I'm learning how to become a teacher. And sometimes I write a few things about my new experience so far.

Something from my Feb. 10 personal blog:

"On a more humorous note, some kid annoyed me yesterday. There's two interns in this class including me. At the lunch table I asked one a question, and he made an unrelated statment, "I like HER, i dont like YOU." Oh? I replied sternly and made sure he heard, "I don't care!" LOL."

Flash forward to today.

I was sitting on the playground writing notes during my interning at the elementary. Remember the kid that straight-out told me he plain doesn't like me (Refer to Blog: Feb. 10)? Well he approaches me, says he has something to tell me. I'm like, "OK," and keep writing on my notebook. He wraps his arm around me, and gives me a kiss on the cheek.

I looked up and questioned, "Why did you do that?"

"Because I love you."

"Oh. Well, I like you, too." And I keep writing.

So over a few weeks of interning, I quickly understood the best way to handle this kid. Ignore him. Some people just plum like you more when you ignore them. And this was what I did, and it was probably the best way. =I
