Film Reviw 3
Tosay's film i'll be looking at is a film that, in my eyes, bought the manga world to the UK, Akira Certificate 15.
Kanada and his gang of bikers are in a ruckus with a rival gang when one of the bikers from Kanada's group, Tetsuo, is caught in an accident. this accident is also part of a goverment secret project, called Akira. slowly, but surely, as a result of the accident, Tetsuo's body starts to change, and he gains supernatural powers. together, with Kei, an anti-goverment activist, Kanada tries his best to stop his friend.
the film is highly complexed, and takes some time to undersand it fully, but what it lacks in understandability, it makes up for the awesome action that are the essential fundamental basics of our modern manga today, and more.
i will be rating this film...
8/10 - an awesome piece of animation if i ever saw one. the lip-sync and complicated story line drag its mark down a little, but is a definate 'ust see' film.
