   CH3: wounds
I awoke, looking around I was on a table and my wounds were wrapped. The dried blood was see-threw. I got up, feeling hurt. I couldn’t move my front left leg. “that damn wolf broke it!” I snarled.
I tumbled over the seat and ran outside, away from them. I looked back and kept limping. I panted over and over, I was getting on my own nerves by doing that. I walked until I came across my school. I went into the playground, and it was still covered in blood.
There was a cigarette butt on the ground. I picked it up, lit it, and took one hit. I put it down again, and sat on the bench. I waited for a while, then I opened my eyes and saw Michi. My nose wrinkled up into a ball, but he smiled. He came over to me. “You know what’s funny about this?” he asked. I looked at him, still growling. “what?” “I’m only 9 years old, and your 11!”

I looked at him. “what!?” I didn’t know what to say. I was speechless. I looked at him, and chuckled, trying to pass time. Then I laughed. Michi joined in. Time flew, by the time was 6:oo pm. I was already at the Old Penny’s Store. We got a few candy bars for free and quickly ate them. Chocolate on my mouth, I whipped it off with my sleeve. I walked around with Michi for a while. We soon came to a crime seen. We went over to see what happened. There was chalk on the ground, shaped like a human body but with none in between it.

There was a cigarette pack next to it, clumps of blood and a broken mirror. Orange cones surrounded the shape and a crowd formed. I pushed them out of my way and went threw the cones. “back up sonny! This is no place for kids!” one man said grabbing me and carrying me back out. “leave me alone!” I struggled. Michi appeared in front of the man. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you!” he threatened.

The man hesitated, “oh yeah? Why not?” said the man in a gray jacket, holding me. I looked at Michi. His arms were folded across his chest. He looked confident, very confident. He tilted his head back a bit and you could see his one fang come out from beneath his lip. “Because he has me!” “ha ha ha!” cried the man. “Your only 9 years old, what’re you going to do about it?” Michi’s reaction changed quickly. His eye, once human, now wolf. He charged at the man holding me and jumped up, biting is neck. Blood squirted. The man fell back, screaming for his life. He let go of me and I fell to the ground.
I got to my knees and then stood up, dusting myself off. I looked down at the man then back up at Michi. “Ready?” I asked him. “yeah” he looked down at the man and turned around. I looked at the running crowd. Michi began to walk so I followed.

After a while we were in the woods. “Michi” I said. “Yeah?!” he responded. “where are we going, now?” I asked. “Paradise” he said. My eyes grew big and I fell back onto the forest floor. “something wrong?” he stopped and turned to see me. I gulped. “Mamma died that way” I said. He smirked. “then I guess she wasn’t the one” he began to walk again. I sat still on the floor. “Lets rest” he stopped at a log and slipped in.

I leaned back, laying on the ground. I store into the sun’s glares and closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

Flashback

“Mama please don’t go. You’re the only thing I have left, just don’t leave me like my other mama, please?” I cried. Mama put her hand on my head and took off my hat. “Just do what I said, please Oko, and get out of here. I don’t need you to die, too. Then when your old enough, you can make your own pack and follow in my paw prints, sound fun?” she asked me in pain. “Please?” she begged. “Okay mamma, I will.” I got up and started to walk with my hat in my hands.
I kept walking but I turn back for a second. Mama dragged herself over by some rocks and laid there. I turn forward and tried to block it from my memory. I had to get away. I turned wolf and ran as fast as I could. I ran down the mountains but slipped a few times. I was able to catch my balance all them times when I slipped. I jumped down a rock and slipped again. I went to catch my balance again but my ankle twisted and I kept falling.

I hit my head on another rock and my hat fell off. I went to grab it but gravity wouldn’t let me. It flew away before my eyes. The only thing I had to remember Mommy was gone. I finally fell to the dusty ground. I smashed my jaw but I managed to get up. I whipped off the drool from my mouth and stood on my knees. I hit the ground with my fist and began to cry. “why?” I screamed. “Why did they all have to go?!”
There was a voice over top. “Kid” someone said. I looked up. There stood a mysterious silver wolf, glowing with blood red eyes. “toughen up, boy” it said without movement. “but everyone left me!” I cried. It stood without an expression. “does it matter?” it said, still. “everyone dies sooner or later and if you can’t except that” the wolf paused. “You’re no wolf” it turned away. I was so shocked I could move. I stopped crying and I looked to the ground.

I looked up ready to respond but the wolf was gone in thin air. I sat back. I looked into the gloomy sky. I thought for a while and then after an hour or so passed, I got up and walked away.
