymnast, falling into the line of fire. Her katanas became her shield as the men fired on her. When she was close enough the slashed all their shields in half, and beheaded all the men on the front line. The other men withdrew as she came out of the room. She threw her foot to the back and kicked the man behind her in the face. The task force began to come through the vents, hanging on ropes to fire at Selena who dashed down the halls, glass flying everywhere.
“Vici!” she screamed, in hopes of him hearing her.

He did hear her, just one floor above. The machine guns were spraying as if they were screaming out below. Vicious saw the men run by the window, and then he saw Copper still staring at her.
“Hey bitch,” Vicious called.
“You talking to me?” Copper said, feeling his anger continue to swell.
“You are going to die,” Vicious said, with a crazed look in his eyes. Copper pointed the gun and fired. Vicious smiled, watching the bullet coming for his head. He leaned back on the back legs of the chair, and hopped up to break the shackles around his legs with the bullet’s help. Copper fired again repeatedly. Vicious rolled around on the floor breaking the chair while dodging Copper’s shots. He rolled nearly around the entire room until he reached Copper. He spun up, kicking Copper in his face. The gun went off again, Vicious turned around so it would hit the shackles around his wrists. Vicious kicked the gun out of his hand, and grabbed him by his neck.
“I told you that you were going to die,” Vicious said with the crazed look still in his eyes.

As Selena made her way to the stairs, she was met by a man coming down from the ceiling on a rope with a machine gun in his hand. She hopped onto the wall and sprung off of it, kicking the man and cutting his rope. She spun around in mid-air and cut him completely in half. When she landed she found that she was surrounded corner to corner when she landed.
“Surrender or we will be forced to shoot,” Zero said, finally showing up.
“Where is, Vici?” Selena asked, looking around like a maniac after snatching the blindfold off.
“I can tell you that, you must surrender,” Zero said.
“Vici!” Selena yelled.

“Those are some strong bullets,” Vicious said, before hearing Selena scream out his name below him. “Well, Copper, time is up.”
“No, no, AAAAHHHH!” Copper screamed as Vicious’ fangs sunk into his neck. Vicious drunk his blood and threw him to the ground, watching him go into shock. He picked up the gun, and shot him. He dropped the gun, looking at him dying with his blue eyes wide open. Vicious then balled up his fists, making a popping nose as he drove his fist into the floor. The cement floor, soon cracked and created a circle around Vicious.

“Fuck you!” Selena charged at Zero. The men set up to fire and just as they did, the floor caved in on the men behind them, with Vicious standing on top of them. Vicious leapt and grabbed Selena as he punched through a line of men to escape through the window. Zero ran after them, leaping of the window, but to his surprise Vicious was flying towards the skies and not plummeting to the ground as he thought. Karou choppers arrived, surrounding Vicious and Selena. Zero caught onto one of the rope of a helicopter and pointed his gun upward at the couple. Vicious saw his gun in the back of Selena’s pants. He grabbed it, and Selena looked up at him, grasping at his chest.
“This is it, Vici, I’m sorry, I failed,” She said looking sad. To her surprise Vicious was smiling widely with wide eyes.
“Vici,” she said, as he dropped her. The pilots in the choppers took aim, and fired just as Vicious vanished into thin air. They all hit each other and spun to the ground, as Vicious caught Selena before she hit the surface of a rooftop.
“We are going to make it,” Vicious said, slipping the gun into his pants. Selena stared at him, panting heavily. More choppers were now surrounding them, with their targets pointed at both their foreheads. Selena forced her lips onto Vicious’, believing the every word he’d just said. Vicious took the kiss with open eyes, looking as her lips consumed his. He put his hands on her shoulders and applied pressure. Their lips separated and she began to fall backward off of the building. Vicious threw his head back in wide-eyed laughter as the guns went off. Selena watched helplessly as the helicopters hit their targets. The windows on the helicopters began to shatter, and explode soon after. As she approached the ground she noticed a cloud of smoke surrounded by fire. She back flipped and landed on the scorching sidewalk feet first, ready to spring back onto the building, but before she could get a jump start, Vicious grabbed her shoulder.
“Let’s go,” he said. A hole appeared beside him, looking like a black hole, and they both entered, getting away from the chaos.

After a day of death defying stunts, Cindy found herself walking back to the mansion to meet up with the girls and Julius. The day was becoming darker and the sun was getting ready for bed. She began to see palm trees and she knew she was close to the house. She noticed that she was approaching the house when she saw the black gates, but before she could take another step, she saw a rip in time. What was before her was ripped like shredded paper and sucked her in, like the dimension gate Vicious used. But this was no ordinary dimension gate. It closed up after taking hold of Cindy.
