   Saturday!
I am so glad it's Saturday. Ofcourse I woke up this morning-- and laid in bed for the next four hours just messing on the internet until I decided it was time to get up. Haha.

The school I'm assigned to is... pleasant. It's smack in the middle of the city, incredibly diverse, and unlike most inner city schools, the students are... high achieving. One of the reasons why I requested that particular school, besides wanting an ESL class, was because there are students from over fifty (I'm thinking eighty) different cultures and nationalities within. The campus population is only over 400. I'm in 4th grade.

Every day there's something that amazes me about the children, and the teachers. The kids love to read. They LOVE to read. I mean, right when they're finished with their work, they read until you have to drag them away from their books.

The students are pretty well-behaved, with the exception of some who are a bit social, and talk when they're not supposed to. But, that's really no big deal. I didn't noticed until the teacher pointed out, but our class is 2/3 boys.

During recess the kids in the same grades play together. There's this boy from another class that catches my eye-- he's quite obnoxious, and blurting out things like an anime character shouting out martial arts techniques. Playful, immature, and annoying. Well, one time I was walking and he was about 2 yards from me, and he put his hands together and yelled out "SUBSTITUTION JUTSU!" (Naruto reference fyi.) Cracked me up.

We were having a group discussion one day, and someone said they didn't like spicy food. Then someone else mentioned Tobasco sauce. So another student asked what Tobasco was, and one boy said that Tobasco was really nasty and could kill you. He also added that it was found in cigarettes. ...So cute.

We also had a student from the Salvation Army shelter. At first she was a little withdrawn, but she started opening up to me, we sat together during lunch, and she even stayed beside me during recess. But, by the end of the week, they found her a new home (even I knew of this before she did), and I won't be seeing her again.

Every day I come home, my feet REALLY hurt.

I'm not religious nor am I anti-religion. I just like these simple comics.
