Part two of the update...
So... my personal life. Let's see... I've accepted admission to the Colorado School of Mines beginning fall of 2004. My experince in my field of choice will start sooner though - I'm working at my uncle's engineering firm over the summer. Enough about the future though.

Late late Friday night I received a call whilst I was at work - seems one of my best friends had a fight with her mother about her boyfriend. When she first called she was carefully guarding aural signs of her emotions, though her diction made it obvious something was amiss. When I returned her call after I left work, she was, well, not sobbing, but wasn't too far from it. I offered to come over to talk to her instead of by phone - it seemed to me whatever was wrong wasn't going to be helped much by a digital voice coming out of a two-inch speaker. She may as well have said no.. her wording was something along the lines of 'if you want to.' I asked again a couple minutes later - this time she said yeah. After a brief fight via cell with my mom about whether or not I would go, I made the thirty minute drive to her house, and stayed for about one-and-a-half hours helping her calm down. She was a lot better by the time mom called and asked when I was coming home, so I think it's good I was able to help her at least a little bit.
I've finally said enough to the conditions at work and gave my boos my two week notice. One can only take so much bullshit for $5.25 an hour.
School is out in two weeks ^_^ It's about time - 14 years of school is about to come to a close (pre-K and K inclusive in case you were wondering).

My love life is of course as always non-existant, and I fear it shall be until I arrive at Mines. I wonder why I'm afrad of being single though...

Wisdom of the day - Always be prepared to parry the worst Murphy's Law can throw at you.
This comes from my animation project. I was throwing together the choreography for the final movie on the night before it was due (baka, I know). I was wondering when A:M would crash... usually it's unstable as hell. It didn't crash once... until I clicked save to save the near-finished choreography. A:M locked up, ergo I lost the choreography in its entirety. So instead of having a grandiose 30 second long film, I rendered a crap 10 second strip. Ugh.

Details from the predictably-boring prom will come later.
