Ushicon!
OP ceremonies for Ushicon begin in roughly three hours! I'm so excited! The Koda concert starts in about four hours (/me laughs at Ricci) If the hotel has a complementary comp w/ internet access, I'll try to post an update or two from the weekend. ^_^

Evil English...
I hate English. I really do. Teacher is making us revise essays on whether or not Hamlet was actually insane. *shakes fist menacingly* Suppose I'll start that soon...
Better news - our bowling shirts *finally* came in. They look like someone rushed them like no one's business, but it's better than nothing, yes?

Update number 1- there was no idiot of the night on Saturday/Sunday. Seems they realized there *is* more to do in this town than annoy the hell out of the bowling center employees.
That's not to say the evening passed uneventfully. Instead, my own mind played the scene. Suffice to say I managed to confuse myself sufficiently that I had to spend about five minutes when I woke Sunday morning getting everything straight. This was also possibly influenced by my friend's teacher's faux pas. If you want the nitty gritty details, leave a comment and I'll post them.
Ushicon is coming up this weekend. Looks like I *will* be driving, instead of being a passenger. Oh well, I'll manage. Still need to grab a couple of things for the Hiro get-up, but it should be ready by the weekend. The good news is I found out I'll have about $300 to spend there ^_^
More updates later.

Idiot of the night!
from the where-am-i-calling-again dept.
Okay, I work at a bowling alley. For some reason, my particular bowling alley seems to act like a magnet towards idiots. Therefore, I'm starting a little thing where I describe the dumbest of the dumb from each night I work.
Tonight's winner is.... the idiot calling asking where he could get replacement cue tips for his cue stick. Keep in mind I work at a bowling alley. Anyway, this guy keeps badgering me about where he can find replacements tips. Customers are lining up, so I bust out the yellow pages and give him a number from there. He asks if I know who does ours (I haven't the faintest idea - nor did anyone else there at the time). He then becomes indignant when I inform him that no one knew who refurbed our cue sticks and that the conversation would have to end. Baka.

Funny thing happened today...
My best friend's teacher (and husband of my calc teacher) mistook she and I for a couple today. While I wouldn't mind the distinction... she certainly seemed flustered, going off on her teacher for about a minute before walking off... funny in any event ^_~

Wal-Mart is EVIL!!
Well, okay, maybe that needs to be explained. I went there this morning to pick up a boomerang and a pair of sweats. The peon I asked said they didn't carry boomerangs right now, as they are a summer item. Logical enough, but still a pain in the ass for me. As for the sweats, they had S, M, 2XL, and 3XL in stock. I'd like to know something - WHO BUYS THESE?!?!
So I guess my rendition of Hiro will be harmless and wear faded pants
8 days till I go to Ushicon....

Late School
For once, I need to thank Pres. Dubya. I know... what the hell could Bush do that I would actually want to thank him for? Well, his 'No Child Left Behind' initiative. Basically, it requires HS students to be tested to see if they'll pass the test for graduation (TAKS here in Texas). Seniors, of course, aren't required to take it, since we've already taken and pass the grad tests. So what does that mean for me? I have to get to school by 12:50 ^_~ Wednesday i used the time to go to the allergist and make fun of the APs. Tomorrow (Thursday) I'll update the registration for my car and stop by Wally World to see if I can pick up a boomerang and sufficient supplies to turn it into this
for my Hiro costume. Wish me luck!

Change of plans...
Cosplay Sancutary was just asking too damned much. Ergo, I'm slapping my own costume together at the last minute (well, a friend's mom is, but same difference). Biggest change is the character - I'm now going to be mimicking Hiro from Lunar 2. Best part is the whole thing will only end up costing me about $30-$40 ^_^ Much cheaper than $160....
I really should stop doing these at ungodly hours of the morning. Have to go back and correct about 20 typos at least - sometimes replacing the typo with the same one o_O

CS Quote
Well.... ask and ye shall receive. I received my quote from Cosplay Sanctuary tonight - they want $160 + SH for the DUo outfit. Seems just a *little* pricey if oyu ask me.

Tournament!
Had our second TX HS Bowling tournament today against the Unicorns (first tourny against the Cougars went poorly at best). I won both of my normal games with a 230 and a 124. Strike percentage was .67 on the first game (8 of 12 posible). Second game I fell apart (probably because I only got four hours of sleep last night). Luckily my opponent wasn't having a good day, so I still managed to beat him by about 20 pins or so.
In the Baker matches (explanation in the comments), I went X and / in the first game, and O and O in the second (second games weren't kind to me today, were they >.< ). Despite my worst efforts in the second game, we won both of those as well. As a team, we performed well enough to win the tournament. Oddly enough, it didn't feel much different from losing  .
In other news, I'm going to strangle the folks over at Cosplay Sanctuary if they don't get me a quote for the Duo costume.
