Phase 26
The Real Folk Blues Part 4
The ballad of Vicious 2's life was about to be shortened, by a man without a heart. Vicious 2 concealed himself in a room on the very end of the mansion. He wouldn't even come out to eat, his attitude had become dull and blank. Not even Melanie could change his mindset. She would come to the room, but Vicious 2 would not let her in, no matter how bad she begged and screamed. He couldn't let her see him like this.
The atmosphere of the mansion was cold and silent, Malkav and Patches had no one to pick on but Milky, and he had even gone through a change.
"Vicious knows how to keep his children in line," Malkav said as a joke, but it sounded so serious coming from his mouth.
"Yep, he sure does," Patches said.
"Let's go, Patches. Bingo and Milky need their space," Malkav said. Malkav and Patches strolled out of the mansion, and left to their own business.
Melanie waited consistently outside of the room, she was determined to see him. Sometimes Vicious 2 couldn't even hear her pleas, they were bleak as he entered his own world. She knocked on the door for another try, knowing that he wasn't going to answer.
"Vici! Open up! You can't stay in there forever," Melanie cried from outside the door. "Please, Vici! I need you! Vicious 2's eyes shot open, he actually heard her. He thought he felt tears from his eyes, but when he felt his face, it was dry and barren. There was nothing Vicious or anyone could do that hurt him worse than hearing his wife cry.
"Stop it, Melanie. Go away," He said, softly.
"Vici, please!" She begged. She started to kick the door in. Vicious 2 heard the door beginning to crack, and he ran over to the closet. He grabbed his uniform and his katana. The hinges on door gave way from Melanie's sullen kicks. By the time she got in though, there was nothing but Vicious 2's wedding band sitting on the table, and a broken window. She darted through the door to the window, and saw nothing as she looked out from the top floor of the mansion.
Zero landed on Mars, hours after Spike did. He wasn't just going to let his father die alone. He went back to his apartment, and got into his race car. He sped off, in search of his father, he loaded his guns while he drove through the traffic. The radio came on, and a familiar voice rang out.
"Is that....Sindalla?" Zero thought. The song had hit radio airwaves just like that. Zero smiled, he was proud of his Sindalla, but he felt bad, that she might lose him.
The mansion was a wreck, Melanie had ran through the house, looking for weapons. She went through the closets, the kitchen, and anywhere she could. It seemed as if Vicious 2 had planned this out, and hid the weapons in advance.
"Please don't go, Melanie," Brittany said.
"I have to, I can't let Vici die," Melanie said while calming down.
"But, Melanie, he hid those weapons because he doesn't want you to follow him. Don't you see, he wants you to be around to take care of Cindy," Brittany explained.
"I can't live without him, Brittany!" She screamed. "He is the only person I have loved in a long time, then he gave me Cindy. I must pay him back, I just can't give up like this," Melanie then found a pistol in the closet. She loaded it, and took a few clips. "Brittany, take care of Cindy, I love you all," She hugged Brittany and ran out of the mansion.
"Please come back, Melanie," Brittany said while watching Melanie leave.
"Goodbye, Melanie," Little Julius said, with his arms wrapped around Brittany's leg.
Melanie dashed to the garage, and got into the first car she saw. She sped off in the Jaguar, driving awkwardly, like she always does.
Vicious 2 stopped at a store, and dressed into his uniform in the bathroom. After suiting up, he decided that it was time to face Vicious one final time. The syndicate would be miles away from where he stood. He decided to walk, he needed to think anyway. He then saw a car speed by him, and it was Melanie. No one could drive like her, but good thing she didn't no where the building was, and she probably didn't remember how it looked anyway, her memory was so short. A weak smile landed on his face, and he continued to walk.
On the top floor of the building, Vicious sat, waiting patiently for his two victims. He knew Vicious 2 survived, and he knew that Milky had died. He figured that Vicious 2 was coming back to avenge Milky, but that wasn't the deal, because Milky himself was coming to exact revenge for his mother.
Milky was at the front of headquarters, and he entered slowly, with great caution.
Vicious saw him on the security cams, and he was in utter dismay to see Milky still alive,"Let him through," Vicious ordered from the intercome. Milky had his head held down, and both his hands filled with throwing knives. The Syndicate members had their weapons out, but they moved aside when they heard Vicious' commands.
Milky made his way to the top floor, and entered the office. When he stepped in, there was no one around. Milky looked around, carefully. He didn't know much about Vicious, except for the fact that he was his father.
"Joshua," Vicious' voice called from the intercome. Milky turned around, and looked, but no one was still there.
"I lied about you mother," Vicious said. Milky started to feed into what he was saying. "Do you want to see her?" Vicious asked, and Milky nodded. "Turn around, Joshua." He did as he was told, and when he turned around, all he saw was a woman with her back turned. But before he could do anything, he felt a sharp pain through his back. He looked down, and saw a sharp katana blade, perforating through his gut, and he fell to his knees. His vision blurred, and he could no longer see the woman anymore. Milky reached out for her, and then the blade pulled out of him. His eyes gaped open, and he fell face first to the floor.
"Goodbye, Joshua," Vicious said. Vicious knelt down with the bloody katana in his hand. Those were the last words Milky heard before he blanked out.
The cemetery was gloomy, and filled with fog on this windy day. The sun could not be found, but there was no rain in site. The day was cool, but it seemed to get colder when Spike entered the murky cemetery. He walked slowly through the mist, expecting Vicious to jump out of nowhere, he held his hand on his gun, that was tucked at the helm of his pants. He kept walking deeper into the cemetery, until he heard the voice again, "Spike," the voice called from behind him. Spike smiled and turned around to see that it was Faye.
"Faye, what are you doing here?" Spike asked, and smiled.
"I just wanted to see you once again, and I knew you would respond to me calling you unanimously," she replied. She was still beautiful, and her purple hair had gotten longer. She still wore her yellow getup, and she looked as if she hadn't aged a day, except for a few small wrinkles. Spike hugged her tightly, "I missed you, Faye. How is Jet?"
"I don't know, we kinda drifted apart without you," Faye replied. "You have grown, haven't you? she saw the grey patches of hair growing around his head, and the wrinkles that covered his face.
"Yes I have," He smiled.
"So, what are you up to these days?" Faye asked. Spike did'nt answer, he shuddered away from her, and looked down.
"No, Spike, not Vicious again," Faye said.
"I have to," Spike said.
"I've finally realized that, but just forget it, Spike, and come back with me. We could be so happy together," Faye said with her voice, growing weak.
"I am the only one, who can stop him," Spike said.
"Please, Spike," She begged.
"He will just find me again, and I refuse to let him hurt anyone dear to me again," Spike said.
"I know, Spike, I must let you go. I've realized what you have to do, it's your fate," Faye said, with tears in her eyes.
"No, it's my destiny," Spike said, as he turned to leave.
"Spike wait," Faye grabbed his shoulder, and turned him to her. "I love you," she said, softly. Spike leaned down, and gave her a deep and passionate kiss. Faye clinched his waists, and embraced him tightly. He then broke the kiss, "I love you too, faye," He hugged her, and kissed one more time.
"Goodbye, Spike," she whispered.
"Goodbye, Faye," he said, and he left out of Faye's life once again, as he disappeared throught the mist, and out of the cemetery.
