If your parents never had children, chances are you won't either.
Wow.. so.. today was fun. Woke up early, went to work. My job was to dig holes, plant three little bush-plants, and arrange rocks to make it look pretty. Well.. There were some minor difficulties. Such as not being able to find a spade or shovel. So I decided to use a spoon. I tried that for a while, *enlightenment* then realized that maybe, instead of getting a teaspoon amount of dirt each time, I could use my hands and get like 40 zillion times that much with Each scoop. But then I realized how hard the dirt really was. So I went on a search for the hose, which served fruitful. Except.. it had one of those sprayer things on the end.. and I coulndt get it off. So I decided to just leave it there. I turn the water on, but the water isn't coming out. I pick up the head and pull the little lever. So Birda got a second shower this morning.
But finally, I got the water INTO the half-holes I'd dug. so I let it seep in for a bit, then start digging again. But like inches down there was this big pipe.. hmm. So I found my boss and asked if I planted plants on top if it would ruin the pipe. He says of course not, so I dig around it.
So now I'm pulling the first lil bush out of its pot. It was absolutely adorable, with stringy green leaf-branch things and little itty bitty purple flowers. So I massage the roots a bit and sort of form them around the pipe so the entire mass of root would fit. It worked perfect. I patted the dirt around and moved to the next plant. I could describe these plants all day I swear. I picked these three out, and they were all so different and perfect and.. adorable. I intend to be a botanist when I grow up. My love for plants is immeasurable.
But I have to tell you about the SPIDER!!! I was arranging the pretty rocks, like a good little girl - I LOVE rocks too by the way, I go hiking just to collect rocks whatever chance I get.. - but I was arranging rocks and BOOM. There he was. I swear a wolf spider must have done it with a tarantula or something because this thing was humungous and hairy with the weirdest stripes and the longest legs, and i probably would've been awe-stricken and sat and watched it for a while.. but it made the wrong kind of entrance. Out of nowhere, there it was, and when things fall out of the sky randomly right in front of my face, I tend to freak a bit. So this huge spider is in heaven.. due to the big rock I had in my hand at the time. *looks skyward* please forgive me. But anyway.
So then I pull weeds for an hour and then I scrubbed statues with a toothbrush and lime-away. Terrible hand cramps..
So I've got to be to the church at one, because its 7th wards turn to clean the stake center. So I'm all set. its ten to, and I'm still down at work. I call my mommy to come pick me up. she says she cant, she's too busy, and she said that my sis was also too busy and that I'd have to walk. So I got a little mad and said like the whining teen that I am 'but mommy, I'm gonna be late..' in that annoying voice. She says that jeff will be over to get me. *cringes* he is paralyzed on his left side and drives like a maniac. It scares me. But it was the only choice I had.. so he came and picked me up. So I closed my eyes and clutched my purse in fright and finally we got to the church. alive!
I went in, and my bestest friend Cyndy and I got to empty trash cans and then I scrubbed doorknobs.
Okay so then I had planned to go over to my bestest friend Cyndy's house and help her clean, because I love cleaning her house, but my sister calls me and says she wants me to go on a walk with her. Okay, I say. THinking that she just meant across town and back. you know, pavement. But no. she didn't tell me what she meant be "walk" was "treacherous hike" and so she tells me to get in the car and starts driving. I say, I thought we were going on a walk. She says, we are. I wouldn't have minded the hike we went on at all, except she never told me we were going to go hike up a mountain, or else I would have brought something for my feet besides flip flops. I had so many stickers in my feet I had to stop every couple minutes to rip them all out. Finally we stop at the way top of this hill and I look down because my feet were itching. And I guess I was having an allergic reaction to these pokey things because my feet were all red and swelling. whoops. So she says, alright, lets head back down. I thanked the heavens and practically ran down, tripping all the way, until I saw the car, at which point I began to rejoice.
Mmm.. we were driving real fast.. windows down.. just flying home.. then. then she slams on the brakes and turns into the wal-mart parking lot. Ghrrrmn. An hour and a hundred bucks later and very, very red feet, we walked out of the store. I munched on my sugar snap peas while we drove the rest of the way home.
Which brings me to now. I'm supposed to be cleaning my room. And practicing. but my fingers still hurt and are twitching from typing, and my feet hurt. I don't know what feet have to do with playing a viola, but I'll figure it out.
Oh my gosh I just realized I've been sitting here on the computer for wayy too long. My times up, I'm suprised my brother hasn't come and kicked me off saying its his turn. Someday I'll get my own computer..
